Let me start by saying that the ONLY reason I'm writing this review is because of some INCREDIBLE team members working today! I walked in and ordered a Turkey club, and I prepared for the worst. There have been times I've eaten here and the wait was too long, or the food came out cold. I decided to give it another chance (hopefully not regrettably) and ate in. The Host today (Giselle) was SPECTACULAR. She was attentive to my needs, offered to get me a glass of water, and was constantly checking on my order. Is she a manager here? She should be! The way she was taking care of the restaurant was top tier manager material. I've never seen such amazing customer service here and her positive attitude made me want to eat here again. read more

The "Best" local spot. If you want a coffee, pastry, salad, sandwich or just a place to hang out with a friend - this is the place . This place gives a laid back LA vibe in the OC. Great cuisine and the owners are so nice and friendly . You gotta try the summer camp chocolate chip, marshmallow and rice krispy cookie. We also love their Turkey Bacon Club sandwich and Avocado Toast. read more

What an incredible experience to say the least, fantastic food that is truly on another level. The presentation was top notch and then you taste it! Matthew owns this little gem and is super friendly. I had the Oven Roasted Turkey Club which was amazing, my sister got Louis' Grilled Cheese which was by far the table favorite. read more

Lola's is still amazing! Over the years Lola's has managed to maintain great quality and great service. The owners are lovely and you are never disappointed. The house lemony dressing on top of the avocado toast is to die for and the iced green tea is the best I've ever had. read more

Wonderful! Healthy, homemade and delicious. I was honored to be treated like royalty by the owner. Knowing it was my first visit he was attentive, friendly and helpful. I asked for a touch of salt and he introduced me to Laguna Salt Company's salt. Yum. He dictored my coffee with one of their made-from-scratch syrups. Mmmm. Atmosphere was buzzing. Great place to savor some fab flavors read more

The only thing better than the food, coffee and atmosphere here is the family that runs it! The owner is incredibly friendly and down to earth, he is even at the register sometimes taking orders! His wife is incredibly sweet and kind! It's beautiful to see how they both take care of their cafe. The avocado smash sandwich is one of my favorites! Hands down my favorite place. I will always come back here :)! read more

The food here used to be good - we used to come all the time pre-pandemic - and thought we'd come support after a local appointment. They've done a good job with safety but they are unbelievably slow and completely overpriced for the food. We ordered 3 items and then proceed to wait for at least 25 minutes watching the employees chat and move at a snails pace. Not a place to drop in and order, they didn't even acknowledge the wait time. When we got home we opened the food and see sandwiches sized for toddlers. We paid over $50 for this (with tip)?!?!? With so many other locals to support, I think we'll pass on coming here again. What a rip off. read more

Lola's Cafe - This is their sandwich. Pen for scale. Utterly ridiculous. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

Great service... food was disappointing. Turkey bacon was from Costco freezer section. Coffee tastes like water

A little expensive compared to other similar cafes, but good! And they offer gluten free options

It's so good to have a coffee shop like this in Ladera Ranch. :-) Avocado toast, vegan scone and the lavender lattes are a must!

The food here is great and amazing. The drinks are a little pricey but so delicious it's worth it. The service is amazing and they are pretty fast and attentive to you, and the open farm table seating create a fun family environment. They do get pretty busy and are on the smaller side so sometimes seating for large parties is difficult but so worth it. read more

Great local spot. My wife loves meeting friends here. I like bringing the family as well. The breakfast burritos are really good, but they are 1/4 too small for the price. It would be perfect if they were bigger. read more

Firstly, the aesthetic of the place is amazing. It's so cute and welcoming. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I went with my cousins and ordered a bunch of things to share (which were all amazing). My favorite was the breakfast burrito though. It had things that I don't normally see in a breakfast burrito and it was AMAZING. They have so many delicious lattes too. I had one during brunch then got one to go (it was that good!). Will definitely be going back read more

Lola's Cafe was so amazing in so many ways. Both visits were breakfast centered. Open long tables and patio seating. Intelligencia coffee + tons of other bev options from teas to Hint waters to fresh squeezed organic OJ. Selection of Toasts was impressive. Sweet / Savory and presented in a board for easy eating. Had a Butternut Quinoa Egg White bowl with arugula and killer dressing. Staff was super cool. Cool little hidden food area by Ladera Sports Center. read more

