Stopped by for lunch and a couple drinks after a lovely hike in the Catskills. We sat outside on a Friday afternoon with our pup. Service was fast and friendly. Couldn't decide between 2 pizzas, so we got both. The crust is AMAZING. Our salad was tasty with the freshest ingredients- perfect size for an app. The beer and cider was tasty as well. Would def come back for another experience.

Great brewery with solid beer and mixed drinks plus a variety of tasty looking food options. Basic brewery atmosphere but that adds to charm. Worth a visit.

Immediately, this should be called 'Kingston Standard Brewing AND Oysters'. This is another find all thanks to hubs when one Saturday evening noticed a painted "Beer & Oysters" wooden small sign with an arrow resting on the sidewalk. This is how Kingston does. The oysters instantly grabbed me. And while I've never liked beer, this is one of the few breweries I've been to that has oysters in their menu. I was also here to support hubs' craft beer fixation. We arrived to find ourselves in a spacious parking lot, whitewashed brick exterior, tons of seating outside and lots of seating indoors. The minimalist white paint follows inside. While not the most grand for oyster variety, their only selection makes up for it- especially for a brewery. My Rosé kicked ass and the Margherita pie was out of this world. The tomato sauce is how it should be: plain tomato sauce without any seasoning. The dough is thin and the crust is fluffy with a wonderful chew. The basil was glorious and the cheese, equally. Our Arugula salad with pickled red onions and shaved Parmesan was dressed delicately with no hint of mustard. The menu is done super simply- but mannnn, is it delicious! Hubs, loved their Lager and others after that. Order at the counter, keep your tab open if you want to, then your order is brought to you. Service is pleasant. Taking into account our overall Kingston S. experience, this makes it a prime spot for a light lunch/light dinner. Hubs was all in for the brewski. So they don't have a gazillion oyster variety, but their New Brunswick Canada oysters we had, were all the rave. WOW. That was my first word that entered my mind after we had digested our food and thoughts on a Friday night at this sensational spot.

A little brewery in upstate New York. I had the pretzel and it was quite tasty. The beer selection is interesting and the ones I had were delicious. I liked the simple and rustic appearance and it had a nice vibe. I definitely recommend.

The beer is really good. The pizza is also really good. The ambiance? I can't quite figure it out. I really want to like this place, but the ambiance just doesn't fit with the beer and the food. Too sterile? No character? The only reason it is a 4 star is due to the ambiance.

Good beer - fun space with indoor and outdoor seating options. Order at counter they bring to the table- pizza was delish!

I work in this town, & I don't get to enjoy these little gems that have popped up in recent years. So my husband & I spent the afternoon hitting up a few new ones, ans some we have frequented. This was a new spot for us. 1st of all, the young staff couldnt be nicer. Even after we got our beer, we asked questions about the menu & the ladies where very informative. We had the pepperoni pizza, which is thin crusted & really tasty. I had the Rauchbier, smoky German lager, delicious, my husband had the Kolsch&enjoyed. It's a nice, white walla, clean place with outdoor seating as well. We will be coming by here again on our motorcycles with our friends when the weather gets better. A great place to stop for a quick snack&beer

Awesome selection and quality of both beer and food, which is amazing to find at any brewery! Staff were very nice. Cozy, local ambiance. I liked that they had a good selection of non-beer beverages too including wine and na. Can't wait to visit this summer and try a lobster roll!

Not worth the hype. I ordered the pepperoni pizza ($17 - check the miniscule size in the photo next to a fork) and a beer pack of 4 ($15 for some mighty small beers). Total price with tax: $34.56. The pizza was incredibly thin with a smattering of teeny tiny pepperonis on it. It tasted blah and a little burnt. I didn't take the time to see the price of the beer or I would have left it behind. The beer tasted just ok and there are plenty of IPA's in the area to compare to. The only good thing was that the order came out fast. This was my first visit to this place and probably my last. Just like the market next door, it is yet another indication of overpriced product for the area. I'm sure out-of-towners are pleased as punch with this little smack of gentrification in Kingston and maybe the oysters are so fabulous they make up for the lack of quality elsewhere, but I'm not impressed. I'm so disappointed with this place because it's in my neighborhood.

