    Iced Lavender Matcha Latte
    Heather D.

Great, local spot with shops nearby to walk around and enjoy your coffee. This weekend I went with a Lavender iced Matcha Latte. Very fresh and tasty! The menu is relatively small but plenty of syrup choices. There is some seating inside if you wanted to work or read.

Latte Fuel For The Mind, Inspiration For The Soul. LFG! Bear Coast Coffee is a trendy and cozy little coffee shop located in a plaza at Dana Point. They specialize in roasted coffee and tea as well as pastries. Interior decor was cute with huge bear on their east wall. Indoor and outdoor seats were comfortable with relaxing atmosphere. I came after exploring Dana Point. I was warmly greeted by Dylan, barista. After I skimmed their coffee menu, I asked for a Hot Latte x WM. I liked it. Overall, BCC is a cool coffee house with chill atmosphere and staff. I recommend you visit.

My go-to spot on Friday mornings, yes, yes! Once a week I treat myself to a chance of scenery and a little walk about before I settle into my home office for the day. I love Bear Coast ("The Bear") because they open at 6am! Yes! The early bird in me can get up naturally between 5 and 5:30, get myself out the door, and get here in time to be one of the first customers of the day. Arrive early and you can still purchase a piping hot blueberry muffin! My husband also loves their avocado toast; served until noon, so snag it before then. I don't actually drink coffee, but they have an affordably priced tea at $3.75. They use Kilogram tea, which is also sooooo good. Better than anything that Starbucks or any of the major chains use. The only downside is that during the day sometimes, it CAN get a little busy inside of people perched up with their laptops. There have been a few instances where I want to sit down, but there are people inside and out who don't appear to be moving any time soon. Normally I just grab my tea and stroll the harbor, but sometimes the legs need a rest. 2024: 99/100

Cute coffee spot! Service was quick. Ordered a regular latte with oat and it was good. They have outdoor seating and also dog friendly.

Don't be fooled by the TikTok aesthetic!!

Would not recommend getting a matcha nor coffee. Very watered down and over priced! I was very excited to try this place but the baristas were just rude and made the environment very uncomfortable. I would never take the time to make a review but the drinks and service were such a disappointment I couldn't help but make one. #notyounghoapprove

So I got a chance to try this place and I got a fresh cup of the grizzly from Brazil more of a medium to dark roast coffee. They do not roast on site, but do roast in a warehouse in San Clemente. Cool little place. Located right across the street from Maison on Amber Lantern.

Located not to far from the beach, this chic and modern cafe brings so much joy to not only the regular customers but also new comers with bright smiles and energy from the baristas, unique specialty drinks, adorable merchandises and attractive baked goods and fruit oatmeal. I personally had to rent the cafe for work recently and the owner was very kind and flexible with the accommodation that I was forever thankful. The staff were also incredible on multitasking taking care of the customers and my team at the same time, which was pretty impressive. During down time, I ordered Vanilla Nutmeg Latte that was recommended by one of the baristas and it was such a divine. They were out of ham and cheese croissant so I got the almond pastry instead and it was a perfect harmony with my latte. There are seating inside and outside of the cafe so if you want to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze at cool cafe with amazing drinks and baked goods, check this place out.

3.5 stars for coffee! Really liked that the Mocha was not too sweet at all. Unfortunately it was a bit grainy when drinking so it would get caught in my throat. This location is super cute and love the outside area. Small inside area and ok service, would come back if in the area!

I like this place! It's small but cute. I had the matcha latte and the pistachio croissant. The pistachio croissant was super tasty but I wish it was warmed up but that's okay! The matcha latte was good. Not too sweet but also not too bitter. I got it with almond milk. I also liked how it actually tasted like matcha (some places overdo it with the milk) The service was quick and the baristas were kind. I'd come back!

All the baristas make solid coffee, and the environment they create is so welcoming and friendly that l'm willing to drive 30 minutes every weekend to see them! Shout out Morgan, Milaina, Adam, Naomi, and Jamie!

Great coffee! Love their iced coffee with oat milk. Quality coffee and great service!

    2 cortados (Spain's style coffee)
    C ..

