The space itself is beautifully designed, with a relaxed, low-key atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The pistachio pesto pasta completely wowed me the first time I tried it--rich, fresh, and unique. On my second visit, the garlic flavor was a bit stronger than I expected, but I'm confident it was just a one-off and look forward to enjoying it again. I enjoyed sitting at the bar which is to the right when you walk in. The bartender was professional and pleasant. The menu is interesting as you can visually see everything as you click through the pages. I had two cocktails: one that was floral and sweet and the other was smoked with mezcal. I enjoyed them both. The Vault is a craft cocktail lovers dream with their unique creations. I ordered dessert to go which was flavorful. I'd like to return for dinner. What a charming find while visiting Wyandotte! This was an old bank turned restaurant hence the name. Attentive staff, great hospitality. The food was delish: we had the mushroom bolognese and the wagyu steak. Their drinks were the main show however with great recommendation by our waitress. read more

I met a friend for a late lunch and at 2:45 there were a few tables still lingering. I started with oysters, as did my friend. The mignonette is the perfect accompaniment. I had waited to order a cocktail, and went with Pear and the Bull. So refreshing and light. Loved it! For our main courses we decided to get two handheld and two kinds of fries/sides. I got the sliced beef sandwich with sidewinder fries. My friend got the $10 waygu burger and polenta fries with garlic aeoli. All were delicious. The burger melted in your mouth. The steak on the sandwich was tender. Polenta fries were the best! Our server suggested creme Brule, but we had no room for dessert. read more

