Good food, and really good coffee (stumptown), although the menu is small. It's nice breakfast/lunch treat or date spot.

Cutest spot ever! Quick and friendly service and the owner is so sweet! I'm going to come back often. Had the power bowl with chicken. read more

Went yesterday and ordered the avocado toast and Rustico flat bread Togo! Told me the wait would be about 20 minutes and I waited 40 minutes, still came home and was cold sad to know that even waiting that long I would have thought the food would have been warm but with their complications of not having my avocado toast on there probably made the flatbread cold. Overall not really pleased with quality of food or service!! I came here on recommendations from neighbors and friends and I just happened to come on a day that wasn't a great experience for my family!! read more

Not good. Seems to have employees who have never served. Food is simple and cafeteria like.

My boyfriend and I were trying to think of what to eat for breakfast and remembered that we had not tried Lola's Cafe. I ordered the avocado toast, a side egg, and an almond milk matcha green tea latte. My boyfriend ordered the Tuscan chicken sandwich, an almond milk latte, and tried ordering the granola and yogurt parfait. I say tried because when he asked about it the cashier said she had to go ask if they still had any. We heard the cook say "after that no more". The cashier came back to tell us that they could serve us granola but that they were trying to ration it for the rest of the day. If granola and yogurt is served all day and a customer is trying to purchase it, then why does it matter??? Fast forward to getting our food, the Tuscan chicken sandwich was so small, my boyfriend was still hungry afterwards. My avocado toast was a good sized portion but it was so bland I did not want to finish my food. The rubbery side of an egg that came alongside my avocado toast was absolutely bland too. The avocado on the toast was not fresh and tasted like it had somehow been preserved. The only thing we did like about this restaurant was our drinks. We will not come back to try Lola's Cafe again. It is very expensive for the amount of food and how tasteless it is. I was disappointed because of the great reviews and how cute this place looks! I really wanted to like it but it just wasn't good. read more

Great prices and consistent with the quality of food each time we order! Their brioche French toast soufflé is one of my favorites. I do wish they had longer hours but it is a breakfast/brunch spot so it's understandable. read more

Amazing spot! Had the tuna sandwich and was amazing. Also had a cup of peony tea which was great! Inviting inside and a great menu selection! read more

I think I've brought every member of my family here, and I'm working on neighbors and friends because this place is !!! I've been coming since it opened and it's only gotten better. The menu selection is large enough to have variety (with vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian options), but not so big as to be overwhelming. They even have kombucha! The food is flavorful, and you get a good enough portion to be satisfied but not stuffed. The owners are so friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, with plenty of outdoor seating (pet-friendly!). If you're looking for an ice place to go that's not a bland, boring chain, this is your spot!!! read more

Love this little spot. Love the homey vibe and the energy of this spot. The food is delicious and live for their lavender late's. Always make a point to stop by when I am in the area. Highly recommend! read more

The avocado toast was bomb, avocado was fresh and flavorful with lots of toppings. The little cherry tomatoes that come with are super fresh and compliment the toast. Not a fan of the turkey bacon. Got a little poached egg on the side to dip the toast in egg yolk. As I'm writing this I'm probably gonna go get some tomorrow morning just thinking about it haha. read more

Lola's is an amazing find! The food is well made, the coffee so good, the specialty drinks are so so yummy!

Bad experience today. We calles in and placed N order. They made us a hot mocha instead of a iced one. When we said it was supposed to be iced, she argued with us, then rolled her eyes. Whoever this is should be fired read more

Lola's is awesome. The ambience is very clean and chic, with a sprinkle of hipster NYC vibes. I got the avocado toast w/an iced coffee. My grandmother got the same thing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch eating breakfast. It was shaded and peaceful. My avocado toast was fulfilling and tasty. read more

Great place for a light breakfast/brunch in south OC! Ordered a lavender latte (delicious), lox on baguette and berry flat bread. The lox was really good and the baguette was soft and crunchy. The berry flat bread was also tasty but we drizzled some agave that you can find at the drink/condiments area and that made it perfect. Will definitely come back if ever in the MV area. read more

I really enjoyed the avocado toast. Delicious! Coffee is good too. The presentation of the food is really nice. Good service. I've been there twice and I definitely will come back. read more

This place is tasty, but nothing blows me away. I appreciate how fresh and clean everything tastes and can really tell that quality is prioritized here. With this being said, prices are steep here and I have spent upwards of 40$ on lunch for two people multiple times. Overall, a great clean-eating restaurant. read more