It was the only CAFETERIA that had the "cortado" Spain's coffee style that I drink. It's 50/50 espresso/milk. The size and flavor is just exactly like the ones served in Spain. And the price is also right, $4 a cup. Service is good, I do recommend it if you only drink espressos with milk.

    Vanilla nutmeg iced latte
    Nani V.

Came here during my lunch break and I'm glad I did! The coffee was great, and the staff is friendly. I got the vanilla nutmeg coffee and it was delicious! The coffee isn't as rich as I thought but it was still good. The coffee shop is small but it feels pretty open because it has a high ceiling. There's limited seating on the side but there's also a few tables outside in case you have to get some work done. Overall I recommended trying this place out and I'll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

It's ok i can be embarrassing. He wont read this lol Okay but this is what I mean when I say "local coffee shop energy." J.C. Beans is adorable. Not in a corporate "we ordered our personality from a catalog" way. In a real, slightly chaotic, neighbor-knows-your-name way. Small parking lot? Yes. But that just means you've found something worth gatekeeping. Also there are outdoor seating by the street AND the parking lot, in case you want to hide yourself from the rest of the world. (I'm team parking lot, hiding.) The staff? So nice. So friendly. Like genuinely warm humans. They even offered my dog treats without me awkwardly hovering and hinting. Immediate loyalty secured. And the WiFi? Slapped. Hord. Like, I could actually open PDFs, upload things, and pretend I was writing something groundbreaking instead of rearranging paragraphs for 40 minutes. Patio productivity with dog present = elite setup. Coffee was solid, vibes were solid, humans were solid. This is the kind of place you accidentally turn into your personality. Would return. With dog. With laptop.

I'll be back to Coffee Importers soon--it's a great place in DP for a morning coffee and pastry and hopefully the "regulars" don't ruin it for everyone else. Original review: I want to love this place and it bums me out to have to write this, but this is one of the least welcoming places in DP. Not because the staff is rude. But because they allow this clique of regulars to take over the outside patio and harass people who aren't in their group. I've watched it happen a few times now, but today was the worst. A woman with a little kid sat down at an unoccupied table and started having their food. A couple of minutes later an older gentleman walked up and began verbally accosting her, getting in her space and demanding that she leave because he's been coming here for 35 years and this is his table. He kept accosting her until she was crying and took her child and moved tables. A few people tried to comfort this poor woman and her little kid. This guy was 1000% in the wrong. But staff didn't do anything. Instead, they walked up to the guy, said hi to him (of course, in a first name basis) and were friendly as anything. But not a word to the woman crying and trying to distract her toddler. Gross. It's not just this one guy either. There are at least a dozen of these "regulars" and Coffee Importers doesn't appear to do anything to stop them from harassing people, and actually seems to be fostering this environment.

There is plenty of parking both in a lot, an extended lot and also the street. You can also take one of the many foot paths to the location as well. There are two ways to order. One sign says pastries and coffee and the other side towards the back or the Marina side says food and beverages. If you only want a coffee with a croissant or cinnamon roll or the delicious biscuits, then step into the pastries and coffee line. If you want breakfast sandwiches or any of the toasts plus coffee and other beverages, then go to the other line. It can get very busy, especially on the weekends after 9 AM. But bring your patience and be nice to everyone. Once you have ordered, step aside. Most likely your drinks will be called out first. It does take time to make freshly prepared food so either take a seat with your number and wait for it to be delivered or listen if it's going to be a to go order for your name It is dog friendly out on the patio. Please make sure to clean up after yourselves as the wind can blow any debris into the marina and we want to make sure everything is clean and safe for our underwater friends. Very cool nautical vibes. They decorate for the holidays. Reasonably priced. Support local. If you're gonna spend 6 to 7 dollars on a pastry or coffee, you should come here. Incredible vibes you could park at the other end of the marina and walk on over for a great scenic walk. My favorite is the iced harbor latte which is like a caramel vanilla latte similar to what I would describe as the golden eagle from Dutch Bros. The biscuits are incredible. I always get them. Stupid me drank the drink and ate the biscuits before I took a picture. Just trust me.
