I was shown to a table that hadn't been fully wiped off, with spilled sauce and crumbs on the table and litter and crayons on the floor beside it. When I pointed this out, some minutes went by before the hostess came by and, in one swipe, pushed the crumbs and detritus off the table--and onto my lap! I brushed myself off without her making a comment. I should have left then, but the rest of the evening was fine, with good food and friendly service from the waitress. read more

This is quite possibly the smallest Logan's I've ever been to, which isn't necessarily a problem, but compared to its competitors like Texas Roadhouse it's just sad. It was so small, in fact, they had no high chairs for our daughter. The next issue is that there are plastic bags over the exit and some windows, and the booth we sat in, was not only falling apart, but there was cold air rushing in. It's freezing cold outside and we had to stuff coats behind us to keep the draft from making us freezing. The food was fairly good, but the food someone else in my party ordered was completely raw and the waitress made a fuss about it when we requested it be cooked more. I don't know, I don't plan on ever going back - especially to that location. read more

Our first time at this location, we stopped on the way home from Autorama in Detroit. Decent wait time, and we got right in. They have the BEST peach tea!! Appetizers spot on, ordered onion rings, and tater skins. Steak all around for us, the meat had a good flavor and was done to perfection. The sides were good. Our server, Abby, was awesome! She was at our table and checking with any needed items. I would definitely recommend eating here! read more

Came here because my in-laws had just eaten at Texas Roadhouse a few days prior. After eating here, I definitely prefer Texas Roadhouse. My food was good, everyone else said the same about their food. I wish there were more sandwich & chicken options. Menu just seemed a little lacking. The service was good and fast, we came early to miss the dinner rush and it worked out perfectly. Overall it was decent, but personally I'd go elsewhere for options and overall taste. read more

When we first got there, the nicest kid seated us, why they took the four of us to a booth and then set three people at the big table is beyond me, but OK whatever. Our waitress was also the bartender, I wished I would've gotten her name, what an absolute living doll!!! She was spot on with everything. She hustled her fanny off. We could hear her talking to other customers, and she was just an absolute joy. Towards the end of our meal, the manager walked by and asked how everything was and we were like oh good...we didn't wanna be bothered. We are in the middle of a conversation so once we had a space in a moment I said to our waitress, could you have the manager come back over to our table? She was like is there a problem? I said no not at all. Not with you. You are an absolute doll. Couple minutes later here comes the manager. I said I just wanted to let you know our waitress has gone above and beyond she is spectacular. She's a phenomenal bartender. Everybody in here is enjoying her. She has hustled her butt off and could not be more of an asset to you. You would think that would've made her happy but she was agitated. You could literally tell it bothered her that we liked her as much as we did. I then proceeded to tell her somebody needs to clean the girls bathroom and I'm not talking about just picking up. I'm talking about a toilet that the inside was so black I had to hold my granddaughter up off of the toilet to pee into it because it was as if it hadn't been cleaned in six months. Pour some damn bleach in there I had the 12 ounce prime rib. It was actually very very good but it was as thin as I'd say a quarter inch, my daughter and I both got the baked potato. I was like why is it yellow? My daughter goes oh they always look like that, it was not completely done and the coloring bothered me so I brought it home. I just now heated it up. It didn't get any softer and it still taste like crap! The broccoli was so crunchy we didn't finish it and I'm literally just disgusted with the entire situation. Logan's in Southgate is good but not great. My husband and I went for Easter dinner there. We ordered, battered mushrooms, steak, mashed potatoes, and corn. There were also biscuits, which are complementary. I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered a beer. The blueberry blues should've been served with a wedge of lime, and it was not.mushrooms were a bit overcooked. There were not enough employees. Wait staff was constantly running around the dining room. They seemed to be overwhelmed. We will try going back another time when it's not a holiday to see if service is any better. read more

We are not new to Logans. Tonight we had the teriyaki chicken, and while it was moist, it was flavorless. This is the first time we have ordered a dessert there too. We got the key lime cheesecake. It was neither cheesecake or keylime. I am not sure if the cake was old, but it was simply awful. It almost tasted a bit curdled on the top layer. My suggestion is to not get that. I used to order the upsale side of zucchini and mushrooms. They used to be good when served with the beef skewer. But now that there is no beef skewer, I think they premake it and nuke it once ordered which makes both items mushy. The people there are always nice and pleasant while taking our order. But the food has lost its appeal for us. If you get green beans, I would guess the brand is Del Monte. I can serve that at home. read more

