Cute little coney with sweet waitresses and very good food at cheap prices. That's something you just cant beat.

On a Wednesday 10/29/2025 around 12:20pm, this place was packed. All the booths were occupied, some counter seats were available, there was one table right in front of the entrance door so we took the table. The service was fast regardless of the diner being super busy. I got the Philly Cheesesteak with fries. It comes in two cut hoagies, some pickes and fries. Philly cheesesteak was really good! Cheese was hot and melted, steak was tender and tasty with grilled onions and bell peppers. The portion was quite big so I took the other half for to go and that's what is in the picture. This restaurant appears to be the go to spot in Wyandotte for basic comfort food staples. Even if the word "coney" is not in its name, the place is essentially a coney Island with a wide selection of menu items to please anyone and no clear specialty. I decided I would rather eat that day's special to save some time. I ended up landing on the tuna pita sandwich and a cup of New England clam chowder. Both were tasty but neither were extraordinary. It helped that I was very hungry and in a crunch for time. The take home message is you've probably had this food before and it's good if you know what you want, but there isn't anything particularly unique here. read more

This family owned diner in downtown. Wyandotte offers a wide variety of homemade menu options for breakfast lunch, and dinner at a very affordable price for the portions that you receive, and their staff are very professional, personable and welcoming. I have been enjoying their wrap sandwiches the past few weeks before I go to a class in town. They have a BLT special with fries and it is so simple yet so delicious. It truly hits the spot. I also tried their spicy chicken wrap that comes with grilled onions and green peppers inside and I wasn't sure What made it spicy as they said there is no sauce on it. It must be an oil that the chicken is grilled in, and I found it to be absolutely perfect for me, but I do like spicy foods. Frank's Red Hot perhaps? It had a good zing to it, but my mouth was not on fire and the soft tortilla that it comes wrapped in gave it a nice balance. I recommended and if need be order a glass of milk to go with it lol. Their soups are homemade as well, and I particularly enjoyed the stuffed green pepper so much with my meal that I got an order to take home with me. The dining area has ample booths and tables inside plus an outdoor patio seated area. There is a back entrance with parking along the street and back and in front on Biddle Avenue plus the side street. read more

Nanna's has always been our go to however, the new wait staff is rude and they have started to turn customers away an hour and a half before closing stating that they are only taking take out orders. Last time, they cleaned around us an hour before closing. Sadly, Nanna's is now off of our favorite locals list. read more

This restaurant is nasty and staff extremely rude! Save yourself a frustrating experience and avoid coming here! Our food was not done and hair was in our food. They wanted to take the food from our plates and re cook it... gross. the food should have been replaced. We obviously weren't going to pay for under cooked food and hair in our food. We actually offered to pay half as we did eat some of it, once the hair was found we were done. We only ate 2 pieces of bacon and 3 pieces of toast. We're semi-regulars here, as there's limited local options. We always have good service from wait staff. The food is usually 'good', not great. Excellent coffee-not motor-oil dark like most diners. I personally love the encrusted French toast. The cost of the food is high, but not outrageous. The restrooms need some attention. Lastly, like many local diners are starting to do--expect to get the gouge for using your credit card to pay. Which for @ 80% of Americans, that's how we conduct sales transactions anymore. Annoying beyond description, dare I state the obvious?: the credit card processing cost is ALREADY built into the pricing structure for the food here. Hence the prices. Gouging the customers who use a credit card to pay for their meal with an additional 3-4% is outlandish. Why doesn't the owner offer a 'cash discount' of 3-4%, and forego the credit card fee instead? Overall, I recommend going here. I like it, but I don't love it. The personal service of several of the long-term waitresses alone is worth the visit. read more