Fantastic community coffee shop and restaurant. My wife and I love going there for a quick bite while our kids are away. The staff is friendly and professional and the food is fantastic. read more

I did enjoy the food, we had the Breakfast Burrito which was good but small portion and the french toast which a pretty dish but was just average taste-wise. The filtered coffee was less than average but their specialty coffee did looked good. Lastly the price was a little high and the portion size was small for my taste. The staff and owner are super friendly. I love having a pet friendly area to sit with the dogs. Owner is nice enough to meet everyone. Lola is actually the owners dog and the wall art gallery is named after the owners 2nd dog. I noticed while I was there the most ordered dish was the avocado toast. If we can make it out again I want to give that a go! read more

Good but a few dollars more expensive. I had some food and it was good. Probably 2 bucks more than other places that are comparable and an iced honey vanilla almond milk latte which cost $11.00. Yep thats right! I was in a hurry so I just let it go. But they lost me there. They use Intelligencia specialty coffee which is really good quality coffee but the cost for add-in's or milk substitutions is expensive. What's that about, Lolas? read more

Although the interior and staff are nice and the coffee was pretty good the food is another story. They market a French toast souffle but it tasted more like a microwaved muffin. I was quite excited to try my first ever souffle type dish but instead it was extremely doughy, chewy and steam wouldn't stop coming out from the bread after cutting it open. I've had some bad microwaved mug cakes in my day and this tasted pretty similar to that. Their breakfast burrito also seemed to be microwaved or not fresh bc the tortilla was burning to touch. Fresh food to order would have kept me coming back. But when you cut corners it shows. read more

I am so glad to hear that Lola's Cafe is opening on Mondays. The owners are great, friendly and helpful. It's a fairly small venue so parties larger than 3-4 will have a hard time with seating. I have gone by myself and it has been a good time. I love the breakfast burrito, and they will even given you a gluten free version if you ask. Their coffees are interesting to try. Next time, I will try the cashew chicken sandwich, as I saw it on a customer's table and it looked amazing. They also have gluten free chocolate cupcakes and chocolate rolls, individually wrapped, by the register. They keep in the frig, folks. Wonderful small business, and generous to the community. read more

Adorable cafe in Ladera Ranch and it happens to be close to my sisters home. We went later in the day but thankfully they don't close until 5 so we had some time to grab some snacks and coffee. My sister got a chicken curry sandwich with tomato basil soup and I got the kale and Brussel sprout salad. I got a regular coffee and it was great. I didn't realize that the kale and Brussel sprout salad had parmesan cheese all over it and I have a dairy allergy. The owner was very friendly and welcomed us when we came in. He also came to ask how we liked our food and offered to get me a to go box as he could see I didn't eat much of the salad. I agreed to one because I figured my sister or brother in law might enjoy it and hate wasting food. He asked me how I liked it and I said, I actually can't eat cheese and I should have asked if there was any on the kale And brussel sprout salad but I didn't so it's my fault. He came and brought me a to go box and then he gave me another tabouli salad that had no dairy in it and was vegan. He said take this one, there's no dairy and you can at least enjoy it. Great service. I also bought a marshmallow rice Kristin treat that was $6, and yes it was huge but definitely over priced so I'll pass on it next time but can't wait to get their coffee next time I'm in town and just to stop in to enjoy this cute atmosphere. read more

This was my first visit to Lola's and it was delicious. I can't believe it's taken me this long! We had the bacon & egg sandwich and the breakfast burrito to share. The bacon & egg sandwich was on buttery brioche with a perfect hard poached egg and the turkey bacon was crispy and flavorful. The breakfast burrito was our favorite. We've all had so-so burritos, but this was not one of those. Highly recommend. It was another hard poached egg, turkey bacon, gruyere, sweet potato and avocado on a spinach tortilla. They were both artfully presented on bamboo boards. With Lola's being a coffee shop, we also had to try the lattes. We had a honey vanilla latte and a lavender latte. Both were creamy and tasty with just a hint of flavor. I think I preferred the honey vanilla, but the lavender grew on me. I love having a place like this in the neighborhood and will definitely be back! read more

