Well food was delicious.....but service not.....I tols the waiter was my husband birthday and they completely ignore the request.i think the owner have to reeducate the service to be more cordial with the guess,since the food is so good the service can close the place. just a suggestion. read more

This place is fantastic. They give you complimentary bread sticks and Peruvian salsas which are amazing. The wait staff are extremely kind and helpful. Checked this place out after being recommended my in-laws. Not sure if it was a joke but this place was totally lackluster for service. First off they ran out of Pollo a la Brasa. Not sure how higher end restaurants run out of food, so I go for steak instead. The bread sticks were brought out a moment too early but I was so hungry waiting for food I didnt seem to mind at that point. My in-law's wife did a great selection on the pinot-noir which was the highlight of the night, hence the 2 stars. Our food was out after 20 minutes of order and several conversations and a bottle of wine. There is a wood fired oven we sat next to which ocassionally was fired up but I never saw it put to good use since they had no pollo a la brasa. I had an order of steak/fries/ and a mountain of what was steamed rice with a touch of flavoring. It was ok. The steak portion was on the short side since I can score a better steak just about anywhere else for the money. NO STEAK SAUCE! so Ketchup it was. Long story short, I would definitely not be stopping by since for that kinda money I could feed a village on Pollo Inka instead. What you get here is the experience of what would be Peruvian food. Which by taste is close but by portion they are way off. Having had authentic Peruvian food from a Peruvian family this is a commendable shot. You are better off going down the street if you stomach a better bigger diner. read more

I am married to a Peruvian, and I've been to Peru 3 times already, and to almost 20 different Peruvian Restaurants in California. I asked for Fish. (It wasn't ceviche). It was supposed to be cooked fish, and it was raw. They were so busy that they never came to ask me how I was doing. My husband and I visited this wonderful restaurant for the first time last night, I have to say we had excellent customer service from the minute we stepped into the restaurant to the end of our meal. The manager, in particular Mauricio, was exceptionally wonderful and his customer service skills were beyond fantastic and he made sure we were very comfortable. We had a wonderful experience and our meal was authentic and delicious. We've visited many Peruvian restaurants before as my husband is from Peru and we never experienced such great food, great atmosphere and wonderful service. Good Job Lola's restaurant, we will be back. Just a quick note I had the Loma saltado and my husband had the Ceviche, they were both exceptional and delicious, we will be back again. Next time we will visit on a Friday as there is live music on Friday's... we will look forward to it. read more

Horrible service! Food was nasty. Never returning here. Came here for a Valentine's Day dinner at 4:30 with four ppl for Valentine's Day. Waitress didn't greet us nicely, she hurried us to order, didn't add one of our orders so I shared a plate, didn't have enough waters and bread on the table. We had to ask her three times for the water and bread. First batch of bread was stale until they made more. The juice tasted like juice from concentrate. She lied and said it was made there. The chicken was bland. The steak was hard. The quinoa chicken was bland. Food was cold. Waitress never checked in on us or refilled our waters. Ended up with the runs after my meal. She wished us a happy v day at the end probably for a good tip. I had to ask the bus boy to help us. Lazy service. Bland cold food. This place could have more potential with better cooks and staff that actually look like they want to be there. The only good thing was the music. Don't believe the good ratings. Armenians sport the baddest tracksuits. Peruvians make killer chicken. These are statements of truth, and what you'll find if you visit this little fave of mine on Brand in Glendale. While there's a full Peruvian menu on offer, you'll want to hold on the ceviches. They're not bad at all, but the chicken is what's up here. Watch it roast to perfection in the wood-fired rotisserie and order it up in a saltado or one au naturel with your choice of sides. The trick is to get here early (like 7ish) before they shut down the rotisserie. If you get it right off the spit, this might well be the best chicken in L.A. It puts Zankou on its knee and spanks the crap out of it. Seriously. read more