Way to pricey for what they offer. Thirty something dollars for two toast and avocado. Thanks, but no thanks. Hope they pull through though. I always want to support small businesses. read more

I've been here a few times and it's been amazing every time. They have gluten free bread AND vegan butter (the good brand that actually tastes like butter). The almond milk lattes are delicious too. read more

Went to Lola,s for the last time two weeks ago. My experience there has been the same for years since they opened but this officially was the last time for me. Every time I order, especially with the owner, I am judged by changes, modifications or requests to my selections. He tries to talk me into his way despite just letting me order how I want or like it. This time I went to get some water from the drink bar because for once, I forgot my water bottle. Asked for a to go cup and was shamed by the other owner for using plastic. I didn't really care what kind of cup she put it in just wanted some water. Thanks for the lesson on the environment, yes I'm normally much more responsible. Moving onto my order. Ordered my salad with chicken. Again this was with the owner. My friend heard me, order comes out, no chicken. I go back, tell them the mistake, and he goes to search for my order within his system. Minutes later says, oh yes I took your order but I missed the chicken and... If you wanna pay for it. So you make the mistake, admit it and ask me to pay? No thanks. These types of experiences have happened literally every time I'm there. I get it's Covid and these are hard times but the customer service there absolutely sucks. It starts from the top. Food is overpriced for what you get. read more

On 6/24 at 1:00 pm, three of us visited Lola's cafe. I saw numbers on the menu (turned out to be prices, but what I saw was 11 Tuna Salad sandwich, 12 some other food and 13 grilled cheese/tomato soup). My friend and I "argued" over who was to pay, finally the young man took my card)....then we ordered...I said #11....then my friend and her daughter verbally said grilled cheese and tomato soup. Right there, the wait staff should have asked me what I wanted....there were three of us...so I thought I had ordered... We then ordered drinks, and I paid. I hate putting on a tip BEFORE service, but I did...18%. We then went outside to find a table (COVID, you know....) One table was empty, but dirty....so we went back in and asked them if they could clean it. 7 minutes later, someone does. With simply a wet rag. We then waited another 5 minutes for our ice tea and 2 waters. They said they would call our name when our food was ready. We saw them come out and call other names, so we waited.... Another 5- 10 minutes later we went back in to ask how much longer, and we saw our food just sitting there....so we made sure it was ours, and took it outside. That was when we notice only 2 meals...the soup and grilled cheese. Went back in and asked about the tuna sandwich. That is when he said "We don't order by number, I thought you were joking." Even so, logic tells you that if I said a #11 and you don't have it, wouldn't you ask me what I meant????? Then we had to go back in and ask for spoons for the soup. My friends recommended this place, it was my first time....and now it was my last time. My friend and her daughter will not be coming here again either. Disappointing.... read more

GREAT fresh healthy food that is amazingly delicious. Very unique and healthy. Cute ambiance. Would give 5-stars but for two things: 1.) Couldn't find the menu to order. Girl behind the register vaguely waved to the right telling me to find a clipboard with the menu on it. What?! 2.) Restaurant was not busy with about 25% of tables full. Could not find one clean table to sit at. Well-staffed location....what were all of the employees doing? Bussing and wiping down the tables to ensure they're clean for the next customer will definitely help bring customers back. I'll go back for the food....one more chance for the service. read more

The coffee is good The aesthetics are very great and modern great choice of serviettes but that's where it stops the service is all over the place and the food although fresh is just above average and bland Overall it's great for a lazy Sunday brunch but not a place you'd like to come back to another time read more

Love the food selection here: healthy, vegetarian options, gluten free options, espresso. It's all delicious and has that homemade taste. On the downside, the coffee bar is always very backed up and slow, and the staff always seem to be new and inexperienced. read more

Hot diggity! This was a delightful surprise!! I had the vegan burrito, and it exceeded my expectations. It was insanely delicious, and I'm already thinking of when I can go back and get another. My daughter had their Icelandic sandwich, I think it was called, and she was absolutely gobsmacked by how incredibly tasty it was. She had a bite of mine, and thought it was amazing, too. We both had lattes, mine with oat milk, and they definitely hit the spot. We definitely plan on going back, so I'd certainly recommend it. The service was great, the food had a superior balance of flavors and textures, and they had a variety that, I believe, would accommodate any palate. I can't wait to go back! This may be my new favorite place!! read more
