Such a cute place! Great for so many reasons. Their food accommodations are awesome and their coffee is SO yummy.

Today was "Lackadaisical Lola" at this cafe! We literally waited about 55 minutes to get our food! I mean really? We ordered a salad and a sandwich. You guys didn't even have to turn on the oven for us. I'm confused? And we were even told "your order will be out in 20 minutes. That's insulting. Do you think I don't know how to tell time? Thanks for bringing around 2 plates of "crostini's" but I came for actual FOOD. This "hangry" girl almost bailed then we were suddenly served. Just be honest and be like "We ran out of food so we gotta run to the store" or whatever your issue was. This place is always cute, but waiting an hour? That ain't cute. Sorry Lola, you missed the mark. read more

These guys rock!!! Being in the industry, I'd definitely say these guys do a great job with food, service and hospitality in general. Staffing for the industry is challenging right now, so please keep that in mind when you eat from and review a place. They have been amazing for me. I eat there 1-2 times a week, usually a breakfast item or sandwich for lunch. My wife loves it as well and she is pretty picky overall. Solid all-around and the only place I go in Ladera on a regular basis. read more

We'd heard good things about Lola's. We were not disappointed. The egg and avocado smasher was delicious and the cappuccino was a proper Italian-style. read more

I like one item off both the breakfast and lunch menu. That's about it. It's not a bad place but I don't like the Orange County housewife vibe. Also, I saw them load their fridge up with hard boiled eggs from Costco. I mean that's okay but it's not that hard to boil eggs. Also noticed their Madeline's wrapped in individual packaging from Costco. I wonder what else they don't do themselves. Nice customer service though. read more

Lolas Cafe is a great healthily spot to eat in Ladera Ranch. They have a fabulous menu and the owner is a gem. The food looks amazing and a must try is the lavender Arnold Palmer. Try the Avocado toast, the veggie wrap and the breakfast burrito with turkey bacon. My last trip I ordered the zucchini spiral salad. Everything has been great. read more

I've been here 4 times and every time I fall more and more in-love with this place! Everyone is really nice from the owner to the servers. I always felt welcome whenever I came. They even remember me by name now!!! I haven't had anything I didn't like from this place. My fav is the avocado toast which I've ordered at least a couple of times--- Very fresh and super tasty! I always get it on the multi grain bread which they spread mashed avocado on, topped with micro greens, chili flakes and hemp hearts. More faves? Lavender latte!!!! Not too floral and very tasty. The chicken pesto sandwich is also amazing! The pesto has so much flavor and goes very well with the chicken, fresh mozzarella and sundried tomatoes but most importantly, the baguette is not hard to chew and very flavorful. The breakfast burrito is soooo good you guys, you just have to order and find out yourself. Their gluten free pastries are to die for! Order the banana bread! Moist and not grainy. You wouldn't be able to tell that it is actually gluten free. So yummy! Did I mentioned that they also serve dog food for your furbaby???? Tank, my furbaby was in heaven when he got to also chow down while I enjoyed a beautiful day and amazing food. read more

I am so in love with this place! I drive pretty far to have lunch here, but it's so worth it! The food, the lattes, the desserts... sooooo good!! They have a great kids menu as well. The staff is professional and kind. I highly recommend!! read more

Love going to Lola's for a quick breakfast sandwich and a coffee. We like the egg/turkey bacon sandwich on artesian bread along with Suzi's special. They also make a killer cafe late using intelegencia coffee. read more

First of all, there is nothing like this place in Ladera Ranch. Anyone who lives in Ladera Ranch knows that this area is void of quality restaurants. Thank you Lola's Café for coming along and bringing a restaurant that not only serves inspired food, but takes into consideration organic, free range ingredients. Cold brew coffee on tap was perfect........ read more

I gave 3 stars because of the service. My simple order (lox salmon with mascarpone and bread) was lost, because of a problem with the register. When I told them about 20 min waiting time and asked for a takeaway, because I was going to be late for work, it took another 10 min to put salmon and bread in a box. Bad experience, though their brewed coffee is pretty good. read more

We NEEDED a place like Lola's in Ladera! It's amazing! Fresh, organic, local ingredients, friendly service, cute decor, and stumptown coffee. My favorites on the menu are the egg sandwich served with tomato and nitrate-free turkey bacon, their croissants, and non-fat latte. Since they have opened, my husband and I have stopped in numerous times, and have a great experience each time we dine. read more

