Had breakfast, we had an issue with one of the over easy eggs it definitely didn't look like yolk and when we cut it open it of course ran into the food we were not going to eat it. No complaints. Pretty solid diner type spot! They have American breakfast items and the standard sandwiches and other diner type fare. The atmosphere was comfortable and the bar area was clean. Service was friendly, and efficient. I will probably go back, it's not too far off from other spots like this. I can't think of anything specific or special that they offered. read more

When u first walk in you can tell it's an old style diner which is nice to see that they still exist, not very packed which to me is a plus, I know people say a packed house means it's good but it really doesn't all the time. They were fast and reliable on bringing coffee and making sure we never stayed empty. I had the Steak & Eggs, which was just okay but I can't really complain over $12 Steak and Eggs, it wasn't bad but a little tough to cut and I think mainly it's because the steak knife wasn't sharp at all. The eggs were very delicious & the hash browns were nice and crispy. Overall it was a good breakfast spot, definitely would like to come back and try an omelette. read more

Outstanding Chicken Tandoori OMG, those Mega Chicken Leg's well over a pound. Perfect balance of Indian spice on a bed of Peppers and Onions on a sizzling platter. We had a great breakfast here recently and decided to try it for dinner on a Monday night. I was very hesitant to go in because we were the only customers but I was tired and figured what the hell. Evidently we had missed the dinner rush. I had a delicious piece of walleye with a baked potato and salad and my husband had the perch with beef barley soup and onion rings. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. I had zero expectations on the walleye but I would def go back and get it again. The place is clean, the waitstaff friendly and the food is better than good. Well it's been hit and miss; when the new owner from Florida took over the food was really good, hot, flavorful and they gave you a nice helping, then they began to decline so we had not been there in quite a while, months. Decided to stop in this morning b/c our usual place was packed. And I have to admit it was pretty good, I had the veggie omelette and he had the ham and cheese, the veggie was full and so yummy cheesy, his ham and cheese was the same -full of ham and cheese, we were quite pleased, only exception was the waitresses, a couple of them looked like they literally rolled out of bed, threw on clothes and came into work I'd be surprised if they brushed their teeth they looked so disheveled - one blondish girl, it was very very noticeable that she had not brushed her hair and it was all matted- mgmt should have insisted that she pull it back in a bun or pony before waiting on patrons had she been our waitress, I would have asked for another; luckily the young lady we had appeared clean but she was not personable at all. Granted the place was clean but the dirty looking staff is a deal breaker for me. Tho the food was good, the wait staff was inexcusable. Would you want someone who is not clean with dirty hair hanging loose and handling your food is a question I'd like to ask the owner.. or the waitresses themselves. My family and I came here for Christmas breakfast and truly had an amazing experience. No waiting, quick and loving service and awesome food. Cosy diner that I went to for a quick breakfast before catching the Amtrak train. The place was swamped for Memorial Day and it took a little to be seated but for the most part service kept up with us. Took a while to get food but that was probably due to the crowd. My wife and I eat there often. We have had good food up until now. Today we ordered take out breakfast. My wife's omelet was salty almost unedible. This restaurant had a weird look to it, the front door was hidden in a way, it was confusing because the front door was locked which I thought was the entrance. The style was old, it needs a update. There was no wait, which was nice since we were hungry. The waitress was nice and the prices were reasonable. I took it back and asked for a 6 piece wing dings and fries. Once I got that order I asked the manager about the price difference and he said not to worry about it. Went here yesterday for breakfast on my anniversary. How a coney joint can't do breakfast right is beyond me. The eggs were all still slimey and very much undercooked. The toast was like a cheap sponge. The ham was hot at the edges and cold in the middle like it had been hastily microwaved. The texture of the ham was that of shoe leather and dry. Very dry. The hashbrowns though were just abysmal. They tasted of and had the texture of leftover mash from two days prior, ran through a ricer, and then held barely near a flame until they blushed a slight brownish color. My husband ordered his well done and I didn't. Both of them showed up looking the exact same. Well done usually would mean crisp and brown. His were the same barely cooked mess! Mine looked like a fish plank sloppily dropped on the plate. Considering both plates were of the same quality, we knew we wouldn't get anything better by sending it back. I felt sick the rest of the day from what I DID try to eat. Our waitress was too busy flirting with some guy at the counter to the point she delivered us the wrong bill. What a waste of money.
