This restaurant faces a challenge. Many people expect a Japanese restaurant to serve sushi, but this one does not. I knew full well what I was getting into when I ordered the trio @ $15. Unfortunately they got my order wrong, then tried to BS me that the tuna mayo (which I didn't want) was the salmon teriyaki (which I did want). The taste was pretty bland and the onigiris fall apart when you bite into them. So overall, not very good tasting and messy/unsatisfying to eat=bad combo. Nice try though. read more

Meh. While I have never had authentic onigiri before, I do make them at home and enjoy them. I got the 4 pack and tried the spicy tuna, salmon, kbbq, and crab. They wrap the seaweed around the warm onigiri which is great if you are sitting down to eat them right away. By the time I got home and unpacked the food, the seaweed was soft and chewy. The onigiri are good size with a good amount of filling, but all the flavors were very mild aside from the kbbq. I honestly enjoy the prepackaged ones from the Japanese markets better. read more

The service was very friendly, and since they were brand new in the Ladera Ranch neighborhood, I welcomed them! The place was clean and tidy, and sanitary. Everything tasted fresh. I wish they had their AC on, it felt a little stuffy when I entered. The prices were on point. I only wish they would have more of a selection of toppings.
