I visited for the first time recently. First, the reasons I deducted a star: --If I hadn't been with someone who'd been there already, it would have been an embarrassingly long time before I found a food menu, as they were in a bin near the patio door, not near the entrance or the counter where you order --One employee just had an off-putting demeanor, like any question was a bother. Perhaps she just has "resting b*tch face" but it was a definite vibe --I asked said employee for more of the sauce that was on my wrap, and instead she brought me something she said I'd like better. Nice in concept, but not what I asked for - and for the record, not as good as what was already on my meal. Now the positives: --LOVE the comfortable decor and vibe --LOVE the healthy menu, and the variety of gluten-free options --As I said, I've only been there once, but my food was delicious, and I am looking forward to returning. I would definitely give 5 stars if the issues above were addressed, especially the flow of menu placement and such. Even my friend, who has been there before, said she always feels a little funny when she comes in, like it's a club of some sort and she doesn't know the cool-kid password. read more

The food here is amazing! The menus is kind of small but everything we ordered was off the charts delicious. read more

Lola's Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

I came here 3 times before deciding to write this review. I have not had a good experience here out of any of the visits. Here's what happened. Each time I went I wanted a Stumptown Nitro cold brew and some baked good. Each of the times I ordered it. I came in once on a Sunday - decided that was not a good idea. The line was crazy and I guess just like the worst people in Ladera come there. Everyone was acting like selfish idiots. Ok so I can actually summarize all three visits with one explanation because it was the same each time. I get to the front, I start my order. The lady at the register (I think she owns/co owns it?) literally walks away from me while I'm talking and goes to talk with the kitchen through the window (this happened to some extent each time amazingly). Ironically, I didn't order anything from the kitchen. I order the stumptown and a baked good. So she comes back flustered and takes my order. Wasn't super nice, ok whatever. I go down to the end of the "barista" area and wait. Each time getting a cold brew from a tap took 10-15 minutes. The workers without a care in the world each time. One of the times they asked "are you waiting on something?" Uhhhh. Yes. My order which is literally just you pulling a handle to fill a to go cup. Total joke. The baked goods have not been good. I've ordered the donuts (SUPER dry, plain), a "pot pie" like pastry that was also insanely dry and so crumby and then a muffin. The muffin was the best of the three but it really was just the best terrible thing, which isn't saying much. I was pretty disappointed with my visits here. To me, yet another Ladera Ranch eatery that blew it. read more

I still haven't tried the food but the manager reached out for wasting my time in that line so that's a start. And I appreciated it. Update Foods amaZing. I'm glad Matt reached our and I came back. The food is stellar I highly recommend trying. read more

Lola's Cafe - Lola's Cafe: Spirilled zucchini salad with rosemary chicken - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

Great feel, outdoor seating and very good food. Owner cares about his business as he entertains patrons.

Lola's is a new cafe in Ladera, and actually has healthy, organic options. Their avocado toast is the best I've ever had. The owner even came over today to ask our input on the avocado toast, which just goes to show how much thought they are putting into this. Other food options are great as well, and my friends say that the breakfast burrito is delicious without making you feel stuffed after. Lola's is such a nice change from all of the restaurant chains in the area. The community of Ladera really needs to spread the word about this place, so that it can stay in business. We need more healthy options with real food, like this one. I love the vibe, and I highly suggest this place to anyone. It's worth the drive from RSM or San Juan for sure! read more

New to this area and saw Lola's had great reviews. The food was so fresh and delicious. I'm so glad that this place is basically walking distance from my house so I can keep coming back and explore the entire menu! read more

Lola's is a hidden gem in Ladera Ranch! I came here for breakfast and had such a wonderful experience. Two words: avocado toast. The flavors in it were delicious!! I also tried the mixed berry flatbread which was good, but I thought the avocado toast was better. My step dad got the breakfast burrito and said it was satisfying, not overly filling like most breakfast burritos. For drinks, I got a latte which was so good. My mom got the lavender latte and loved every sip of it. I will be a regular at Lola's from now on. Update: lunchtime gets a bit busy so prepared to wait for a table and to wait about 20-30 minutes to get your food. It's worth it though!! read more

Hmm, Where do I begin....lets start out by saying this place is Amazing! I'm a Lola's Cafe Addict, ha. The food is delicious! I would recommend the Avocado Toast and the Turkey bacon Club (Gluten Free Bread Available). Those are my two Go-To Menu Items. Cold Brew on Tap! Yumm :) The atmosphere is great! Sometimes it is difficult to find a table since its always so busy. They also have outside seating. The Menu's are in a metal container on either side of the cafe as you enter. Food service is sometimes the kitchen gets backed up with orders so it may seem like it's taking a long time but it's worth it. ( not complaining about the service, just telling people). All the food items come on a wooden cutting board that enhances the presentation...The sandwiches come with a side of Pickles....I am not a fan of the pickles but i guess people like them. :) They have Yummy baked goods! Gluten Free Items as well. They also have dairy-free cheese which is awesome. Great Place! Owner is awesome! Always walks around and talks to the customers. If your in Ladera, Check out Lola's Cafe, You won't be disappointed! read more

