I haven't tried their coffee but I did try their gluten free cookie. It had a delicious filling and wasn't overly sweet. Will be back to try more goodies. read more

I've been to Lola's 4 times and have not bothered to review this place because I figure it would get better. Every time I come in, I have to wait to order an avocado toast. To make things more irritating is that it takes even longer for them to serve it. I keep thinking to myself, how hard is it to toast bread, spread avocado, Place a few greens, and drizzle honey? Apparently over 30 minutes. Good food, but very bad service...every time. read more

Great food. I do have issues half the time when picking up a mobile order, usually the receipt machine didn't work and they start my order when I'm there or etc. great food great people but I usually wait longer than I want even for a called in advance pick up. Favorites are the ehh and bacon sandwich add avo! Breakfast burrito! And the avo toast! read more

Lola's is a delightful breakfast and brunch cafe! Highly recommend sitting on the patio if there's space. The coffee was decent (good brew, several specialty drinks) but the food offerings were much better than expected. I really enjoyed the lox plate with the fresh baguette. I generally don't care for build-it-yourself dishes but this one was composed of solid quality bread, spread, and fish, with ample onions and capers. Portion size was generous and proportionate to the price and it's something I would come back for. read more

I have loved Lola's for some time, but never reviewed because they already have plenty of awesome reviews. However, I appreciate them even more during this pandemic. I appreciate that they are encouraging safe practices while continuing to serve delicious, healthy food. Thanks, Lola's! P.S. I recommend any of their lavender beverages... sooo good. read more

As a former restaurant owner, I don't like having to submit a bad review but Lola's Cafe in Ladera Ranch is a huge disappointment. The menu was very limited, not a problem if what they offered was edible. I had the misfortune to order lox, slimy and tasteless, served on stale baguette w/ a total of 6 capers a small scoop of what they called Italian cream cheese and red onion. Another diner ordered the same and we commiserated. Terrible! Presentation just as amateurish. My granddaughter had Brioche French toast, it came without the "homemade " whipped cream, when I ask about it, they said it would be an additional charge, unbelievable! The bill was $35, way overpriced! Guess they're trying to compensate for the high overhead in Ladera Ranch. I did have a good latte, it was the best thing about the entire visit. read more

Great local spot! We ordered breakfast food and sat out on the patio. The staff was extremely attentive and even provided us with a complimentary banana bread which was incredible! I was shocked at how amazing it tasted. I'd def visit again - but it is also on the pricier side for smaller portions. read more

Such a cute place! The food is fresh and delicious. A great lunch spot or grab a sweet treat to go. The staff is very friendly.

Came here for the first time today and it will be my last. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a matcha latte. The matcha was gross. They don't sweeten it at all. Then I waited about 45 mins for my burrito that was not even good tasting. Come to find out their order printer wasn't working so I gave them a little grace but they were giving people who ordered after me their food first and I was still there waiting. I get things happen as I do work in the food industry as well, however, they did nothing to make it right. I paid $20 for this and it was a complete waste of my time and money. They should've offered something on the house or a discount or something. That's what the place I work at does. read more

I love lola's cafe. Initially we came for the salmon lox which was so much better than expected. A large bagel, toasted to perfection, mascarpone cheese, fresh lemon, onions and capers. The salmon is very fresh and well-cured. Ready to be devoured. It's enough to share (or have a food (alliance). The true find is the breakfast burrito. It is sooo delicious. I wake up Sunday morning ready to go order yet another one. The bits of turkey, the egg, the spinach wrap.. wow. It's so good. Pour a little hot sauce & enjoy! Their lemonade is delicious! A must try. You can't leave without trying a pastry. Please, do yourself a favor, try the gluten free triple berry muffin. I loveee it! read more

Good coffee, ok food, way over priced. They Nickel and dime for everything. Two coffees, breakfast burrito, eggs and toast $45.?!?!

Lola's is a quaint cafe in an unsuspecting business district. I am so glad I found out about this place because their breakfast is amazing! While they have lots of great items on the menu, my absolute favorite is the toast and mascarpone and preserves. The service is the cherry on top to this experience. They're also so nice and attentive, which I have found is more and more rare these days. Kudos to Lola's! read more

Their coffee is top notch, I drive 20 minutes for their latte. I've been a few times and each time I've gotten or listened to what their main cashier/barista recommended and each time he made spot-on recommendations. It can get very busy, service can be spotty at those times (getting something that was asked for, waiting time) but the staff have been really nice & hardworking. The inside & outside areas can get very tight when they're slammed but still worth getting food & drinks to-go if the wait is too long. When it's not packed, the place is a very intimate setting. Barista recommendation: don't add sugar to the latte - if you don't like it, then add the sugar. It truly stands well on its own! read more

Food is amazing. Drink choices of coffee is wide. I love the hot Caprese sandwich. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. High recommend! read more

Minimal menu with horrible coffee and not so helpful staff. Such an opportunity but misses the mark by far.

