Everyone from the owner John to the bartenders are extremely inviting . I go during the day and Erica and Sarah are fantastic , treat me like a friend and the night staff as well Izzy and Erin , friendly and quick to serve and attentive. Besides the amazing staff there is the amenities . The pool tables are high quality big 8's and get refelted often not to mention free pool always and since there are three of them there is hardly ever a wait. This is the kind of place that keeps its long term customers. Smoking is allowed in the bar but you wouldn't really know it because it's clean and never smells like it . The customer rewards and drink specials make sense to the crowd and come in handy and inappropriate behavior is handled very classy and almost never happens from the customers. They allow dogs 12-9pm! Spacious outdoor seating. They have cold beer although no miller on tap. Didn't try any food here yet but might. Make sure of you do being your dog bring bags in case it poops, which my dog waited until we got outside. Decent beer specials and ladies night Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not a bad place to come have a drink with your dog. They have two nice pool tables and a shuffleboard table and a few dart boards and even a beer pong table outside. There isn't a menu to speak of, the only good options are a warmed up frozen pizza or chips so eat sommers else before you come here to drink I guess. There's Plenty of food places nearby too.. This is my usual Saturday night spot because of the karaoke on the outdoor deck. There is free pool and the table are regulation size, not the common bar size found at many other establishments. The crowd is generally from mid-20s to mid-30s. The karaoke music preference is generally country, classic rock, and modern rock. Inside the bar, I've found that most people listen to the same music I've mentioned previously, with some hip-hop thrown in. The parking is probably my biggest issue. No one tells you nor does the jute box say that someone can go on the app and pay to by pass all of your songs that you PAID for. 2 hours later no songs that you picked and PAID for. I'm only giving this establishment a 3 cause, perhaps I should give less cause they always have a tendency to overcharge more than what you actually order and add gratuity as well despite the transaction including tip of which I usually don't mind.. I don't really know where to start with the positives on this review, other than the drink specials. This place has little to offer in terms of service or environment. The bartenders were lethargic at best, though I'm hesitant to blame them as that is likely a result of breathing in cigarette smoke, and the place smelling of it. It is an assault on the senses the minute you walk in, if you stay long enough for a drink, you'll leave smelling like it. read more

This is a great place to hangout with friends and have a few cold beers. You might think it's a country bar from the street but there are all kinds of people there and you can play your favorite music on the jukebox. Two weeks ago was our first visit to this ice house. We really enjoyed ourselves, with just a few things that were a bit of a downer. Walking in we were greeted by the bartender's dog -- a friendly, very well mannered Pit Bull/Staffordshire Terrier perhaps? We loved that! The atmosphere is casual, saloon-like, with a nice long bar and plenty of seating inside and out. Erica was our bartender and she was GREAT. Friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome. We struck up conversations with other patrons, as it was a friendly crowd. Age group was Mid-20's to late 30's for the most part. We went to the outdoor patio and LOVED IT until the DJ and his friends started smoking pot (see biggest complaint below), then we went back inside. The patio is super spacious, with a firepit and seating around it, picnic tables, and a whole area with bar tables and chairs. Outdoor heaters, lights, and a really nice stage make for a a great atmosphere. Downers: * No food. There is no kitchen here so all they have is small bags of chips and nuts you can purchase. I hear they sometimes have bar food brought in for special occasions. * Bathrooms. There are two restrooms for women. One is inside the pool room area, where there are hard core pool players -- don't bother coming to play pool because the regulars won't give up the tables, and they tend to smirk and make comments when a "newbie" comes into the area even to use the restroom. * BIGGEST COMPLAINT: the Karaoke DJ outside on the patio and his friends were all smoking pot, relatively openly. I am not a prude, and don't really care what anyone else does, but it definitely is not something I want to be around. Here's the thing -- the DJ was super nice, professional, and friendly and made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. His friends were really nice as well. We hated to go back inside, but like I said, nobody wants to be around that in public. We will most likely go back and see what happens, give it another shot. read more

I had emailed this bar to see if they would be playing the Aggie vs Sam Houston pay per view game. I was told that they would - so we drove from Katy to go watch it there. WATCH OUT FOR THE BAIT AND SWITCH. We came in and ordered two beers. The waitress said three dollars. I opened a tab with my credit card. At the end of the night that same bartender says no it was three dollars a beer. Now normally if it was three dollars a beer would she not say its six dollars after we bought our first round? Warning, the regulars who play pool make you play for your table. So if you have intentions of playing with your date then don't bother even going in. These dudes come sporting their own sticks so its pretty hardcore. Bartenders were friendly :) We didn't venture to the outside and it was a Sunday so they just had a DJ inside playing a mix of country, rock, alternative, and dance type songs. Karaoke was out on the patio thankfully, and entertaining, but the smoking environment inside and the overall was not what we were expecting. We had tried to use the "get one free drink" when checking in via yelp app and they had me give my phone number, register with my phone after receiving a text, and then two days later I received an offer for a free drink if I came back in to the place by that very weekend. Never seen that ever with offers with Yelp. Clearly not the same for just checking in through Yelp. It was our first time so we were just trying to get a feel for the place but if they were marketing to get new people in the door it seems off they went about it that way. read more
