I've tried a few Peruvian restaurants. I've had authentic Peruvian food thanks to my brothers ex girlfriend. This place is good. I had the ceviche de camarón here and the rotisserie chicken with salad and fries. The ceviche is was good. I always order ceviche, it's one of my favorite foods. Especially Peruvian ceviche. It's always very citrusy and has a bunch of different elements. Like the corn, seeds and sweet potato (I think that's what it is). Lol I ordered it spicy, they offer it from mild to spicy. The spicy is not that spicy tbh. I wish it was spicier. But I liked it. It is a bit over priced $16 or $15, can't really remember but for that price I could have gotten way more at a Mexican restaurant or even another Peruvian place. But like I said, it was good so I wasn't too bothered by it. The rotisserie chicken was surprisingly delicious!!!! Honestly. It was soooo juicy and tender and flavorful. I would definitely have that again. I ordered it with a side of fries that were good as well. I love how thick the fries are cut and that they are indeed cooked all the way through.... have you ever had thick cut fries and they are hard because they are still a bit raw?!!!! I have. And I absolutely hate that. The fries were perfectly salted. The salad was an average salad; it did pair well with the chicken though. I usually order lomo saltado but I wanted to try something else, I will be coming back and next time will try their lomo or pollo saltado. They offer wine and beer, I didn't try any but if you're interested, they have it. Overall, it was a good experience. It is family, and kid friendly which I appreciate considering I have an infant. I ordered the Tallarín VErde. The pesto noodles with steak. It was absolutely delicious! I made a pick-up order . The service with the cashier was very warm and inviting. When I took my food home, everything was correct and I couldn't wait to try. we live around the neighborhood so this will definitely be a go-to restaurant. read more

Came here during lunch time and it was packed. One table left so we lucked out. Judging from the crowd, it must be good. I ended up ordering the stewed beef w rice n beans. I never been here before but I wanted to try everything on the menu. Anyways, when my dish came out, the presentation was very appetizing. Now for the stewed beef.. The beef was tender, fall apart and flavorful. It was soo good with no fatty pieces. The pickled onions were tangy and went well with the beef and rice..the service was lil slow but the place was full so I understand. Great find ! This Peruvian delivers quality food. The waiter are all very kind and knowledgeable about the food. They accommodated my gluten allergy. I could not have the fried yuca but offer steamed yuca and it was delicious. If you have a gluten allergy you will not have to worry here. Lots of options! Great dinner! read more

Very disappointed with the food not sure if because they are not selling much these days but the seafood salmon/shrimp were not fresh. The salmon was hard and extremely fishy smelling and the shrimp as well. 60.00 for 2 people I would say it was a waste of my money! read more

I was in the area and needed to find the quickest meal to dine at home. I stumbled across this place and placed a order to go. When i arrived home, I wasn't very pleased with the taste and quality of the food. If you have had real Peruvian food before this food doesn't reach or meet the expectations of quality and richness in flavor. I had place my order to go and when I arrived home the chicken was very dry and tasted very old. The chicken was dry and disgusting and I was very disappointed due to the fact I had to pay a lot of money for this food. Lomo saltado was okay but has way too much salt in the meat. They don't offer bread to you and workers are very rude. Plates are expensive and taste was very disappointing. I won't be coming again. read more

The staff was great and they have been in business 20 years while others have come and gone. We were in the area looking for a place for lunch and since my husband is originally from South America, this spot attracted him. Have been meaning to try this place for years and finally did for lunch. Small, quaint place, not too busy on a Tuesday. I can imagine a long wait if you're a party of 4+ on a busy night as there are maybe 20 tables total. We tried the ceviche mixto and fried yuca for appetizer, both excellent. For entrees we tried the chancho palo lunch special, very flavorful and the arroz con mariscos, delicious and generous portions. If you're going to have wine, the glass is somewhat pricey ($14), but bottles range from $35-50, well worth it. There are some beers on tap, no mixed drinks. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was exceptional in both flavor and value. Will absolutely be coming back! read more

We did call to confirm the hours today and we ended up with horrible customer service. If I could give a zero I would. We called earlier in the day today to ask how late the kitchen was open, they said to come in before 9:30 pm. We did and upon arrival they informed us that the kitchen was closed. Obviously we wouldn't have traveled that far if the kitchen wasn't open. Why would they not educate their staff answering the phone to give the correct information? The manager was very rude. He was not even apologetic for someone giving us the wrong information and ruining Father's Day dinner. Instead he was laughing and kept saying "really? REALLY?!" My cute friend went to Peru. Today. I didn't want FOMO so I showed up at Lola's. The waiter, Jared, is charming. His assistant, Juan aka JJ could not be more warm and accommodating. I had the sole called pescado susado and it is so full of flavor. My bear had the beef called lomo saltado with French fries and tomatoes. I had to try it and it did not disappoint. The best reason to show up is the Plantains. I recommend you start with the plantains. They are so good this piggy ate all of them! I recommend Lola's. Please come and get me. Staff was pleasant, but honestly the food portions and the flavor and quality were poor to say the least! For the price I felt like I got robbed. I got the roast pork, beans, sweet plantains and white rice. Coming from NY Peruvian food is not new to me. The pork was dry and lacking flavor. Sad to say but I won't be coming back. read more

I went using a Groupon , nice settings and environment , staff were friendly. First time trying Peruvian cuisine don't know what to expect . The sauce that came with the complimentary bread was good but a bit spicy. Fried calamari was the best - super crunchy. I ordered Pollo Al Vino for entree - is perfect with rice - and they put fried cassava made it quite interesting. It's a bit salty if you just have the dish by itself. I live down the street from Lola's Peruvian Restaurant and finally came around to trying this place. I was so impressed! So sad It took me so long to find this great spot. Will definitely be going back. Excellent service, reasonable prices and the food was fantastic. Chicken entree was so tender and the beans with so much flavor. Found this place on Yelp as soon as we hit Glendale. Awesome food, even better staff: very friendly and welcoming.