Had the Curried chicken salad for lunch! Great tasting and very filling! Loved there multigrain toasted bread! The salads are tasty and the pizza looked great too! Pickles need a little work but I highly recommend this place if you go to the Tree of Life nursery! Or Reata Park! Both great places to see native plants! read more

Best coffee in ladera! Their tea is amazing as well I decided to try their food today and I was defiantly impressed! They have a great vegan selection and all of their products are organic. I got the vegan wrap and I will defiantly be coming back for it! The cashew cheese was so good and creamy super creamy! This is my favorite spot. I'd also like to add that everyone on their staff is super friendly and welcoming! read more

My friend and I had lunch here for the first time. I came home raving about this place. We ordered the Italian tuna which was tossed in olive oil and sundried tomatoes, and more. We also had the Brie with fig spread and sliced pear sandwich. It was beyond delicious! The food takes a little bit longer but is well worth the wait. The sandwiches were seriously crafted to perfection! I've been waiting for a place like this to come to Ladera Ranch. If you're not in the immediate area it IS worth the drive. Their hours are different so be mindful of that. Also the desserts and candies looked fantastic. We each had a melt in your mouth caramel. Will definitely be coming here again to try more! read more

I love this place, great food and atmosphere. My favorite thing is that the food is consistent. I usually get the avocado and egg smash or the veggie burrito and they always put a smile on my face! read more

Went here to order breakfast to go on a weekday. Was not very busy. Staff was even trying to kill time by restocking coffee cups and other items. Was waiting for 20 minutes before they asked me if I was waiting for something. I told them I ordered a breakfast sandwich. I had even asked someone about my order 10 minutes before. They said they forgot about it. Ended up waiting 25-30 minutes for an overpriced $12 sandwich. Was not worth the wait. I will not be coming back. read more

I love this place! The avocado toast is my go-to. For those that are vegan, there are definitely options! I'm going to try the vegan breakfast burrito the next time I go. My only compliant is that the service is very slow. If you're dining there, I would expect to wait 15-20 min for whatever you order. Coffee is even a 5 min wait. read more

Overall it is a cute little spot and most of the food looks yummy... However, DO NOT ORDER the eggs or turkey bacon. Both were like rubber! I think they cooked it in the microwave??? Not sure..... but like I said... I would go back again... but would not order what I did. read more

Funky, friendly, & cool cafe. Sandwiches & salads to go with a full coffee place. Unique snacks and baked goods. Had their tuna on wheat and love the textures. They even have Gluten Free French Toast! Can't wait to come again. read more

Great tasting sandwiches and super friendly customer service. I got a turkey club and it tasted great

Food was delicious, but it's too pricey for what you actually get. The egg sandwich is $11 for bread, avocado, egg, and cheese. That's it! No fruit, drink, or side dish. The sandwich alone was filling, but I think it's definitely overpriced. read more

What an amazing find! All foods prepared fresh, to your liking. I love the coffee, too. Biggest hit - the AVOCADO TOAST! Locally owned and operated ... owners are fantastic people, very involved in the community, very kind read more

So happy and excited to find this kind of resto here! Ladera is a nice place to live but suffers from a pretty bad mall food problem. Lola's is more akin to hip healthy restos in west LA where we moved from. Had a Lola's salad with curry chicken - highly recommend. This is the kind of salad worth going out for, with fresh interesting ingredients and unexpected flavors. Very satisfying. Interior is adorbs. The art is fun and modern and cool. Only constructive criticism to offer would be to turn the music down a notch, with the lunch rush it was pretty loud. But that's a very easy fix and very minor considering how good everything else was. The location is kinda tucked away, but worth finding. I'm not a big Yelp reviewer but hope this place gets tons of business and stays for good. We need more options like this! Thank you! read more

I am so very impressed by this little cafe. First of all, the service was absolutely incredible. Every single staff had a smile on their face and genuinely cared about communicating with their customers, how refreshing! Secondly, the food blew my mind. You can taste the quality and care given to it. I ordered a club sandwich and it was crisp, succulent, and full of flavor. I had a bite of my dad's crab cake salad and was so impressed. There has never been a crab cake that I have liked; this one changed my mind. It was stuffed with lump meat that was not overpowered by the seasoning or breading and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There's so much more I could say about the soup of the day and the different sauces I tasted. The atmosphere of the place was so enjoyable as well. This was an absolutely positive experience and I cannot wait to return!! read more

