    Nutella banana croissant
    Iryna N.

Such a cute coffee shop. I had a cappuccino and I really liked that it was not too sweet. I also got a croissant with Nutella and it was very fresh with plenty of filling. Service was very pleasant and fast. I really loved this place and honestly wish I had a coffee shop like this closer to my home.

We got the asparagus mushroom quiche as well as the spinach feta - both were outstanding - creamy egg with flaky crust. The salad and French bread were also nice. The pastries were also excellent - flaky pastry. Nice little outdoor seating area!

This place offers a variety of breakfast selection in a modest setting. Their croissant is really good, as well as the crumble cake. They also offer loaves of bread, from olive to sourdough. I highly recommend this place for a quick breakfast or brunch.

The pastries were delicious, but the service was frustratingly slow. There were only two groups of customers in the bakery, and I ordered just two pastries to go. Somehow, I still had to wait 15 minutes. With such a small crowd, I expected much faster service. Great food, but the long wait took away from the overall experience.

    Cappuccino was perfect

Stopped by this super cute French bakery, and we were helped by a lovely lady with amazing customer service. We ordered two cappuccino's an almond croissant and a mini mocha hazelnut cheesecake, they both were outstanding so fresh tasting and delicious! They have lots of baked goods to choose from, including coffee drinks and a variety of other beverages. You have the option to sit inside or on the front patio, such a cool vibe! We definitely will be back !!

    Chocolate chip cookie

If this review was just for the baguette, I would rate this a solid 4. The baguette has a great chew to it. For some, it might be too much of a chew, but it was purchased late in the day. It has a great tasting crust. It would be a solid 5 if it was $3-$4. But at $6, it's pretty steep for a baguette. Even for Dana Point. Second review is for their chocolate chip cookies. I would rate them a solid 1. They don't have a strong chocolate chip taste to them, even though they look to have a lot of chocolate chips in them. They remind of me store bought cookies. I know everyone has a preference - these are definitely not mine. And for the price and size, they are a little disappointing. Great bread. Not-so-great chocolate chip cookies.

Ham and Bacon Quiche - amazing
    Brian M.

I was craving something for breakfast that was savory and filling so I grabbed a piece of their Ham and Bacon Quiche to take home with me. Was it good? Oh, yes it was! Was it filling? Absolutely! This may be the best quiche that I have ever eaten. They gave me instructions on how to heat it up, and it came out perfect. The crust was flakey and the filling was 5/5 delicious. They certainly have a number of great looking items to try but I want another slice of the quiche.

San Juan Capistrano farmers market selections

They have an impressive selection of pastries with a variety of flavors. They have also sourdough bread, french, and other loaves. We tried the raisin croissant, pistachio croissant, baguette, and quiche, which were all good. Even when they weren't crispy by the time we purchased them, which were at the San Juan Capistrano farmers market where we found them on a Friday.

Went for a morning snack and found a gem! We ordered the kouign amann, raspberry fruit parfait and a coffee. Pastry was fresh, tasty, baked to perfection and high quality. Coffee was delicious. Fruit parfait was the best my wife has ever had. Service was slow as they appeared understaffed. But it was well worth it. Definitely repeat.

    This person is terrible

UPDATE: since the owner is looking at their yelp you need to know that I relied on yelp to find your place I drove out of the way to actually try your place based off yelp reviews - what I did not appreciate is that your main highlight on yelp was your croissants which im sure if warmed up would change my mind but since your employee could care less about your customers experience and to experience your croissant then it was a terrible decision to come to this place the LEAST she can do is warm it up but because I bugged her on her break it seems like I'm the bad guy for coming in and giving you my money. **l wish I never wasted my money and time coming to this stpid coffee shop it's a waste of my time. This lady is absolutely miserable it's like I walked in to her break and she's pissed off at me for being a customer would never ever come back here!!!! Croissants are hard and cold she was pissed that I asked to warm it up

    Gluten free options?

Had an amazing gluten free chocolate loaf, not too sweet, which is how I like my treats. Also had a delicious gluten free crème brûlée.

It's ok i can be embarrassing. He wont read this lol Okay but this is what I mean when I say "local coffee shop energy." J.C. Beans is adorable. Not in a corporate "we ordered our personality from a catalog" way. In a real, slightly chaotic, neighbor-knows-your-name way. Small parking lot? Yes. But that just means you've found something worth gatekeeping. Also there are outdoor seating by the street AND the parking lot, in case you want to hide yourself from the rest of the world. (I'm team parking lot, hiding.) The staff? So nice. So friendly. Like genuinely warm humans. They even offered my dog treats without me awkwardly hovering and hinting. Immediate loyalty secured. And the WiFi? Slapped. Hord. Like, I could actually open PDFs, upload things, and pretend I was writing something groundbreaking instead of rearranging paragraphs for 40 minutes. Patio productivity with dog present = elite setup. Coffee was solid, vibes were solid, humans were solid. This is the kind of place you accidentally turn into your personality. Would return. With dog. With laptop.

One thing I really appreciated was that they opened at 5:30 a.m., since many coffee shops in the area don't open until 8-10 a.m. or sometimes even later. The location is right off PCH, making it a convenient stop, although the parking lot is very small and I could see it getting crowded if there were a long drive-through line. We initially parked and walked up to the door thinking we could order inside, but found out that orders are only taken through the drive-through that early. The ordering process was quick, and the barista was friendly and efficient. The drinks were decent overall, with a good coffee flavor, but nothing that really stood out. One thing that surprised me was the cost of the add-ons. My sister changed her milk to oat milk and added a pump of hazelnut, and both were an extra $1 each. The hazelnut flavor tasted good, but the additional charges felt a little steep. Overall, it was a convenient stop with solid coffee, especially if you need something early in the morning, but the pricing for customizations would make me think twice before ordering drinks again.

My friend and I ordered vanilla matcha drinks, but they didn't taste very good. The matcha had a strong, grassy taste, so we decided to order different drinks instead. The second drinks were okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the customer service was the biggest disappointment. My friend came back and asked for five paper plates. Since she is deaf, she was trying to communicate with the male employee by texting on her phone. Instead of being patient and understanding, he gave her an attitude and seemed upset with her. At one point, he yelled, "Just one paper plate!" We were very disappointed by the way she was treated, especially when she was simply trying to communicate. We hope the café can do better when it comes to treating all customers with kindness, patience, and respect. Because of this experience, we unfortunately won't be coming back.

They have cookies with fillings! And also some shakes and "dirty drinks" (flavored sodas). They have classic cookie options on the menu all the time and several cookie types that rotate weekly. I purchased two cookies and a drink. They have a couple tables inside but I decided to take the cookies home and enjoy the drink on the road. The two cookies I chose were the chocolate chip and the cookies & cream plus the Coco-Loco as my drink. The Coco-Loco is best described as a coconut Coke. It was fantastic, way better than I expected. I appreciated the finely ground ice in the bottom portion of the cup. My pet peeve is when places fill the cup to the top with ice and your drink is gone in three sips but here they provide just enough to keep it cold and refreshing. The cookies are presented in their own box and are large. They are soft cookies but ever-so-slightly crisp on the outside with soft fillings. The chocolate chip cookie had a filling that was essentially chocolate chip cookie dough. It was incredibly delicious and I would definitely get this one again. The cookies & cream had what tasted like Oreo frosting inside and was very good. It was a bit messier as it has crumbles on top and also the weight of the filling caused the soft cookie to fall apart, which one must be conscious of when eating these cookies. It's actually easier to eat when it's in a few pieces. Being a cookie-lover, I find what they have here to be better than what you get at other well-known cookie stores.