Low rating mostly due to the service. Came here yesterday (Sunday) evening and the restaurant wasn't too busy. No wait and still open tables after we were seated. After we placed our order, it took more than half an hour to get our food. The whole time we were waiting, they didn't check on our table, ask to refill our water, or anything. Not even to tell us why the food was taking a while, up until we finally asked one of the servers. The server said it was coming out now, but we still waited like 10 more minutes. Apparently the cooks were backed up on some order. But no one bothered to tell us, until we asked. So the fact that the servers didn't even come back to our table, makes us not want to come back. My fiancé and I walk her from our condo three or four times a month. It's delicious and the staff is always smiling and friendly. I always get the pollo al vino but have tried other stuff my fiancé and friends have gotten and you just can't go wrong. The wine list has some good Malbec and California wines. I tried one Peruvian wine and wasn't impressed but that's not the restaurant's fault. I highly recommend this restaurant for date night and small group dinners. read more

I really like Peruvian food and this place does a decent job of it. I've been there several times, but only because it's close to where I live (and I have yet to find a good Peruvian place in Burbank where I work -Chozo Mama is okay, but not that much better). The staff is nice enough, but I've noticed their prices have increased while their portions have decreased over the past year or so. The chicken is still tasty, but the meat dishes leave something to be desired. I would only recommend this place if you happen to be in the area and happen to crave some Peruvian Chicken and happen to not want to drive very far. I really hope they realize how much they've let things go and get their act back together because they have a pretty primo location. read more

There must have been a change in the chef or management, because this place is way better than it used to be about 3 years ago when I went last. I remember going there and the food was just sad. It wasn't a very good Peruvian place to eat at, but I went there with a couple of buddies today for lunch and it was spot on. The half chicken which I ate, was rotisserie cooked and just amazingly tasty. The spices and herbs and marinade were spot on. It was extremely tender. My friend, who has traveled extensively and eaten ceviche throughout South America, said his ceviche was spot on great. In fact better than mamita's which is down the street. The waitress was raving about rotisserie pork, which I'll have to get next time. And the pork belly looks amazing. Inside decor is really nice. It's a smaller and cozy restaurant. Nice bar. Wine selection. I'm really impressed with this place since the last time I came. And next time I go in I'll order something else, if it works out, I'll give it 5 stars. Table Service from Thelma was great. You'll need to be good in this town with Peruvian since Con Sazon and Mamita's are in town and both are great. We went here for a nice date night (it was our wedding anniversary). They accept reservations, and we sat at one of the two outdoor sidewalk tables, which was lovely and romantic. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered a glass of sangria, which was delicious although not very alcoholic. We had the ceviche sampler appetizer (the fish one), which was AMAZING and super fresh. I highly recommend it. I ordered the lomo saltado, and my husband ordered a pork dish that came with rice and plantains. Both dishes were good, although we both felt our meat was slightly overcooked and thus a little dry. I entered Lola's today for my 2nd ever dining experience with them. I had fond memories of my first time there (minus the wait time--but I understand--it was a busy Friday night) and was hoping to enjoy the same food I had beforehand. I ordered the Pollo Al Vino and my friend ordered a breaded seafood plate. While we waited for our food, we munched on the house bread and two dipping sauces which were pretty wonderful. When our meals arrived, we were both surprised to see how big the seafood plate portion was. My chicken was too salty, so I gouged my face with all the rice, plantains, and water I could handle. The busser/runner was awesome, refilling my water constantly. Maybe I just got the bad plate of the day; I don't know. But the Lucuma ice cream was a great finish to experience. I'll come back a 3rd time to determine how I feel about Lola's and hope to give them an extra star or two at that point. read more

At the suggestion of a co-worker, we took another co-worker out tonight for a birthday dinner! Many in our group had not ever had Peruvian before. And a few others of us had. We all left raving. Each one of us had something different and it was all delish! Also, our waiter, Jared, was fantastic! The place started to get busy and there seemed to be only our server and one other.