I'm stoked that this place seems to be getting busier every time I visit. It didn't look too good when the spot was under construction and "opening soon" for the better part of a year, but I love the food and atmosphere now that it's finally open. Service is quick and friendly, and I haven't beendisappointed in anything I've ordered. The Brie grilled cheese and iced black tea are my favorites. Ladera needed a place like this! Update: there's a pokestop here that's accessible from the dining room. Score! read more

So far I'm loving this place. It was my first time visiting today and I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast sandwich was amazing, and the coffee (lavender latte) to die for. Nice quaint ambiance, not too noisy. Is there room for improvement? Sure. The lady at the cash register wasn't the friendliest, but was not rude. I just thought she needed to be more helpful. I asked her about the pastries, because there was no description of them anywhere. I asked about the coffee as well. I felt she wasn't willing to be very "descriptive". There was no line behind me, so she was not in a hurry. I had an orange ginger scone and I can say it was just okay. That said... what made up for the bumpy experience with the lady at the register and the scone was the manager (owner, don't know) who personally went to check on us and asked what we thought about the food, flavors, etc. I firmly believe when an owner (or management) takes time to care about customers any wrinkle can easily be ironed out. Will definitely go back. Tomorrow. :) UPDATE: I have gone back several times. Just addicted to the lavender latte. I gave the cranberry ginger scone a second chance and was not disappointed. Great flavors, moist and soft. Finished it even before the rest of my food made it to the table. Tip: If you want the scone, get there early. It flies out the door! read more

I'm vegan and had heard about Lolas from several patrons of the restaurant and finally went to try. There aren't many vegan restaurants in South OC and restaurants that do offer vegan options have been a disappointment. Sure enough, as expected, I left disappointed. The vegan food selection is very small and nothing to return for, its pretty expensive too. As far as their non vegan menu and selections, I really can't speak for, but I won't be returning. More and more people are eating vegan for many reasons, you'd think restaurants owners would see that and take the opportunity. read more

Finally! Ladera Ranch has a good and unique restaurant! The only con is they are only open until 2 and closed Mondays. The food is so good and healthy. The owner is so nice. I can't wait to see how they do. Please go to this restaurant, let's keep this place open for a long time! read more

What an adorable early morning breakfast spot. The inside is as cute as a button with all the rustic looking tables and chairs as well as outside seating. It has a very cozy and warming feel to it. I ordered the Avocado toast, which comes with different bread options. It's topped with red pepper flakes cherry tomatoes olive oil sea salt and a bunch of other tasty flavors. It was the perfect amount of food. Their lavender Arnold Palmer is so refreshing! The food does take a while to come out to you, but if you're patient it's totally worth the wait. read more

Wow. This place is the bees knees. Mathew is as real as it can get. Super passionate guy about food. I had a salad and it has to be the most well balanced goodness around. Not overtaken by dressing, perfectly balanced. Overall experience was amazing. Really welcoming and I can tell he cares about his guests. Freshest ingredients and just so much love and care put into the overall atmosphere, all around I recommended this restaurant!! read more

Was there 12/18 at 10:00am. I do NOT appreciate being lied to! When placing my order for one small decaf coffee I asked the cashier if it was brewed coffee. She assured me that it was. I watched the barista make a shot of decaf coffee and add hot water to it. It was the worst cup of coffee I've ever very had! Hot water with a coffee flavor. Management needs to retrain employees and definitely call out this girl for her blatant lie! read more

Terrible place! Our first experience was good and then second and third was horrible. They need to stop taking orders when there are no seats. Food is ok but completely overpriced. Cashier was rude when I asked her to refund my order since there was no where to sit. When she gave me my refund, it was short. The worst part about it was I gave a 15 percent tip when I paid for my food. Basically, cold food, mushy and cold tater tots, regular coffee, breakfast burrito and a pizette for $40 that I ate in my car. I could have went to Mc Donald's and gotten better service for a fraction of the price. As a ladera resident, I had high hopes for this place. After a couple of years in business, they should have figured out their traffic flow and customer experience. Update: clearly the tone starts from the top down. Thank you trying to justify her attitude. Of course the rest of your team will back her up. It's as simple as, "mr. and Mrs customer, we have a full house at the moment and limited in seats" would you like to wait or take it to go? Me as a customer, "thank you, we'll wait for some seats to open up and then place our order so the food isn't cold when I finally sit down to enjoy my Sunday breakfast with my family". was that too much to ask for? Other restaurants do it. Please reconsider...... read more

I love this place! It's beautifully decorated down to the local art and plants. The owner is obviously passionate about the amazing coffee. I see him taste what's coming out.