Came in tonight (Friday 2/20) and were surprised to have a 20 minute wait (but totally didn't mind) because this is where we ALWAYS come instead of other local steak places because there's almost never a wait, even on weekends. While we waited I read the recent reviews of this location on Google and they were NOT GOOD. We come here often so I was surprised, but... I get it now. We were seated in the back of the bar area at 6:27 (I know from the waitlist text). Our super cheerful, very friendly server came shortly after and took our drink orders that we got promptly. Then we waited, and waited. Not sure how long but it was at least 15 minutes before our order was taken. So we're getting close to 7 now. She took our orders and we had noticed she was not only our server but she was what appeared to be the ONLY bartender and I didn't see her get a break from that at all. I'm not even sure when she placed our order because she was stuck back there filling drink orders. But.. we weren't in a hurry and knew they were busy and probably understaffed because I overheard her tell someone she didn't normally bartend on Fridays. So let's say we're at 7pm now after placing our orders. We waited and waited. We watched our server and another server or 2 try and desperately keep up with whatever was going on. About 730ish (we still hadn't gotten the soups and salad) we'd watched all the servers moods slowly decline over that 45ish minutes we'd been there. A table of 8 or more seated after us received their meals and I saw 2 or 3 meals sent back immediately. The employees were getting more flustered. An hour or more after we ordered, our food came out, we hadn't gotten salad or soups, the sides and steaks were "warm" but definitely not anything near hot... so as someone with serving experience I assume while our poor server was stuck glued to the bar, a runner or manager or SOMEONE should've been responsible for bringing the food out while she did that. All 3 of the steaks ordered medium were well done but i kept mine because i dont mind it, but my husband and son WONT eat steak that done especially for the price and after waiting all that time. So those 2 had to be sent back.. which we HATE doing especially since we knew how hard the girls were working. Our server immediately returned to the bar to continue THAT job and informed another employee that she needed our 2 steaks remade. By then they'd run out of the 12 Oz ribeyes originally ordered so they were replaced with 16 Oz ribeyes (that's not a complaint just a bit of info). Or enthusiastic, cheerful server by this time was clearly stressed and overwhelmed. I watched another server take a moment to try and take a breath, have a quick cry, gather herself, and get right back to it. The remade steaks came out great and fresh as usual... we eat here often and everything is usually spot on. When we got our check after being there for 2 hours, we were genuinely surprised that there hadn't been any kind of discount or like offer of dessert on the house, but mostly because no manager or whoever had come to check in or anything. We don't complain EVER, but the few times we have had issues at a restaurant someone "in charge" comes by the table to bring the remade food or comes by to make sure things are good. We didn't need an apology or discount but it was surprising because there should've been someone there helping these employees out. A manager, whoever. And we didn't see anyone helping them AT ALL. And please don't take this as a complaint about ANY of the servers. They were great. We watched them for 2 hours and they did their best. I'm not complaining that we paid full price or didn't get free dessert (I only mentioned that because I'm surprised with all the wait and issues normally manager will come by the table) because everything was great as usual, when it was right. I felt the need to post this because as I said above, while we waited to be seated I read recent reviews of the place and we've never experienced any issues like that but tonight it was pretty messy. And it's NOT on the servers. Idk if it's new cooks, or the normal cooks not caring what they send out or how long food sits waiting... if it's runners or whoever not pitching in to deliver food when it's ready or helping out with starters like the soups and salad we never got, or lack of management but ya'll got a mess on your hands. We went to Logan's to celebrate a birthday. We had a larger party. Having been a server in the past you either needed someone with lots of experience or 2 servers on a party of 20. The food was great and he didn't mess up any orders. BUT..... the service was slow we were never offered refills on sodas or asked if we wanted 2nd bar drinks. My salad was swimming in dressing and they ran out of croutons for half of them. Our appetizer plates were never cleared, other tables had water pitchers ( that would have been nice) and we were help hostage for 30 minutes trying to pay because he was overwhelmed. I would go back but with a smaller party. Not a place to go with a large party I take some responsibility for coming with that many people. Again food was good and so was my 1 cocktail....service was subpar. We only got one round of bread with our meal :( read more

Truly every Logan's food keeps getting worst and worst and worst. At least the bread and steak still taste the same. Fries did not have flavor. Corn is just corn . Steak was a true medium well. I've been going to Logan's for years. Mostly great food and service. My wife once worked there also my sister years ago. As of the last 4 months I haven't been back and don't plan on it. On my anniversary there was a seating issue which was not our faults and we were not aware about it. After being seated with our new born I was approached my a manager named Aaron Bennet. He rudely told us to get up. We were confused and he said we can't sit ourselves. We explained that we didn't and the waitress told us to sit here. He proceeded to call us liars and removed us from the seats. I respected his decision even though he was wrong and was rude I obliged but I did attempt to have a civil conversation with him as he was escorting my family to the front door. An argument started between him and myself, he was very rude and aggressive and even stepped in my face and insulted me. It took everything not to match his immaturity at that moment and I took the high road. I proceeded to leave with my family after speaking with his people leader briefly. My wife was very upset because she knew people that worked there and managers. I decided to call corporate. Which I've never done in all my years of visiting restaurants. Logan's needs to take a serious look at management personnel and leadership capabilities before making the decision to put someone in the position. If I was a hot head that could have turned really bad. Needless to say I won't be back after that experience. read more

Well this past Sunday I decided to order something a little different, and was kinda disappointed. I ordered the Grilled Chicken & Shrimp meal. The chicken was good. The shrimp was ok. It didn't have very much flavor/seasoning. It was just grilled shrimp on a skewer. I guess I thought it would have some Peppercorn sauce on it like the chicken did. I ordered a caesar salad and sweet potato fries for my 2 sides. The salad was good...can't really mess that up, and the sweet potato fries were awesome! They were thin but not quite shoestring thin, and they were crispy...sweet...delicious! I love them them. I probably should've just asked from double sweet potato fries and no shrimp! Ok...the worst part of the dish? The rice! O...M...G...it was terrible! It came with the dish. I think I had 2 bites of it and that was enough. It's reminiscent of boxed rice, but about 2X worse! Worst customer service ever. So my wife and u and some friends decided it was steak night, we get to the place and of course it's packed so we put our names in and decide to go to the bar area for a drink while we are waiting. Wife orders a drink np, I order a drink based on a long Island but made with whiskeys, the exact same recipe drink they sell across the street at bubbas mind you. The bartender informs me she can't sell me that drink because it's to much alchohol!! Even though they sell it across the street mind you. Ok so I order a drink off the menu only I ask her to cut the sour mix to half sour and half soda water, easier on the tummy. Nope can't do that. Frustratingly I settled on a margarita that comes with a tequila rocker, I am not a huge fan of tequila so I said to her just swap the tequila for Rum. Nope they can't do that, that was the final straw , u just took soda water and told them they suck as a bar. We just scratched that place went down to outback instead. Ordered the same drink I tried to order from Logans, bartender didn't bat an eye and made my drink perfectly.
