Lola was incredible. From food to ambiance to cocktails to service, we really had a five star experience all around. The calamari app was the perfect way to start the meal and was so crunchy and flavorful. I loved the fried zucchini in the mix too. The pasta with broccoli and sausage was a showstopper - probably my favorite thing that we tried. And then of course pizzas which were perfectly charred and cheesy. I will say that pizzas are really small, almost personal sized. We had to throw some extra on to our order. Cocktails are divine, and they have the cutest dessert menu where you can customize your own ice cream sundae with toppings. The outdoor patio seating is gorgeous, perfect for a nice summer night. I could eat at a place like this every single day and not get bored of the menu! read more

I was really hoping to like this place based on numerous recommendations. My biggest gripe is portion for price. NYC prices may be okay if the portions made sense. Some of the ingredients seem up to par for the price but overall none of the dishes quite hit the mark. The cacio e pepe was bland rather than rich and peppery. The pizza is typical wood fired pizza. Asked for "well done" but still got more chewy than crunch/crisp. Had high hopes but it just fell short on all dishes we tried across the board. Honestly the cafe side hits more of the mark than the restaurant. read more

Average food and service. Way overpriced. Staff is not friendly. Have been there several times and it never fails to leave me unimpressed.

We tried this place for the first time based on a recommendation. We experienced the worst service and they brought us a gluten free pizza, which didn't look gluten free. So I asked her if it was gluten free and she said oh oops. No it's not. This restaurant is run by teenagers that are not very experienced and don't know what customer service is. We will not make this mistake of going here ever again. read more

We love this place!!! One of our favorites in Kingston. The pasta is made on site and so is the wood stove pizza!!!! Very good Caesar salad-- I would skip the bread and cheese-- very over priced for that item. The chicken Parmesan is amazing-- it comes with that pasta I mentioned previously. Great mixed drinks and ice cream. read more

Lola has amazing authentic italian food. I saw other reviews talking about portion size - yes the portions are on the smaller side but these are handmade dishes and truly worth the cost. Our waitress Jaidyn was so friendly and gave us great recommendations!! read more

Lola accommodated a large party out on the patio. It is covered and cozy, and a great spot to dine. The food at Lola is pretty good. The portions are small. If you are vegetarian, I recommend you double check the ingredients with the staff. My friend ordered what she thought was a vegetarian pasta dish and it had meat. The service is pretty good and friendly, but can be slow during busier times. The ambience is fun and relaxed. Definitely make a reservation if he wants a table, or you can sit at the bar. I would recommend this place, but there are tons of great restaurants in Kingston. read more

Prices are astronomical for what's being served. Service was average if being generous, given our server mostly acted like she was doing us a favor by taking our order. The ceasar salad was well dressed and fresh. Main dishes were very bland (cacio e Pepe, mushroom pasta dish). I can't speak to the pizza as we didn't try any. read more

The punchline: Excellent food for a premium with average service I would go back, yes, 100% sure. Everything we had was excellent. The Brian Parma pizza was on par with pizzas I've had in Italy (notice the light touch of lemon zest), the tartufo pasta was rich flavorful and generous, the grilled artichokes were grilled to perfection with olive oil, lemon juice and aoili. That being said, prices are steep, especially the grilled artichoke at 21$. We paid 100$ for on starter, one pizza, one pasta and a soft drink. STEEP. The service was pleasant but slow, our pasta took an hour to make its way out of the kitchen. Overall, highly recommend (just cause of the food) but be wary to manage your expectations read more

