I wish we had a better experience at Lolo because we were really looking forward to it. First of all, they have you pay a deposit for your reservation which is fine, 30 euros. Except when you arrive and they tell you they don't have the reservation you PAID for. Okay, so they accommodated us with bar seating, works for us we're not picky and the atmosphere at the bar was great. We sit down, the male bartender is chatting with a few gals next to us. We sit, we wait- about 8-10 minutes before he approaches us and offers us drink menus. We order our drinks. Another 5 minutes for preparation. We get said drinks and I then ask for dinner menus for my boyfriend and I, considering I made dinner reservations for this birthday, the bartender rudely and abruptly says "we don't serve dinner at the bar" to which I respond, well I would be sitting at a table but your reservation system seems to be messed up and I was forced to sit here. The women who seemed to be the manager is walking by at this point and says "they're fine to eat at the bar ..". We order our apps, and they arrive promptly. We're enjoying them and our drinks having a fine time. We put in our main course, the manager approaches and says "I have a table would you like to move" we politely decline because at this point we're already eating and comfortable at the bar. She basically insists we move to a table. Okay fine we move over.. inconvenient but whatever. After we move I notice she sits 3 girls at the seats we were on at the bar, so clearly just moving us and disturbing our time so they can fit more guests even though we were already inconvenienced. At this point we're sitting at a table with empty drinks, and having ordered our entree about 25 minutes ago, getting quite annoyed. We get more drinks, get our sub par entree and are on our way. I would not recommend Lolo to anyone. The food was 5/10 at best, and the service was 4/10 maybe.

Ambience is very cool at this spot, can be romantic or just plain fun , we had a sashimi which was amazing and a pasta service was nice and we enjoyed deeply our time here

Super dope interior here. Almost sex club like vibes but I wouldn't go that far. The energy is there and they put that into the drinks/food. The place is also huge if you walk end to end (which you can as their is entrance/exit on either side of the restaurant. The Italian side of things was well done as the spaghetti (ragu) and pizza were both enjoyable. The bartender was an absolute beauty as well firing out fire + creative cocktails all night.

This new spot was a place my friends found on the last day in Amsterdam. Made a reservation with a 50-60€ deposit (taken off the final total of the bill). Feels like two different vibes. The front is romantic and a great date spot. The back is a little more fun for groups with the bar area. The back also feeds out to one of the alleys in the Red Light District. Can enter either way. We shared a lot of dishes to get a taste of everything. Great food. See below for recs. Appetizers: Recommend the lamb. So tender. Amazing flavor. Maybe the best dish we had on the night. They do overload the sauce but for meat lovers you really know that this is GOOD lamb. Main course: Mussels w/ pasta. Great flavor. Seafood was so fresh. Artichoke ravioli. Really different but incredibly delicious. Spaghetti w/ burrata. Great end to the dinner. Bread not included but you have to get an order or two of focaccia to finish all the extra sauce. Drinks: Recommend the mezcal drink (not margarita). Good wine list but didn't have any.

How this place doesn't have more reviews is insane to me. My wife and I stood outside waiting for this place to open and it did not let us down. As an individual blessed to travel as much as I do, I showcase my excitement through my camera. The staff was so supportive and welcoming to that and allowed me all the freedom to do so. We were booked as a party of four but because our friends couldn't make the trip we became a party of two and they still allowed us to keep our seats. I was escorted and given a so much freedom to take photos and learn about the concepts and the restaurants menu. Everyone seemed to have a valued place in the staff and it showed through the hard work and respect to both the customer and each other. The Food: Absolutely amazing! To say anything else would probably make you second guess it.

Another very nice Italian place in the little Italy street from Amsterdam…read more Don't expect pizza's here though this is a real kitchen! This very small Italian is always packed. In the open kitchen you can see (and hear!) the chef work his magic. The bread, the starters, the fresh home made pasta's and the secondi's are all amazing. They import a lot from Italy themselves, and you can even but a bottle of olive oil here. The place is full of ferrari signs, foto's of Sophia Loren, etc. It feels like a second home. Great for a nice romantich night out or a double date, maybe not so good if you go with more then 4 people, as the place is very small. Expect to spend about 115 euro for 2 persons incl a bottle of wine. Make sure you reserve a table!

On the outside it doesn't look all too fancy. Inside, the tables are closely arranged; making getting up from your table quite a challenge at times. However the waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere cosy. I had the truffle tagliatelle, which tasted excellent, but sadly wasn't cooked properly; it stuck together. Same goes for the pasta with sausage we had. Maybe the secondi taste better, but I'm not prone to go check them out after this experience. All in all, good service, but for the pricing they might pay a little more attention to the food.