Sooooo tasty! Great service! We usually get the Tuna Melt with Turkey Bacon! Outdoor seating is a nice bonus on a beautiful SoCal day!

Waited forever to be served at the counter. Frazzled staff, who don't know you exist. The food is average and poor value for money. Their are so many other options in Ladera I would never go back here. I have tried to give this place 3 times and always disappoints. read more

I ordered the avocado smash sandwich, but I wanted poached eggs instead of scrambled. When it can out the was one little smear of avocado, 3 small slices of old tomato, and the poached eggs were technically hard boiled. I was going to just cut my losses and leave but they wanted to fix it. So I asked if they could make poached eggs more runny and asked if they were making over the whole sandwich and they said yes. When I got it back the poached eggs that were remade better this time, was put on the old cold sandwich, and at this point the tiny smear of avocado was turning brown and the toast was cold and hard. Should have walked out after the first one. read more

Okay so I've loved coming to Lola's the last couple of years in the past but my last four or five visits have been so disappointing. The attention to detail in the quality of the food has really gone downhill. I kept coming back because I kept thinking it was a one-off but the amount of food I've paid for and thrown away due to lack of quality cant be denied. I stopped frequenting as often because the food isn't cheap and when it's prepared properly, it's worth it. I haven't been in months but today I decided to make the trek from Laguna Hills because I had a pregnancy craving for their Louis Grilled cheese. I felt that was a safe option. I picked up my takeout order and my sandwich was on GF bread like I ordered, but it was a mushy and wet sponge. The bread was hardly toasted/grilled. I've ordered this many times in the past so I know how delicious and crunchy it's supposed to be. I paid $15 for a soggy sponge "grilled" cheese. This place used to be one of my favorites, and I don't know that I am going to come back as it's no longer a worth the drive or money. read more

My wife and I ordered takeout from Lola's Cafe for the first time on July 23, 2022. We both had the egg & avo smash sandwich. It was one of the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had! Extremely fresh and flavorful. I also ordered the honey vanilla latte with almond milk which was also top notch. Excellent quality. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

Don't even hesitate on if you should visit Lola's Cafe. It is 100% worth it to go here, and you are warned, you may get addicted (as I am!). I had been recommended to go to Lola's by someone and was immediately intrigued when I looked at their online menu. Upon first driving up to the place I was amazed at how packed it was from the outside. I came on a weekday around 1PM and there were no empty tables at all. I really wanted to try the place though so I waited a little bit until a table opened up. I couldn't figure out where their menu was upon entering the place. They apparently had a menu right when you enter the door, but I did not notice. Anyway, I've been here twice now and I've been super happy both times I've been. I've tried their Avocado toast, grilled cheese, quinoa tabouli and their honey vanilla latte and their lavender Arnold Palmer. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! I'm a HUGE avocado toast fan and have eaten many of them in my life so I can be a bit hard to satisfy with them, but I loved it! Their grilled cheese is fabulous as well. It has fig jam and brie cheese in it and it's a fantastic new take on a classic. The quinoa tabouli hits the spot. It has a lot of parsley, cucumbers, tomatoes and EVOO and lemon juice. Great choice if you love quinoa and a lot of parsley! Both the latte and arnold palmer were perfect. You can really taste the lavender in the arnold palmer and it was WOW-AMAZING! Already can't wait to try more off their menu. Next It will be one of their flatbreads! :) read more

Lola's is a sweet neighborhood cafe that serves delicious food and drinks. We particularly enjoy the lox and mascarpone baguette, breakfast burritos and baked goods. We've even gotten slices of cake for birthday celebrations. We also love the independent feel. Recently that independent spirit came to light in a deeply kind gesture by the owner. When my friend couldn't find her hearing aid, he jumped in and sorted through the trash to try to find it. Lola's serves up kindness alongside delicious food in a safe environment -- a true neighborhood gem! read more