Loved the ambience and the kind service!!! We were walking around Kingston and came across this great pizza restaurant. We were surprised to find the beautiful outdoor enclosed area that allows doggies. It is wonderful to be welcomed in with your furry children! This place is such a great option for a cozy meal in Kingston! We stopped by for lunch in their covered and heated patio which is also pet friendly! Indoors there is a large pizza oven that makes the space feel so homey. Service was quick and we ordered a couple dishes to share: Stracciatella - Everyone says to get this and though it's delicious you need to know what you're getting into. It's the same dough as their pizza and super filling so I'd treat it as a mini pizza or side instead of an appetizer. Tiger Paw - Amazing and loaded with toppings. I love how fluffy their crust is without being too thick or thin. Not spicy at all and a perfect balance with the cheese and pepperoni. Carbonara - Super yummy combination with malfadine pasta that really carries the sauce well and the addition of mushrooms to make the pasta even more umami. Loved this twist on the dish. Overall we were super happy with this meal and would be back to try more of their menu! read more

I never noticed this spot whenever I visited Kingston! Decided to stop by today and it was pretty tasty! I ordered the Tiger Paw and it was super tasty! They were so generous with the pepperoni! I loved the hint of honey and it wasn't super overpowering! The crust had a nice bite to it The pizza was a little salty and it was a bit on the pricier side. I wish it was a little more spicy! We got it to go, but I would definitely dine in next time and try other items on the menu! I really liked the indoor/outdoor vibe and the patio was gorgeous! read more

This is my go to place when I am up here every weekends. Even people I bring up here want to come back. Today unfortunately I was quite disappointed. My wife and I were the first customer in before it was fully seated and the last one to order food. We were left a water bottle on the table while everyone else was poured. Otherwise food was like usual WONDERFUL. we feel like there is no manager in the store. Hopefully next time we can have better experience. My wife tells me that they don't care of the service provided because people still come back for their food. I hope that is not the case. read more

We popped in for a pit stop here and were pleasantly surprised. We just looked up a pizzeria to quickly grab food not realizing it was a nicer restaurant so we were a little under dressed. But I will say the food was phenomenal. We got a table and were quickly served. The caesar salad was amazing no complaints what so ever. And the brian di parma pie I would 100% recommend. We sat in their outdoor seating which was beautiful for end of summer dining. read more

Been here a few times in the past year and have not been disappointed! Service is slow when they are super busy, but the food is fabulous. Stracciatella appetizer is delicious! No clue why this place doesn't have better reviews. I just had dinner here with a friend and both of us were so happy with our experience. The service right off the bat 5/5, I asked our waitress to space out the meals because I'm picky about the timing and sequence my food comes out in. I made sure we started with the kale Cesar and Arancinis which were both AMAZING. then we were served the rigatoni which I was between ordering and the carbonara and the waitress immediately said "order the rigatoni it's a staff favorite right now" so we did. FANTASTIC the portion size was also just great, not too much, not too little. We ended with a margarita pizza which was perfectly cooked, not sure why some reviews say it's burnt or undercooked, ours definitely was not either. It had a very satisfying crunch actually throughout the whole pie. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town. I also ordered a spagliato which isn't on the menu and it was amazing, just a Negroni topped with Prosecco or champagne. read more

I was hesitant to try this place because of the 3.5 stars; however, Lola continued to pop up in other searches online. This restaurant is proof that Yelp reviews/stars are simply opinions and they do not mean much. I have dined at places with 4 or more stars and have left disappointed. My friend and I sat at the bar, it was completely cozy and causal and beautiful! The food was exceptional, especially the pizza!!! We topped off our dinner with their gelato as well and left extremely satisfied. From ambiance to flavor, this place is a must. read more

The location is adorable. However, the service was terrible and even worse when considering the price of the dishes. $24 for a small bowl of pasta. $16 for three small meatballs. $10 for soft serve ice cream. I get it, Kingston is bougie now. But one of the food came out at the same time. One dish would be served, the person would eat, then as they were finishing someone else's would arrive. This happened three times. Sure, the food was tasty but not tasty enough. For these prices everything should be well timed and the service should be better than what we experienced. read more

