We ordered lunch for pick up. We got a lot of food. My partner ordered the lasagna, I ordered the shrimp Parmesan, and we also ordered a side order of breadsticks, not knowing that bread already came with our dishes. Our dishes also came with a side salad. The salad was fresh, and the Italian dressing was good. The breadsticks were buttery and delicious, and we liked the sauce that came with them. It had a nice tang to it. My partner said that her lasagna was delicious. For me, the shrimp Parmesan was a little bit less successful. The linguine that it came with was good. I liked the cheese on top and the sauce that came with it was good, but I wish there would've been more of it. Also, the shrimp themselves were very good but they were way over breaded. The only way I could taste the shrimp was eating the breading separately. I would order from here again, but I would not order the shrimp Parmesan. Maybe next time I would try the lasagna or something else. For all the food we got, the price was very reasonable. Thank you. read more

I should have turned around when the counter staff failed to even acknowledge that I was standing there. I placed an order for pick up, boneless wings, garlic knots and an Italian sub. Ready in 15 minutes which was great. Unfortunately the garlic knots were missing from the order and they wouldn't deliver them or credit back my card so I have to go back to get my money back or the rest of my order. The Buffalo wings were more BBQ than Buffalo but nice and crispy and the sub bread was chewy but packed pretty well with meat and cheese. We have gotten good pizza here before but ordered a veggie lovers 9/27 and it was a disaster. The veggies need to be roasted to remove the water. The choices were great - mushrooms, peppers, broccoli, onions, etc. - but they were all veggies with high water content. The crust and sauce were delicious, but by the time we got the pizza home, the box was soggy (had to hold with both forearms to prevent collapse), the pieces were stuck to the cardboard, and the dough in the middle 2/3 tasted totally uncooked. We trimmed off the outer crust and threw away the center. Mostly unsalvageable. Had to give the toddler cereal instead; she is a pizza lover and wouldn't eat it. read more

Walked in and placed a to go order tonight and waited a few minutes, the order was given to me and I left. Once I got home, I realize that we had gotten the wrong order. I called up the store and they were very helpful in getting me the rest of my order. Me and my mother have been ordering from here for a while now with no major issues. Tonight I can honestly say we will no longer be returning. We ordered 3 large pies one being a pepperoni pie. That is what I have an issue with. The amount of pepperoni on the pie is ridiculous. I called them to ask them if they can put more on and the man said that's how they come now and hung up on me. So I called back and asked him why he hung up and he said we have more calls I just spent $62 here and this is how I was treated. He further began to say if I wanted more pepperoni I should've asked. And I told him he should let people know only 1.5 pepperoni came on each slice. We have been going to Picnic Pizza for years. Loved their Caesar salad as it had great dressing, shaved parm and nice croutons. Ordered today and all we got was yellow romaine lettuce, a package of Ken's dressing and no croutons. Also always request well done pizza as we love the brick oven finish. They have changed their sausage and the pizza was wet in the middle. Far from well done. After years of going here, never again. Very very disappointed. read more

Giving this a 4-star rating because I've liked Picnic Pizza for years and it was my Dad's go-to place! Always hot and fresh, not too doughy, etc. However...I wanted to share some feedback with them and there is no way to do that without calling. Their website seems to be non-existent and their FB page doesn't accept Messages. So...I'm posting here just to let them know that I had the White Spinach pizza last night and there were two things wrong with it (IMO). First...it had red sauce on it, making it not white. And second, it had soooooo much raw garlic on it that I found it to be almost unedible. No one needs that much garlic. No amount of mouthwash or toothpaste could get rid of the taste so I woke up with the strong taste of garlic still in my mouth. Just knock the raw garlic down a bit (and don't use red sauce on a white pizza) and I'm sure it's fine. All of that being said, I still recommend the place and I'll go back. read more

They about 4 group inside when we were there and continuous stream of customers in and out during the whole 1/2 hrs we are there They have more than 15 different pizza flavor to choose from for slices. We choose Eggplant tomatoes and chicken ranch which come with a medium size of drink. . I was skeptical as they put our chosen slices to their giant oven but They re-heat our slices to melty cheesy goodness. One order of wings cooked well with mild sauce and extra blue cheese. it cost me 40 dollars and I received a small pie and the wings were not cooked well with a packed of Paul Newman blue cheese! I was excited to visit this place since it came from a recommendation from a fellow Kingston resident as " the best pizza ever". Looked forward to it but instead was helped by a very rude owner; never even welcomed , and only spoken to when it was time to pay. Not even a thank you or have a good night. Customer service is a must and I would not return here ever based on how rude they are. Stay away if you actually want to feel welcomed! Best find of the road trip! Well worth the very slight detour off 87 in Kingston. Five of us sampled the gourmet and regular pizzas offered. Large delicious slices served up by two friendly fellas. Don't let the inexpensive pricing fool you... there was nothing cheap about the quality of the food! The pizza is fine but they have the absolute worst customer service. Every time I've been in there the ignore you forever until you're practically begging to place an order. Then they act like you're inconveniencing them. Typically that's a good sign that the pizza is good but it's just meh. They are also very openly homophobic/transphobic and conservative. This used to be my favorite pizza place since moving up here in 2007. I did have a disappointing slice or pie here and there, but not enough to stay away. I have been seriously disappointed with the last 3 takeaway orders - completely soggy pizza; top-heavy pizza that slid right off the whole crust; and a large half-pepperoni pizza with very little pepperoni and only on 2 slices. Tonight, I dined in. First of all, it's a bad sign if the bathroom doesn't have supplies to properly wash and dry your hands. Our order of fried calamari was significantly smaller than usual, even compared to takeout. Our waitress brought over dirty plates and when we asked for new plates, she apologized and brought over more dirty plates. The pizza was a soggy, soppy mess. We didn't finish the pizza, so we asked for a box. Our waitress brought it over, and then put it on top of our leftover pizza, then walked away.
