I've been coming to Lola's since I was a little girl. To be fair if I had to rate just the rotisserie chicken 5/5. The mayonnaise the aji the fries are delicious. The chicken is always cooked to perfection! I always recommend dining in as you'll get the freshest pieces of chicken. All of their other food is just OK. As a Peruvian I would not recommend anything other than their chicken which is what they specialize in anyways. Also recently went on a Saturday night. I hate being one of those late customers and Google as well as their door sign said it was closed at 10. We arrived at 8 which seemed like perfect timing! We got our food around 8:20. By 8:50 they were cleaning up but we assumed because they were slow. By 9:05 they told us that the restaurant was closed and pretty much we needed to leave. Being in the restaurant service it felt very rude considering we were still very much eating. We asked about the time being posted as 10pm and the girl said "they forgot to change it". read more

Im pretty disappointed I have been a loyal loyal customer for more than 10 years . Sadly the service here is horrible and not only that I placed my order over the phone 45 minutes ago . I have now been to Peru and had pollo ala brasa there several times. And I still say, the chicken at Lola's is DELICIOUS. They have updated their menu and decor a bit since I was last there. Prices may have gone up a bit, too as the same meal that I ordered before - whole chicken with 2 sides and ceviche mixto, is now about $38. The ceviche gets special mention here because it was just absolutely AWESOME. Fish, calamari, shrimp and mussels in a very tart lime sauce with red onion, potatoes and corn. Greatest Chicken in the San Fernando Valley. The taste is incredible portion size is generous. You will leave very satisfied out of this establishment. Now to the reason as to why they didn't receive 5 Stars. Parking. I believe that a location with ample parking would be great also a location with expanded dining area. As it is, it gets crowded during peak times of service. Calling in for take out can be a bit and miss as well, I recently ordered to go and when I got there they hadn't began my order and thus waited another 35mins, all while people who walked up to the registered and ordered in person left quicker than I, who had called almost an hour before at this point.