I loved this place!!! Great service. Friendly service. The food was really good too. I would highly recommend the avocado toast with a poached egg or the breakfast burrito. Really cute cafe. Just opened, so service is a little slow (my friend got her salad way before I got mine) and the hours are pretty short. But I'm certain that will work out as the staff gets more experience and they hire more people to stay open longer. We got the Lola House Salad and the zucchini noodle salad (the noodles are just cut raw zucchini.) It was very good, really refreshing and unique. The watermelon radish on the house salad gave it a lovely color and had a slight sweet and crisp flavor. It was a little pricy, but I like supporting mom-n-pop-shops, so I'll be coming back. read more

Update- I meant to update this a while back ago. We had a bad experience a few months ago, but Matthew, the owner, took his time to respond to my review and apologize. I appreciate that immensely. Amazing customer service and follow-up. We plan to head back to Lola's once again this weekend to try it out. Looking forward to having a much better experience. Thank you, Matthew, for valuing your customers and taking the time to personally resolve the issue. Sadly, have to update our review. Came in this morning and ordered an Avocado Toast and A Bacon and Egg Sandwich. Have been sitting here for 30 minutes and was just told it would be another 10 because they have soufflés that take six minutes each and a bunch are a head of our order. They have to go in order of the ticket that comes in. Ok, can make sense, but who stops their kitchen to wait to soufflés to bake? Both my parents have owned restaurants and I worked in them for over 10 years. I have never heard of such craziness. Someone needs to take over the kitchen management and get this fixed ASAP. Party by us has already walked out after waiting 30 minutes too- without ever getting their order. This makes me sad. I hope they do something soon. If this becomes norm, they will lose lots of business. read more

This place isn't bad but they really need to rethink their egg strategy. I feel giving out 4 or 5 starts should go to restaurants that really deserve them. I ordered avocado toast with an egg on top, I got a microwaved hockey puck...literally. read more

Overpriced for the amount of food you get. Go to a diner and get twice as much for the price.

We have gone here off & on for years & loved it but it's gone so far down hill. they're cutting corners on the food & when we went this AM my husband who will eat almost anything didn't even eat his breakfast burrito. it was that bad. my coffee was burned & the poached egg i added for $1.75 onto my avocado toast was cooked hard (no runny yolk ie cooked incorrectly. this is such a cute spot i feel so disappointed the food has gotten so poor what a shame read more

This is one of our family's favorite restaurants in all of Orange County. Great food with many healthy (often vegan) options. We love the breakfast burrito with the side of turkey bacon and a gluten free berry muffin. And we love the numerous choices (chicken curry sandwich / Tuscan chicken sandwich / grilled vegan cheese sandwich / various house salads) for lunch. It has a a great owner in Matt and it offers super hardworking, delightful employees with Alexis and Hailey. You can't go wrong with this place! And when they are busy with a surge of customers? Be patient. For us, it is always worth the wait. Again, our favorite place. read more

Absolutely amazing! The owner worked the cashier and was very knowledgeable and kind. I got the tuna melt and asked for no cheese and he asked if i wanted vegan cheese instead and it was amazing. I wouldn't have thought to ask for that or knew it was an option but I'm glad he brought it to my attention because I will definitely be getting again. I also appreciate the variety of vegan and gluten-free options. The lattes were amazing as well, a definite must try! read more

This little cafe is so so good and it's kind of a gem in the business area of Ladera Ranch. Almost anytime I'm meeting a friend for lunch I always suggest Lola's. Excellent! I ordered the french toast soufflé, and my boyfriend ordered avocado toast on multigrain with a poached egg on the side. Both meals were filling and delicious. Try to come here at the right times, as seating can be hard to find, especially if you don't want to sit at the community table. I came at 11am on a Friday and it was packed, but 12:30 on Saturday was fine. Helpful and friendly staff. read more

This place was sooo cute! I wanted so badly to like the food, but unfortunately my Mediterranean salad fell short in flavor. At first I thought it was dry, but by adding more of their dressing it just made the salad oily but still bland. I got some lemon wedges and that helped a little, but it still needed salt (there was none on the table) and at that point I was over cooking at a restaurant that just charged me $20 for a salad and a cup of soup. The soup was good by the way, but nothing to write home about. Maybe I just picked wrong thing, but the salad I chose was recommended by the cashier. read more

The food is amazing here but don't go unless you have a lot of time on your hands. I know it's busy on the weekends so I called in my order ahead of time and was told 15-20 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes after I called it in just to give them extra time. Here I sit an hour later still waiting on my breakfast burrito. An hour for a breakfast burrito!?! No matter how amazing it is it's not worth an hour wait. ****update*** after an hour of waiting THEY MESSED UP THE ORDER!! Will never be coming back here. read more
