Chicken Caesar Wrap
Julie B.

Cute place right near the water in Dana Point. Conviently near baby beach so pretty family friendly establishment. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoy their coffee, pastries and just recently tried their chicken Cesar wrap - pretty good! I wish it came with more sauce but everyone is so friendly there that I bet they would have given me some if I asked. Next time!! Definitely a solid option

In case you didn't know, Coffee Importers recently moved to a more spacious site adjacent to the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. Their menu has expanded and is even more healthy choices are offered. I found the food to be highly flavorful and nutritious. The location was very pleasant and the service was excellent. I have already recommended this place to several of my friends.

My boyfriend took me here for breakfast on a Saturday.... perfect weather in July. It was warm, cool wind, great views when you seat outside. They have an umbrella at each table. It's a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was great too. The people taking our orders were very friendly as well. Taking a stroll, watching the waves after breakfast was super romantic.

Love love eating at your establishment! Service is always friendly and welcoming. Love sitting and watching people and their fur babies!!! Glad to hear you will be relocating in the harbor!!! On a side note - I was married to the love of my life and his name was Jim Miller

My wife and I decided to try Coffee Importers in their new location. The good news: the outdoor seating (which is nicer than before) with the view of Dana Point Harbor is a top selling point. It's a really nice place to have a coffee and to enjoy the vibe and ambiance of the harbor. The coffee was good --- a solid cup of coffee. The service as before is good. The real draw though is the location. That's reason enough to return. (I didn't try the food on this visit but I will on a future visit.)

Nice location close to harbor so you can sit on back area with tables overlooking the water. Large variety of food wine and coffee and pastry choices. The cappuccino is so strong 2 shots of espresso so wasn't expecting that large $7.10. Alot of activity on weekend not sure if open on week days.

Love the vibe of the new location of Coffee Importers! They were a favorite before but I love the new patio, the new decor, the new view and the fact that the coffee and bagels are all in one location now. This place truly has the best bagels in town - my favorite is Pat's on Rye with fresh avocado, tomato and a dash of lemon pepper. Absolutely delish! The staff are super friendly and did a great job of updating us on all that is available at the new location just outside of the Ocean Institute. Great update to an already great cafe!

Came to have breakfast with family on a Saturday and the line and wait was not bad at all. After ordering, we found seats outdoor right away. Can't beat the view of the harbor. To top it off, weather was beautiful! Drinks and food came out at a decent time. Staff were nice and helpful. I had the everything bagel with scrambled eggs, spinach and feta. No complaints here, everything tasted wonderful and fresh. Hubbs had the breakfast burrito with sausage and a regular hot coffee, he as well enjoyed his meal.

Conveniently located right next to Baby Beach, Coffee Importers is a great spot to grab a drink or bite before or after some time by the water. I tried the decaf black mango tea (unsweetened) and it was surprisingly really good..refreshing, smooth, and full of flavor. The coffee itself was decent, not necessarily standout, but solid enough if you're looking for your morning fix. Service was friendly and efficient, which made the visit easy and enjoyable. One thing to note: there are two separate counters; one for coffee/tea and one for food/pastries;so make sure you're standing in the right line! Speaking of food, they have a wide selection of pastries and meal options, making it a versatile spot whether you just want a drink or a full breakfast. Overall, a reliable harbor-side stop with plenty of choices, great service, and an unbeatable location.

We went to the opening day of Coffee Importers at the new location near the Ocean Institute. 9 am made it tough to find parking because of drop off for the camp but 15 minutes later parking did open up. I was happy to see there are lines for both the food and for the coffee. Lots of people sitting outside and inside. Jim was there to greet everyone. It was nice to see Katrina Foley our district supervisor, also supporting Jim, the owner. Jim's daughter is running the bakery. And her baked items looked amazing. The coffee drinks and menu are the same..... superb.

Coffee Importers in Dana Point Marina is one of those rare gems where the atmosphere is just as memorable as the food and drinks. Nestled right on the harbor, it offers sweeping views of the boats and sparkling water, making it a perfect place to start the morning or enjoy a laid-back afternoon. The experience of sipping coffee while watching the ocean breeze ripple through the masts is hard to beat. The menu is simple but consistently excellent. Their sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and portioned generously--ideal whether you're coming off a walk along the marina or settling in for a quiet lunch. The lattes are especially worth mentioning: smooth, well-balanced, and crafted just right without being overly fussy. You can tell care goes into both the coffee and the service, which feels warm and coastal without any pretense. It's the kind of place where both locals and visitors feel at home, whether you grab a quick bite before heading out on a boat trip or linger over a sandwich while soaking in the harbor views. Coffee Importers combines atmosphere, quality food and drink, and Dana Point charm into a spot that makes you want to keep coming back.

No organic coffees for lattes. Unfortunately I get massive headaches from non-organic coffees too often to risk it. Otherwise it's good.

Ask the Community - Coffee Importers

Do they accept apple pay?

Yes

Hey! does anyone know if the there are vegan spreads besides nut butters and jam? do they offer vegan cream cheese?

I'm not sure if they offer vegan cream cheese as I have never seen it on their menu. But they do offered Bagel w/ Veggie Cream Cheese (not vegan) or Hummus. They're not vegan type but more of vegetarian. I hope that help!

Parking was easy for me I found street parking right by the beach, but they also have parking in the shopping plaza. I just happened to park outside. Before ordering, I asked to sample the egg salad and chicken salad, and honestly, I'm glad I did. Neither tasted fresh and both were lacking flavor, so that helped me decide to skip those. I ended up ordering the turkey sandwich with bacon, avocado, and all the fixings (I believe it's called the Rosa Special) on squaw bread. I have to say this sandwich was absolutely delicious. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the turkey was solid, and everything just worked together really well. What really stood out was their house sauce. I'm not sure what's in it, but it was so goooood! I even overheard other customers asking for it on the side. Definitely making a mental note to do that next time and find out exactly what it is. My only downside is the price. It was a bit high (around $18+), and I'm not sure it fully justifies that cost, but the quality is there. Overall, quick service, a really solid sandwich, and a spot I'd recommend if you're in the area.