Wifey saw this place written up in the NYT back in June and we decided to give them a try since we're in Kingston today. Place is your typical local brewery where you can both sample and drink the beers they make and you can get 4-packs to go. Put out some games, offer nice clean seating, provide good beer and you have a winner. They also have a small food menu if you need to eat. I was hoping for more of a stout, but the Schwartzbier was pretty good and Wifey liked the Pale Ale. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/28/nyregion/kingston-ny-restaurants.html

Delicious beer, check. Perfect pizza, check, comfortable atmosphere, check. This place checks off all the boxes for a 5 star review and then some. We came here on a perfect blue bird fall day for a little lunch and drinks. I can't help myself when I come here and always end up getting the oysters and pizza. It's always spot on and goes with any draft beer they have in season. Do your self a favor and make sure to stop in on your way through town to pick up some beers to go or grab a table with friends and enjoy the day.

Great beer and great pizza! We stopped here on a road trip from MD to VT. Our server was awesome and was obviously working so hard to keep service quick and high quality. A hidden gem for sure! The price of the beer was also a welcome sign. $6 a pint! We come from a very heavily saturated brewery scene in FL, and most beers are 7-8$. I was just pleasantly surprised to see $6 pints especially in NY! Pizza was thin, crispy and so so yummy. My family is from NY, And it was not NY pizza by a stretch, butttt they did a great job making it artisanal style with those classic NY elements, thin crust, flavorful, great cheese.

Checked out Kingston Standard on the recommendation of a local business owner. It was late on a Saturday so the place was quiet. We were greeted as we walked in and grabbed a table by the window. Cool industrial feel to the place and looks like some nice outdoor seating for warmer weather days and nights. I'm an IPA guy so not a ton of beers in my wheelhouse but tasty selection. The star was their red that sounds like one of their original recipes. They have a small food offering but we had eaten already for the night. We did order a soft pretzel to meet the NYS food requirement and it was fine. Very clean place, some merch offerings if you want a tee shirt. They are a block off of Broadway in Kingston with their own parking lot. Super friendly staff.

My favorites were the Marzen, which was like a light and crisp Oktoberfest, and the Rauchbier, which possessed an unique smokiness.

After we walked in one of the waitresses informed us that we can sit wherever we want. I instantly felt like I was inconveniencing her with my presence by the way she said it. Didn't take it personal just yet. What appeared to be the hostess came over a few minutes after we sat down and handed us menus that were very dirty. I looked at my husband and said I am ready to walk out of this place bc I am starving and it looks like they are too short staffed right now which is understandably out of a businesses control sometimes. But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. That's when we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. So unprofessional. That couldn't wait? I hate to leave a review like this, but if I was the owner of this business, I would not want someone like that working for me, representing what seems to be a great place.

The Japanese clothing retailer is scarily on point and while Sharkie's isn't mentioned by name, if you know of any other prominent meatball merchants in the heart of Woodstock, please promptly let me know. My current go-to is the "Create Your Meatballs with Veggies Bowl." The roasted eggplant ($5.15 per scoop) is superb, especially with the default marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella ($2.58). You can't go wrong with the beef & pork or the turkey meatballs ($6.18 for 2 of the same kind). Chicken meatballs and chickpea vegan balls available too. The only downside is that it can get zoo-like at peak times, but the wait usually isn't too bad. Sharkie's has a bar and three tables so it's not huge. But the easygoing and helpful staff are standouts and handle the crowds with aplomb. Sharkie's has a little grocery store next door with a lot of local foods and frozen meatballs if you want to recreate the Sharkie's experience at home. Bring cash or a debit card for a discount!