This place is cute cute cute. I was in a little bit of a rush, but would love to go back and enjoy the patio and try more of the menu. I stopped in for cold brew and also picked up the cherry bomb...a pastry that looked kind of like a croissant muffin? But that was actually filled with cream and cherry and changed my life forever because it was delicious and the way the cream exploded in my mouth...legendary. No but seriously I did have to give a shoutout to the cherry bomb pastry. The cold brew was great and I will definitely come by again to check out the food menu and relax on the patio. Thanks guys! Let's support our Lola's! read more

I really love Lola's. Our son plays basketball at the nearby sports center so we're often in the area on weekends. Love the small restaurant feel and all the homemade food. The only reason for the 4 star as opposed to a 5 is because the last few times we've been there last my chicken curry salad sandwich has been very dry and my husband's egg salad sandwich was also pretty plain. I would def go back though, I'm hoping these were just training issues or some other reason. read more

Today was my first visit and I'm already looking forward to my next. I had the Italian tuna sandwich with a side salad. I'm not sure if they make their own bread but it was delicious! The tuna tasted fresh and I loved the kalamata olives in it. The salad had a really yummy citrus dressing over baby arugula and cherry tomatoes. Can't wait to go back! read more

Always friendly service and perfect iced oatmilk lattes :) today I tried the Lola's breakfast burrito for the first time, and wow burst of flavor, perfectly made, really hit the spot! 10/10. Thank you for the friendly service and deliciously made food. read more

I love this café-definitely the best in Ladera. The crowds are a hit and a miss, but nevertheless, the food is outstanding. Try to come at the "in-between" times. Their lattes are perfect and some of the best I've had. My favorite is the honey and vanilla latte. They offer a wide variety of drinks, pastries, breakfast, and lunch. I have tried many different menu items and they are all so delicious. Most of the options are healthy. My favorite lunch order is the chicken curry sandwich-it's not overly mayo-y, tastes delicious, and has a nice crunch. Their pickles that come on the side are good too. For breakfast, I recommend the breakfast burrito; it is healthified (spinach wrap, turkey bacon, egg, sweet potato tater tots, tomatoes, and avocado). They messed up my order today, though. I asked for no cheese, and they got that correct, but then they wrapped it in a normal tortilla instead of the spinach one. The normal tortilla was greasy, buttery, and flaky-that was kind of weird. I ended up trading my second half with my friend. Update: I just tried the vegan breakfast burrito today and it was SO GOOD. It comes with quinoa, spinach, avocado, bell peppers, "cheese", and sweet potato tots. I wasn't a fan of the vegan cheese; I can't eat normal cheese in the first place. I just wanted a to-go 1/2 sandwich but you have to get it with a salad. I opted for the beet salad, and I did not like it at all. It is a higher price point-I spent $16 on breakfast and a latte. But, the service is friendly, and the interior design is cozy. read more

Tried for the first time! So yummy and amazing customer service! Had the egg bacon sandwich and added the avocado - the bacon was the perfect kind of crunchy. Delicious all around! A little on the expensive side for me but it was a nice treat! It seemed busy even for a Friday morning but I guess that's testament to the good food. On a side note - Lola's cafe also sells coffee at our school ( Bathgate) and they totally rock! I'm glad to be helping a local business! read more

Came in today for the first time and I had such a great experience. The café has a cozy, comfy vibe. The owners, Matt and Ava, are so gracious and welcoming. It's their soft opening but they have quite an extensive, impressive menu already. The coffees look amazing. They have a wide selection of mouthwatering vegan, and gluten and dairy free items. It can get pretty busy and the wait was about 20 min for our food but well worth it. Lola's Breakfast Burrito, farrow, butternut squash, beets, fresh mint and scallions salad were delicious! Can't wait to come back! Update: I've been back to Lola's numerous times since their soft opening and loved everything I had there. My favorite drink is their lavender latte. Love catching up with friends here. The owners are so kind, humble, hardworking and even find time to be involved with community support as much as possible. Great values, great service and food! read more

This café is a nice surprise. It's decorated in the white subway tile and chalkboard menu style that is very popular right now. The service was super friendly, but most importantly, the food was delicious. I had an egg salad sandwich that they happily changed to a multi grain bread instead of the white brioche. It had a hint of fresh dill. On the side, they provided what were either very interesting homemade pickles, or pickled cucumbers. The crowd was mostly women - Ladera Ranch. read more
