I was SO excited about Lola coming over to this side of town. Whenever I went downtown I loved going to Lola because they were so consistent with their lattes and the people who worked there were so nice and so awesome. My husband and I went maybe the 3rd day it was open and one of the girls working there was maybe having a bad day because she wasn't nice. The mask mandate is open in Arizona so we don't think about putting on our mask all the time so we walked in without one and she had to yell across the room to put a mask on instead of a good hospitable barista asking nicely. This adorable place is located in the same plaza with Fry's and I've passed by it a few times when doing my shopping. This past Sunday, I had some extra time between errands and decided to stop in. Most of the tables were occupied, even those outside, but there is plenty of space between them and it was very clean. There was no line when I went in and the girl behind the counter was quick to greet me. I told her it was my first time there and asked a few questions, and she was friendly and helpful, which I appreciate as someone who generally visits the "big box" coffee shops. I settled on an iced Matador, which she described as a cinnamon mocha and after much internal debate over the assorted pastries, a chocolate croissant. I found a table outside to enjoy my treats and dug right in. The coffee was good - rich, deep espresso flavor with a chocolatey finish. I couldn't really taste the cinnamon, which was only a slight disappointment because I was hoping for a sort of Mexican hot chocolate (with coffee and ice) flavor. The whip cream on top was tasty - maybe infused with cinnamon and chocolate based on the color - and I found myself scooping it up with a straw to not miss a bit of it. The croissant, which she did heat up for me, was Ahhhhhmazing. Flaky, chewy, dark chocolatey goodness, with a slight cocoa powder dusting that melted in my mouth. I have tried more than a few chocolate croissants and many places miss the mark, but not Lola's. They also have healthy options, like hardboiled eggs and yogurt, so if you're not feeling particularly gluttonous, or you just completed a workout at the gym across the street, it's still a solid choice. If you're into supporting your local small businesses, make a stop here and you won't regret it. read more

The Caramel Latte is amazing! Comes with 4 shots (as it should) and not over sweet. Made just right! Service is super good. In this day in age unfortunately good service is becoming extinct. Our family has been coming here for years. They have pretty good coffee and great breakfast burritos. The ambience is really nice. It's clean and we have always had great service. This is the worst coffee shop I have been to in a long time. The Peoria/Glendale coffee scene is already in shambles, but this place makes it even worse. I was met with the strong scent of Fabuloso and chemicals when I walked in. The barista did not know what type of beans were used for espresso. There's a lot of weird dead space in the middle of the shop and a terrible condiment station. Places like this make me hate the Phoenix suburbs. Place is pretty gross. It smelt funny when we walked in. The bathroom is nasty. The soap is in a squeeze bottle- paper towel roll is just sitting on the dispenser, and it smelt bad. We got 3 cupcakes in a box. They must have been a week old. They were hard as a rock. My daughters cookie was ok, not great. She didn't even finish it. My Cappuccino was not good at all. $20 lesson that hopefully saves someone else from this place. read more

We are new to the area and I wanted to love this place so much! Unfortunately, my latte had almost no foam, and the espresso tasted bitter. I was going to leave it be but my husband insisted we ask for another. The employees were nice, but I don't think they understood what he was saying. She brought me a new latte and said she added "extra foam like a cappuccino." I didn't ask for a cappuccino but no biggie. But alas the coffee was still very bitter. First, you can't find their phone number anywhere. I had to dig through their web site to find one number for a different location to ask for the number to this one. They weren't friendly about it either. Second, this location isn't even on their web site. Who runs this place? Third, I call at 11:54am to order a burrito for pick up. The kitchen is supposed to close at noon. At 11:54, with plenty of that fake toned "we have a nice tone of voice but really don't care to help you" voice they say they can't make me a burrito and the kitchen is closed. I love supporting other small businesses as I'm a small business owner myself. I have tried visiting the Glendale location, as I work in the same shopping center. I've been there 4 times & the first 2 times were ok. Not over friendly but I enjoyed the coffee. 3rd time I walked in at 9:40am and no one around the counter, and no one even came out from the back or wherever they were. I waited over 8 minutes and decided they didn't want my business. I decided last week, I would give them another try. I waited patiently- same thing no one behind the counter. I kept waiting after 5 minutes someone came out from the back (guy) walked right past me to a table to speak to a lady on her computer, then walked right back by to the back. No hello, I'll be with you. Nothing! Then a girl walks out from the back and right past me and says nothing. This was 9:50 an. At that point I decided they just don't want my business. I'll go somewhere that does. We have a lot of choices for coffee that appreciate their customers. read more