Once again, a nice evening. I run a local vacation rental and send my guests to my favorite places in Kingston. Lola is among them. The food is always good and the menu has evolved to include lots of options which is great. Service can be uneven at times but I know loads of places struggle with staffing since COVID. But the best food on the planet loses its appeal quickly if the staff are inattentive or not well trained and experienced. Especially at premium prices, and for pizza, Lola is on the high end. Standouts on the staff for us are Rachel on the floor and Vlad at the bar. Professional, pleasant and friendly, they always make me feel welcome and like they are glad to see us. Rachel is present and takes her work very seriously, and Vlad cranks out cocktails quickly even when the dining room and bar are full. I hope Lola can hang onto these two stars. They are key ingredients to the experience. read more

Had dinner at Lola Pizza on Sunday evening to conclude our upstate vacation. While leaving NYC for pizza may not always be advisable, this place has a lot to offer. Quality: Started our meal with the Stracciatella, which was the highlight of dinner. Delicious wood fired bread with a nice quantity of cheese and olive oil to dip it in. Rich and creamy, every bite was great. The Tiger Paw Pizza was next, which had pepperoni, tomato sauce, provolone, mozzarella, onion, and chili honey. I felt it was a bit too much onion and not enough chili honey, but still a tasty combination of flavors. Needed it a bit crispier, but certainly a high quality pizza. The Ice Cream Sandwich was our conclusion, and while it needed to sit out a while to warm up, nevertheless it was a fun ending. Quantity: Pizza was on the smaller side, but decent portions. Value: $18 for the Stracciatella. $23 for the Tiger Paw Pizza. $10 for the Ice Cream Sandwich. Ambiance: Lola Pizza is located in Kingston, New York. It is a massive space, spanning what felt like three separate storefronts. They have you enter through an enclosed outdoor patio, which I am sure is a popular spot in warmer months. The first dining area is small, and includes a wood fire oven. I assume this was the original location. We were led through a massive kitchen and into a second dining space, which looked like a former coffee shop. Tables were very spread out, but each one filled with guests. Fun records, played in the background, lots of disco. Crowd: Reservations recommended, we were lucky to grab a table even at an odd time on Sunday evening. Service: Lots of staff making the rounds. Parking: Plenty of street parking outside, free on Sundays. read more

I'll start off with the restaurant is really cool - renovated, modern, with summery vibes. It's definitely a fun place to grab drinks at the bar and get an app. However, the drinks the night I went were pretty strong and not very enjoyable to drink IMO. We ordered the Lola colada and the strawberry cocktail. For food we ordered the stracciatella for an app and tiger paw and brat pack for pizzas. The app was just ok reminded me of a cooked pita. Cheese sauce with the stracciatella was like a rich creamy ricotta that tasted like sour cream (caution sensitive stomachs!). The pizza I wasn't really impressed with couldn't really taste the sauce and they both were really burnt - maybe its just me, but even if it's wood fired it should not be that burnt?!? The tiger paw did have some flavor due to the pepperoni and chili honey toppings but same deal with the sauce and crust. We ended up seeing our friends there and their pasta dishes looked amazing (cacio e Pepe & rigatoni alla norma). I may be back to try them, but not the pizza. For what it's worth they require masks. read more

Perhaps they took a hit during the covid years when no one was ever happy or satisfied and that's why the reviews and rating don't reflect actual current experience. True rating is 4.1 or a one bite score of 8.2. I rounded it up because I feel they have an unjust lower score then they deserve. It's the wood fire thin crust style. You know, 18 bucks for a pie and a small person can demolish the whole thing and still be hungry. If you enjoy that style of pizza then you won't be disappointed and they have plenty of varieties and toppings to make the hippest hipster happy. I am consistently disappointed by Rice balls everywhere I go. This place figured it out. Definitely worth a try. If you don't like rice balls it might not change your mind but you won't hate it either. Inside is small so in winter months it can crowd up quickly especially on weekends. During nicer weather they have a big outdoor section and it's a cool place to eat, drink and be hipster. read more