Lola's Cafe is a must! Great family owned gem in the hills of Ladera Ranch. Food is fresh, hand made and local. They offer a variety of pastries with vegan and gluten-free options. They have a full coffee bar with yummy homemade syrups. There's indoor and outdoor patio seating for your dinning pleasure. If you're in the area do not pass this place up if you're looking for a quaint brunch/lunch spot. Matthew and his wife Ava would love to see you. read more

I enjoyed my egg and avocado breakfast sandwich. The bread had a nice texture ( well half of it) and flavor. The ingredients worked well together. A few things I would suggest for improving would be to have the egg more easy to medium than it came out ( medium hard). Also one side of the bread was soggy by the time it reached me. I liked the interior of the cafe. Very fresh and comfortable. I'd give this place another try for the lunch menu and for the avocado toast which looks yummy. read more

Beautiful quaint café hidden in Ladera Ranch. The owners are wonderful. They take pride in what they do and it shows. Great selection of healthy foods, amazing avocado toasts, their chicken almond sandwich is to die for. Did I say how tasty their breakfast sandwich is. You can't go wrong, there is something for everyone and the kiddos will like it too. read more

We live in Ladera Ranch and constantly say " I wish there was someplace to go have a good breakfast"... well we found this little gem and it does not disappoint. The atmosphere is very inviting and the menu has something for everyone. They have indoor and some outdoor seating. My daughter and I both had the "avocado toast on multigrain bread" and I had the Lavender Latte. It was all SUPER YUMMY! We intend to come back again and try some of the lunch items. So glad to have this great place right here in my own neighborhood! read more

Real food in Ladera! Finally! We have been searching for this type of place for two years.. So happy to finally find a place that offers real food, prepared in a real way with conciseness. Hip hip hooray for Lola's! Thank you sooooo much for being here!! read more

I have been here a few times. I love the food and desserts. The service is great too. I haven't come back because it's very pricey. The large coffee is not very large but the price is. This was before inflation went up. I went before covid and during. The prices are just too high. Not sure what the prices are now. I was talking to someone while visiting a different coffee place and he agreed. He likes Lola's but it's just too expensive. So if you can afford it, you'll love the place. read more

Went here today with some girlfriends for coffee and to check it out, so cozy and welcoming with a laid back vibe, the menu looks awesome and the coffee and pastries are great if you're in a rush Matt the proprietor introduced himself and was very welcoming, he even accommodated my request for just bacon and eggs and I got a Stumpton nitro on tap to wash it down, my son had an amazing looking huckleberry donut Tip: the parking in the front is a little crazy so just park in the back (by the animal hospital) and come in through the side Matt explained he and his wife are local Ladera residents, really hoping this place takes off because it was a great read more

This is my first time here and I'm so glad I decided to try it. It's definitely the place to meet socially in Ladera in the morning. It has a great selection of creative coffee drinks and breakfast and lunch food items including vegan and Gluten free choices. It also showcases local artists and entrepreneurs products. This is a true town gathering marketplace. The homage to rock and roll makes it unique too! read more

Excellent food. Love the onion soup, crepes and just about everything else. Great cozy place. Wonderful service!

Cute place, great coffee, good music (if you are into Kings of Leon), and decently portioned food. My only qualm is the Cappy Henry's sandwich I had was bland, but I walked away full. Overall a good experience and I'd come back. read more

Awesome high quality, fresh ingredients, the breakfast burrito with sweet potato is delicious & the cookies are worth the $3.95. The wrap used on the vegan wrap on the other hand had had the consistency of a tomato basil fruit leather, dry and chewy. It may have some fans but I'm definitely not one. I suggest substituting the wrap with anything else. read more

Lola's Cafe - The egg and avocado smash with coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

I was excited when I first spotted Lola's, cute place. But the food turned out to be pretty bad. First I tried their egg and avocado sandwich and today I tried their spinach burrito. They're both greasy, no flavor, bacon was hard. I gave it two tries. The cost is way too much for the crummy food. The Trough in RSM is amazing! Great breakfast choices. read more

I'm picky about my cappuccino and this place makes the best in town. Cute place. Healthy menu.

Finally! Ladera needed this! Healthy, fresh, delicious food... Great atmosphere... Feels like a spot you'd find in Newport or Irvine. I had a deconstructed breakfast burrito and it was one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in a while! Only complaint is that they are very slow.... Took 20 mins to get our dish so I had to eat quickly to rush off to work. But if you have no time constraints then I highly recommend Lola's!!! read more

Cute neighborhood restaurant in Ladera - the food is good. 3 stars for overall customer service. We went on a Wed morning and it was busy with nonstop customers walking in the door. The time we went before that, we walked in the door close to (but still before) 11am, but since we had to wait in line for a few minutes, by the time we got to the register to order, they told us they're no longer serving breakfast since it was after 11am. On our most recent visit, I was asked if I was sure I wanted to make modifications to my food because "its really good the way it comes". We were told our food would take 15-20 mins because I asked for egg whites rather than regular eggs, but waited way too long to get our meals, ~25 mins. Our coffee got cold while we waited, but the food is really tasty. I recommend the burrito - my husband wasn't crazy about the sweet potato in it, but I thought it was the best part! read more

Food here is amazing, always tastes fresh! Their tuna melt and cashew chicken sandwich are my favorite and their iced honey vanilla latte with oat milk is better than anything at Starbucks! The line can be long depending on when you come, but it's 100% worth the wait! read more
