    Hawaiian Salmon HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This is the best Poke spot from Ladera to Irvine. HANDS DOWN. The food is so fresh, the Hawaiian salmon was delicious. The owner is so awesome. But the food. High quality. Super yummmy. Loved it and making this the usual rotation poke spot.

A lil pricey for rice balls, but it was good to give them a try. They have a few high top tables inside, which can accommodate up to 10 people, but it seemed like they were pretty popular for takeout. After ordering, it does take a bit of time to prep. I think we waited about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. We tried a little bit of everything with an order of the Quartet ($16.59): - 2x KBBQ Prime Beef; $5.49 a la carte - 1x Teriyaki Salmon; $5.49 a la carte - 1x Tuna Mayo; $4.99 a la carte The rice ball size is pretty big and seasoned with furikake seasoning, but they aren't packed very well. After the first bite, the onigiri will fall apart, so keep a spoon handy. Beef and tuna were good, but the salmon teriyaki fell flat. 1) why is the salmon teriyaki so saucy 2) husband kept saying it was chicken teriyaki lol When I think of poke, I think of the protein, sauce and toppings all mixed together before setting on base. However, everything was assembled as layers and they were a bit heavy handed on sauce. The bottom of my bowl felt a lil soupy, so I'd opt to get sauce on the side next time. This was my order for a 3-protein poke bowl ($14.99): - Base: Brown Rice & Salad - Protein: 2x salmon and 1x hawaiian salmon - Sauce: Ponzu, Spicy Mayo and House (you can choose up to 3) - Toppings: cucumber, masago, seaweed, pickled jalapeno, cherry tomatoes (you can choose 5) - Crunchies: furikake and nori Overall, it was nice to check it out, but it won't be our first choice for this type of cuisine.

Saw this place listed number one on my recommended list. Ended up taking a night drive with my wife from 15 minutes down the road wanting to try this place out. Initially came for the onigiri because why not? But came in for a classic poke bowl, can't go wrong with it. This place is called ONIGURU after all, so don't forget to get a side or onigiri. Love the play on wordsand love the atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was great. In the picture: Left: Poke Bowl (S) Double Spicy Tuna and Hawaiian Salmon with masago, crab meat, fried onions, and seaweed flakes. House Sauce, Ponzu, Spicy Mayo Right: Poke Bowl (S) Spicy Tuna, Hawaiian Tuna, Hawaiian Salmon with masago, scallions, fried onions, seaweed flakes, sesame seeds, chili flakes. Spicy Mayo, House, Teriyaki, Sesame Oil Definitely willing to come back for multiple orders of onigiri

First time we tried Oniguru and my daughter Loved it. We ordered quartet with beef, tuna, salmon and shrimp and the boba milk tea. Thank you. Will recommend to friends.

OniGuru, as the name would imply, sells Japanese onigiri as well as rice bowls and poke. However, I was primarily interested in the onigiri, as we don't have many options in this side of OC. My sister and I both tried the tuna mayo, KBBQ, crab salad, and teriyaki salmon. Tuna Mayo (2.5/5) was decent, but a little disappointing. I was excited to try this flavor, since it was my favorite during my trip to Japan. I think that there wasn't enough mayo and the tuna didn't taste as fresh. KBBQ (3/5) was about what I expected. Good, but I probably would not order it regularly. Crab salad and teriyaki salmon (4/5) were the best flavors, in my opinion. I gobbled these two for brunch. They were creamy, and full of flavor. I love onigiri and I'm so happy that we finally have an onigiri place in south OC. With a few tweaks, I think that this can easily be part of my regular food rotation whenever I'm in town.

Oniguru is hands down one of my favorite finds! The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite feels thoughtfully prepared--especially the onigiri, which is next-level delicious. But what really made my visit special was Zeynep. From the moment I walked in, she welcomed me with warmth and genuine care. Her energy, attention to detail, and clear passion for hospitality made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Zeynep is the kind of person who turns a great meal into an unforgettable visit. I'll absolutely be coming back--partly for the amazing food, but just as much to see her again. Oniguru is lucky to have her!

One of the few places open late in the area which I really appreciate. Had the Onigiri quartet. Due to smaller size ended up getting 2 orders. Tried the salmon and kbbq. Salmon had better flavor since kbbq was very bland. But tbh both were just ok in terms of taste and consistency. Rice ball didnt hold up well and wish it was stickier or toasted. Overall for the price its a bit lacking. But service was friendly and offered indoor seating. 3 stars.

Perfect for a cold winter day and we both really enjoyed it. Poke is excellent, the fish is very fresh and I loved the sauce it's served with! We also got some oysters which were a great deal for only $1.50 each, and they were so good! I'm always hesitant with oysters but these were very tasty and fresh! Would definitely get them again. Our favorite item was the tempura shrimp, literally would get an order for each person next time it was that good!! The garlic wings were good too, on our next visit we need to try more of the small bites for happy hour because everything we got was great! For our mains we got the clam steamers and a seafood cioppino. The clam steamers were good and served alongside fries and some tasty bread for dipping. The cioppino wasn't our favorite but we were full from so many tasty things we didn't even mind. Service was fairly quick for how packed they were, literally every table both inside and outside the store were full because everyone was coming for the happy hour. We got a bit of pushback when we asked for a takeout container for the cioppino we didn't eat because staff assumed we wanted to get our happy hour food to go which is not allowed. Once we explained that the 3 happy hour items we ordered were all consumed and cleared from the table and that we wanted the takeout contained for our cioppino, they gave us the box. They also appear to be dog friendly as there were several pups in the outdoor dining area:) We will definitely be back and can't wait to try some new yummy items!

Poke, is a great alternative to sushi but more budget friendly. There are tables in the front if you want to eat outside and limited seats inside the restaurant. Inside is nice and clean. We were immediately greeted by the workers who were very polite and thankful for our business. They offer multiple proteins here that looked, smelled and tasted fresh. You can choose a bed of rice or mixed greens for your base and pile on as many toppings as you want, with some having an extra charge like avocado. The regular size is filling as they're not stingy, but I like to order the larger size in order to have leftovers. Speaking of leftovers, I had mine the next day which was still just as tasty without tasting fishy, dry or gross. I like Poke Bowlz a lot compared to some other places I have been. Some joints have the fish sitting in a lot of its juices. I always make sure to look down into the containers of protein to check for this. They give you 3 scoops for a regular size, 4 for the large bowl. Doesn't sound like much but believe me, they won't skimp down to the last ounce or piece of fish. Thank goodness, cause I've been to a place where they literally weigh the fish and will put back that one "extra" piece. Seriously. One piece. It's so off putting. Not at Poke Bowlz. I am looking forward to grabbing another bowl soon. Try the garlic ponzu sauce mixed with spicy mayo. It's delicious! Bonus, they also have a points program where you can get either a discount or free something. I can't remember which since last time I redeemed my points was a couple of years ago. Happy eating and see you again soon, Poke Bowlz!
