Found a new great coffee spot. Was down running errands and stopped by. There is quite a few spots in here so it does significantly stand out. But I'll just say it's a must come to. Staff very friendly, service is quick. And the interior is very well done, comfortable, cozy. Decent amount of seating inside and even more right outside covered seating. Great ambiance! Got the iced vanilla latte and brown sugar maple latte. Both were very good. The overall flavor was perfect. Coffee flavor itself was smooth, the vanilla syrup was well made, doesn't have any weird after taste or too strong. Just a nice good flavor! Second drink was the brown sugar maple with a vanilla cold foam. Again same everything for this drink. Delicious and smooth. Definitely recommend to come give hidden house a try. Good coffee and great staff. Place has a nice vibe, relaxing and perfect to connect with friends or get some work done. Would be a 5 star, but they're still living in the shadow of Hermosa Cafe, the previous coffee shop that was there for years and served some pretty good eats. DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Drove 30 minutes out of my way to come here because Google and Yelp both say Hidden House Coffee closes at 5 PM. I show up well before that, and there's a sign on the door saying they actually close at 3 PM. Seriously? If you're going to change your hours, the absolute bare minimum is updating them online. It's incredibly frustrating to waste time and gas driving all the way somewhere just to find out the information listed everywhere is completely wrong. I wasn't the only one either. other people were walking up confused as well. This could easily be avoided if the business kept their hours accurate. Really disappointing first impression. Do better and update your hours so people don't waste their time coming here for nothing. read more

Love the Hidden House in SJC but so happy there's one near home here in SC. This location still serves up amazing coffee and teas and has ample seating inside for a remote work day or outdoor tables to enjoy the weather outside. Parking lot is huge so there is never an issue to find a spot. Service is always friendly and accomodating with dietary needs. I love getting an oat milk matcha latte with cold foam but their classic vanilla latte is delicious too. read more

We have been a fan of Hidden House Coffee in San Juan Capistrano since they opened. We moved to Phoenix a year ago, but come to the San Juan Hidden house whenever we're visiting Orange County. When we came down the other day, we learned there was a recent opening in San Clemente. So, after we finish our wonderful coffee and almond croissant, we headed down to the new Hidden House to check it out. We were here on Saturday morning around 8:45 AM. We found it was pretty easy and with plenty of parking in this small retail center. Everyone was very friendly and we experienced great customer service. The coffee was just as delicious as it is at the original spot. They have an in-house Baker here as well and all of the pastries look wonderful! I came here during the San Clemente coffee crawl. I ordered the almond croissant, cinnamon roll, bagel bomb, and an iced latte. Everything was excellent. The pastries were delicious. Hidden house is a new little gem here in SC, their coffee is fantastic and they have plenty of pastries and seating options to add to your experience. I got a cold brew with maple brown sugar syrup and vanilla cold foam. It was sooo delicious! They also have cold brew happy hour which gets you $2 off! I think she said between 2-5pm. Came in with high hopes , found this place on tik tok and decided to come in. My parents a cortado which they both enjoyed but mentioned it was strong. I got a matcha , i wasn't a big fan off. It was very milky and didn't taste like matcha. Although we did get two bagel bombs which were amazing we enjoyed those. Oversell a okay experience, staff was okay, the place is very cozy i will say. We did spend 30$ for all these items, I wouldn't pay that much again for this place. read more

My husband and I came into hidden house after the Great I5 south shutdown of 11/2025. Rather than waste two hours in our car, we figured we'd waste some hours in a coffeeshop. Well, "some" became over four as we were stranded in San Clemente. But Holly and Maddie made our impromptu stay so welcome (shout out to them!!!) and gave us the best drinks and pastries. My coffee was perfect (maple brown sugar latte) and my husband enjoyed his matcha. The vegan chocolate chip cookie was to die for. In a world of Starbucks and grab and go's, I'm so glad there are hidden houses. read more

Standards have dropped... when i first came here, the iced vanilla latte was super good! But the last couple times Ive come in, it tastes more like watery milk. Emphasis on the watery. Good job Hidden House San Clemente! :) only downside is that the music is very very loud... but all hidden house locations are known for having loud music Huge bummer for people with severe sensory processing difficulties like me (post concussion problems), and neurodivergent people (adhd or autistic folks). always had a really good experience at the San Juan location, so was really hoping to have a good experience at this location since it's closer to home off the bat just felt very rushed to ordered, and the woman seemed very irritated taking my order. I then nicely asked if they had a pup cup in which I was shut down really fast with an attitude. I will say the young barista with long blonde hair making the drinks so kind and found a way to give my dog a treat that right there is good customer service. read more
