Love sourdough bread! They have delicious loaves, toasts, sandwiches and pastries. Very reasonable prices in the cutest town.

Stopped by FKN Bakery while my wife was at a doctor's appointment and decided to grab a couple of cookies (I'm a big cookie fan and always down to try a new spot). Glad I did -- these were very good. I went with the salted chocolate chip and the peanut butter dark chocolate. Both were crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, generously sized, and reasonably priced. Easy 4 out of 5 stars for each. Parking was a little tricky...ended up in the back paid lot, didn't feel like paying the two bucks, so I made it a quick in-and-out mission and was relieved to come back to my car still ticket-free am I had two cookies in a brown bag - win win and a grin! Didn't get a chance to try the bread this time, but I'll definitely be back to check it out. Big thumbs up for the cookies

We were eating brunch at Breezy and was curious to see what type of bread they sell solely by their name. We got the cheddar jalopeno sourdough bread to bring back to LA. The owner was really friendly and shared that the the name is the first letter of his kids name. When I got home, I tried the bread and it was *chef's kiss* very delicious when toasted with butter. It's a vert small shop, mainly to go.

I'm finally deciding to write a review for FKN. I made the decision, because we just had another incredible sandwich from here. If you want delicious AND consistent!!!!! This is your place. All of their food is unreal. Sourdough specialists!!! Italian sandwich is my favorite. Cookies from FKN are way better than anywhere else. You'll find me wearing a FKN hat, because I love the food here SO much.

If you're reading this, here's what you need to do. Go to FKN bread and purchase any sourdough loaf because they're all delicious. Then go home, slice it, toast it and put some good butter on it. Thank me later. Maybe even get yourself a pastry too. They're all great but the lemon blueberry muffin hits different. Don't have a photo of it because my mouth was not patient enough. PSA: I am officially addicted to their chocolate chip cinnamon sourdough loaf. Might be one of the best things I've ever eaten and I will continue to purchase it and eat it for dessert every night. Thank you.

Some of the best bread in OC can be found at FKN Bread in San Juan Capistrano. Stopped in and got a loaf of their Italian Parmesan. Fantastic. The bread has a great chew and the flavor was amazing. Will definitely stop by again the next time I'm town.

We got a few pastries and a toast. Everything was pretty good. My favorite was the baklava croissant.

It has been a long time since I last visited FKN Bread. It's quite a bit of a drive for me, so it takes some planning to make my way out here. A friend of mine stopped by this weekend and picked up a Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough loaf ($13) for me. I'm happy to report that FKN Bread still makes the best Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough. They don't skimp on the jalapeño or cheddar. Their sourdough has just the right fermented taste that makes me crave it. I was afraid their prices might have skyrocketed since my last visit years ago, but at $13, it's still reasonable for the size and quality of the loaf. Thank you, FKN Bread, for maintaining the quality over the years. Keep it up!

We stopped by this bakery right before heading into The Mission. FKN are initials of their sons. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. From the outside, I thought it was bigger but it's a cute tiny little grab and go place. Each of the pastries are on display. Then I noticed this bakery specializes in everything sourdough which is my least favorite bread. We got ham and cheese sourdough croissant and chocolate sourdough croissant. Even though I'm not a fan of sourdough, it wasn't tastable in the ham and cheese but very noticeable in the dark chocolate croissant. Had the sour salty flavor. It's a matter of preference and sourdough is just not for me. I also wished they could have offered to heat it up. Instead it was cold and hard. They sell fresh baked loaves and we were told they sell out quickly.

We stopped by for a quick peak to see what they had left round 2pm. They did not have much so I got the chocolate cupcake and chocolate banana bread muffin. Oh my goodness, that was one of the best chocolate cupcakes I've had. I didn't realize it would have a peanut butter frosting but it was heavenly! It was salty and sweet and worked great with the moist chocolate cupcake. The banana bread muffin was a bit on the dry side but I would venture out here again just for that cupcake and to try other items!