My wife and I spotted this restaurant and decided to make a go of it. The place used to be a bank back in the day. The place was stylish. We were greeted and seated promptly. Very pleasant. Our waitstaff displayed the tablets for drinks, then, the appetizers and entrees. It took a moment to get used to maneuvering through it. We ordered our drinks. When she came back we were ready to order. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and Calamari as well for the apps. The first one was fabulous but we didn't like the calamari that much. While we were waiting for entrees, the waitress brought over a couple of mixed drinks for us to try (they were introducing a couple cocktails for the spring) - they were very good and it was a nice touch. The entrees arrived and they were well worth the wait. My wife had the Dover Sole Amandine - very flaky, delicious. My Tomahawk came out perfectly - medium rare. I'm sorry but this place HAS to do better on their food. We had a party of 8 for my daughter's birthday and the service was amazing, our wait staff was focused and attentive. The food ruined the night....i overheard an older gentleman, who stopped by to ask how things were, say after sitting and tasting a dish set before he and what appeared to be his wife say that "the presentation was too sweet"! Well someone in the kitchen is very fond of sweet, because nearly every dish was beyond over powering in sweetness, except the filet which was heavily over seasoned and salty. To say that we spent a good amount on an 8 top with drinks apps and entrees is an understatement. So very disappointing for my daughter's birthday. Also, the Friday evening lack of crowd should have given us a clue as to the problems looming. The lighting was so bright we all commented on how the beauty of the interior was masked by the brightness. This is a very solid restaurant. I celebrated my 3 years with my fiance. This is a very upstanding restaurant that checks and makes sure you are enjoying your food. I recommend the wagyu steak and the surf and turf. Even the non alcoholic cocktail "The God Mother" was sublime. The food is phenomenal. Juicy. Fresh. But expensive. This is a place you come to every few years. They don't label the menu prices. But it ultimately didn't stop me and my partner from enjoying our experience. I know this place is regularly booked to capacity on weekends and holidays, but my fiancee made a reservation here on a Wednesday night (my birthday!) and we enjoyed a quiet, intimate dinner. The steaks were cooked perfectly (his med rare, mine med) to our liking, and the sides were very flavorful. He got the surf and turf and I told the server and the owner both that it was some of the sweetest lobster I'd ever had. I appreciate that the owner floats around to check on guests and chat. Very personable guy. Our server was kind, funny, and attentive. We look forward to our next meal here, and would certainly be back just to sit at the bar and grab a drink. We visited The Vault on a Tuesday night, celebrating my birthday. We made reservations and we're seated right as we got there. They have a great menu, and we decided to have the arancini as an appetizer. It was delicious. The fry on it was great and it was very flavorful. For dinner we chose to do the tenderloin Tuesday special for dinner. It came with soup and salad for each of us, and 4 sides. I chose the poached pear salad and my boyfriend chose the soup. My boyfriend enjoyed his soup, and my salad was excellent; the toppings on the salad were really well balanced and the dressing was delicious. We chose the broccolini, asparagus, garlic & cheese polenta fries, and potato Jennie for our sides. We both ordered the steak medium rare. The steaks were excellent. They were cooked perfectly and expertly seasoned, which most places can't seem to do. The veggies were good, and so was the potato Jenni. The polenta fries were awesome - defiantly the winner out of all the sides. For dessert I got the creme brûlée and my boyfriend got the turtle brownie cheesecake. Bother if them were outstanding. The service was stellar. Our waiter made sure our glasses were full, that we were happy with our orders and explained anything we asked. Fiancée and I stopped in for a late dinner this evening. We we greeted by the sweetest hostess who helped us to a booth. The digital menus we were provided are exceptionally useful- as it was our first time dining in, the ability to select a plate and be able it see its presentation was much appreciated. He had a wagyu burger topped with cheddar cheese and mushrooms with the twisted fries- cooked perfectly. I would have been jealous except I I had ordered the Walleye Denny preceded with a poached pear salad with bleu cheese crumbles, candied walnuts and a vinaigrette. The walleye so lightly panfried and topped with a lemon butter caper sauce and served atop whipped mashed potatoes and haricots verts. There is absolutely a reason this dish is a best-seller. If you haven't tried it, please do. You will not be disappointed. Finally, the service. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, there was nothing but warm greetings and too-notch service. Chris was our server and anticipated everything we needed. In fact, the staff at this establishment works seamlessly as a team. Any time a drink was to be refilled, a plate was finished and set to be cleared, another server or member of the waitstaff was right on queue. When we showed up this place was very elegant, you really feel the fine dining experience. We had reservations at 6 pm and we were seated right away when we showed up. Within 5 minutes we had our drinks, appetizers, food and sides all ordered. I'm ordered a drink called the "Gold Medal" which is their version of the Old Fashioned and it is amazing. It has great flavors of cinnamon, raspberries, oranges and you can definitely taste the bourbon, they use an aged Makers Mark, it is PHENOMENAL. Soon after came out the Thai Brussels Sprouts. They are also amazing, it has flavors of honey, sea salt, maybe a hint of maple syrup it was VERY delicious. It is a definite must try if you love Brussel Sprouts Shortly after they brought out a bread basket & a Caesar Salad. The bread basket was very good but was not going to fill up on bread while I'm here and the Caesar is very crisp and the dressing tasted very fresh. Then came our main courses, I had the Tomahawk Pork Chop and I have to say it amazing!!!! The pork chop had so much flavor and it was able to be cut in one slice with the knife, it was very juicy and just the taste was fulfilling and the mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables paired well with the Pork Chop. All in all, this dining experience was Exquisite and our waiter, Kyle, was the most amazing person, he was fast, courteous, knowledgeable and just an overall great person. We decided to spend the evening in Wayndotte. We just love this little downtown area! The Vault was on our list of places to check out because they have fabulous happy hour specials. It was a Weds evening and not super busy so we were able to come in and get seats at the bar. We looked over the menus a bit and he started with some bourbon and then went with scotch for his second drink. I got a couple of pretty cocktails. I love a pretty cocktail and they have a variety! We split the burger. We were sure at first as it didn't look like anything special, but was cooked perfectly and was juicy and delicious. Definitely recommend you try it. We had a fantastic time. Had an appetizer of the Castlevetranno olives which was incredible and plenty for 4. I had the meal of the waygu burger, side of fries, and a caeser salad. All fabulous and would highly recommend. Others in the party had the NY strip dinner and a baked potato, steak frites, and wild mushroom bolognese with steak and everyone raved about their meals. Last night we ordered a Surf and Turf; 6 oz filet and lobster tail. When the bill came, we were shocked to see the price was $120 for one surf and turf... Having been to Ocean Prime, Chop Houses, and Duo at the 4 seasons in Maui... with filets being wagyu beef, this quality of food clearly did not compare. The filet was cooked "ok" no flavor.... My lobster tail was black on the edges and had a burnt taste to it. I didn't say anything because I just figured oh well, I won't order this here again. Not imagining how much it was going to be. So as you can guess, I was shocked to see the price when the bill came. If you do try this place, make sure to ask what the market price is. Also, look how they charged us for a dirty martini. $9 for vodka, $5 to add the dirty, & $2 dollars for blue cheese olives. I'm giving it 2 stars because our waitress was very personable. read more

I've tried to like this place. I live here in Wyandotte and just can't get past the exorbitant pricing (for what you get), and the service in the restaurant has been below average. The bar service is extraordinary, and sometimes we grab something at the bar. They have a bar burger that is great either these amazing potato crisps, and there is a mid-week special for it. The drinks are great and the bartenders are super educated with their offerings and have recommended some great ones to try. Especially love the Brown Butter Old Fashioned. Crazy good!!! So, dining room....no, bar, yes, especially in the summer when they open the doors up to the front sidewalk. read more