This must be a five star place as I realized I drove 45 minutes to grab some goodies twice in one month. It was a positive day. I snagged parking right up front in busy San Juan, and FKN had their jalapeño cheddar loaf in stock. There is a sweet young woman working up front who greeted me and when asked for suggestions, she gave her favorites and what was popular. Her favorites included the everything bagel croissant for savory items and pumpkin muffin for sweet. They both were absolutely scrumptious. The bagel croissant was all fluffiness and butter w cream cheese as a bonus. Pumpkin muffin was moist and balanced. I haven't eaten the loaf yet but my coworker recommended to toast a slice with butter when I get home. Others that were recommended for its popularity include the baklavah muffin. Always a treat for family, friends and coworkers. Ambiance feels rustic, industrial and homey.

Have great breads and pastries, and sourdough cookies which are so unique. The last bread I got of the garlic and rosemary sourdough was spectacular, the texture was perfection. Not sure how long line is later on weekend days but when I went on weekday late morning there was no line, and line was short when my husband went super early on Saturday. The worker who helped me was very nice. Only bummer is bc of area I had to park in structure and pay $2 for hour of parking.

I was on a work trip and was looking for a place to eat lunch. I heard about this restaurant from a social media influencer. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by staff. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I ordered the turkey sandwich and the brown butter cookie. The turkey sandwich came with avocado, pepper jack cheese, arugula and mustard on sourdough bread. The sandwich was delicious and very filling. The cookie was also delicious and soft. The ambiance is customer friendly and very nice shop. This is a great place to go for lunch.

There was a little bit of a line but line moved fast, waiting for the food is what takes the longest. After you order at the food counter, you wait for your number to be called. Once called, you get all your items and you can order drinks if you want to. We were hungry so we over ordered. This is what we had: 1. Pozole: the soup was so tasty! They provide you with a small container of dry red peppers and oregano. Use it. It gives a nice kick to the soup. The meat was tender and the homini perfectly cooked. The ratio of homini to meat was just right. 2. Pork tamal: the masa was not the best I've had but it was still tasty. I like my pork tamales to have chunks of meat but the one I got was more like a meat mush. 3. Lengua plate: delicious! Came with a side of rice and beans. 4. Cabeza tacos: needed a little salt but cabeza usually does. The meat was very good. Try them with the green salsa. 5. Carnitas tacos: if you like different textures, get it mixed (cuero included). The mix of different parts of the pig is a lot tastier than regular maciza meat. 6. Drinks: horchata and Jamaica. No package drinks here. Horchata tasted home made and Jamaica was solid. Two of the adults had regular coke from the soda fountain (nothing special). 7. Dessert: flan and arroz con leche. Both very delicious and not overly sweet. Desserts can be paid for in the bakery area so no wait here. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of any of the food we ordered. We were so hungry that we started eating right away. The best part of this place was the affordable prices. For everything we ordered we paid ~$70. Not bad considering we had a lot of food, drinks, and desserts. There's counter siting available inside and some tables outside. Bathroom is on premises but I didn't go in so I'm not sure how clean it was or if it was gender neutral.

Paired the food with some horchata and agua fresca. The service can be a bit slow, maybe because it is usually busy. One thing to note is that you will need to order the drink with your savory order but pick up is on the other side with the sweets.

First, when you come in it's a bit confusing on where to go. I was standing there looking at the cases of treats while 2 people were infront of me trying to figure out what to order. I knew I wanted the turkey focaccia since that's what I saw online and looked decent. The guy asked if I was ready and ordered and asked if I wanted it toasted. I said yes and if there was anything else, i said no. I just stood there but he didn't tell me to go to the cash register or anything. I go over to the cashier and she asks if I ordered already, I say yes and tell her i got the turkey focaccia and she goes to gets it. In my head, I thought-he just put it in the oven. She comes out with the sandwich in a tiny plate with the turkey overflowing. I can tell it isn't warm. I sit down to eat and I have a half cold and half lukewarm sandwich. The focaccia bread itself is so thin, it can barely keep the sandwich together. I ate it since I paid $8 for it, but it was not good. It was falling apart, it was cold, it was not enjoyable. Disappointed and not sure if I'll be back. I may check out the Irvine location but I'm not running back.