Holy WOW absolutely the very best Breakfast dish Downriver. Chicken n Waffles extreme be a Belgium slathered with Butter n Syrup then Smothered w Sausage Gravy n topped with Chicken Tenders, Poached Eggs OMG . Just added hot sauce . I ate the whole thing, filled me belly with Love. This is plenty to share and a must try. Had a fabulous bowl of Chicken Paprikash Soup spot on Delicious. She had a Double portion of fantastic Meatloaf was very good. We keep discovering great food dishes each visit. I ordered a quick takeout of hommus and pita bread. The cashier did not seem thrilled to help me and much of the staff was just standing around. When I tried to ask the cashier how she was doing she just plopped my order down in front of me and asked for the money. I felt very much unwelcomed. When I opened my order after I left (about 2 minutes later) the pita bread was cold--which wasn't that big of deal... I was just expecting it to be hot. We went to eat breakfast here this morning! The waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere reminded me of diner. We both ordered two eggs scrambled with hashbrowns, sausage links and white toast. It was very good everything was done perfectly! I loved that they serve Pepsi products too! The wait staff was on top of things serving my mom more coffee and me another Pepsi refill. Hadnt been here in a number of years, but was in the area and looking for a quick lunch. What I got was an hour of waiting for my meal. Which would be fine, if the waitress checked on us and didnt fully serve a table to completion that came well after us. She blamed the kitchen, she blamed the fact that she 'felt like she was the only one there today' (to another table), but once we got the food she didnt stop to say anything. She didnt even look at us. Why would I yell? So the food was subpar, the order was wrong. Thats all fine. But when I cant flag someone down, its awkward to go out of my way to rectify my own situation. Thats service 101. So she grabbed the tab at some point and i mentioned we didn't order an extra item. I didnt eat my sandwich except for a single bite bc it was stale. She didnt take notice of that. I didnt have time to mention it until after she charged me at which point she said 'why didnt you tell me? I would have taken it off?' Well, I couldn't, honey. So i talked to the manager. She claimed she herself had checked on us over and over. When? For the appetizers, yes. I also mentioned that we waited forever and the table after us cashed out and everything. 'That was the kitchens fault' she said. The MANAGER LOL. Its the kitchens fault my tab sat on the table for 30 minutes and that it took forever just to get it? Nah. Then some insufferable woman chimed in to ask me where I worked. Ive been a server for 4 years. She was like 'then you should know whats it like', to which I said 'this aint any of your business'. But telling a chimp the facts only upsets them more. You have a right to complain and address grievances. How else is the business going to thrive and improve? She also came out after me (the other patron) to shout me down as i crossed the street. She said 'are you a big d**k m****er*****r?' To which I said 'yes' and indicated with my hands the exact length (its huge). Didnt even get my customer receipt back from the manager. At least I got a cash refund for my uneaten food. read more

Came here to meet my daughter for brunch. Decor is pretty dated so don't judge a book by it's cover. Staff were very friendly when we got there. It seems that this place is pretty busy because of some kind of contest going on. In any case, while waiting for my daughter, we ordered the hummus appetizer with pita bread and garlic and it was very good. We all ordered breakfast items, Silver dollar pancakes and eggs, bacon breakfast burrito, cornbeef and hash and I ordered the chicken fried steak. Pancakes were good, breakfast burrito was good and pretty big size, cornbeef and hash was just okay to me, but the chicken fried steak with country gravy was delicious. My wife and I visit a different restaurant every Sunday morning. Today's visit was at Nanna's kitchen in Wyandotte. Nanna's is a very busy smaller family restaurant. Tables fill about as they become available. Looks like a lot of regulars eat there. I always ask what is unique at their restaurant. Nana's very berry French toast is dipped in pancake batter and topped with berries. I passed on the whipped cream and powdered sugar. The French toast was light and fluffy. The staff is fast and courteous. The food is tasty. Presentation could use a little focus. read more

I have seen this place a thousand times but have never stopped in. I was in the area and looking for a good breakfast spot so decided to stop and take in a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the patio. I'm not going to mince words in this review. BEST COUNTRY FRIED STEAK I have ever eaten! Eggs were cooked to perfection as well as the hash browns. Buttery and just crispy enough. We had a quick dinner here during the art fair. Service was very good and our meals were excellent. Really enjoyed the Greek gyro and with the platter option, I couldn't believe the delicious salad! I love this diner. The special was lemon basil pasta with shrimp. I omitted the shrimp (allergic) and had just the pasta over a bed of fresh spinach. It was soooo tasty! I can't wait to go back and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's on the menu! read more

Service = 5 Stars (Super friendly & super efficient) Location = 4 Stars (Parking is kind of a pain but being in downtown Wyandotte, it's a nice little corner spot) Outdoor Seating = 2 Stars (Not enough shade out there) Breakfast Flavor = 3 Stars (My eggs were cooked perfectly - dipping style with pre-buttered toast!! No one ever gets my over easy eggs right. Kudos to them. However, my ham was a little fatty and my pancakes a bit on the flat side. Meaning, there was no buttermilk 'oomph' when I tasted the cake) Breakfast Selection = 2 Stars (They didn't have a ton of combo plates to choose from like a typical breakfast joint. Me being a woman, I am indecisive and want to order everything on the damn menu when it comes to breakfast. I had to a' la carte almost my whole meal) Price = 3 Stars (Simply because I had to order everything separately. I arrived at the detroit metro ariport at 8am from NYC- my sister and her husband picked me up and we needed a spot where my other sister and her husband could meet us. We wanted something on the river so we drove down to Wyandotte which we heard was a cool place--- So we drove along Biddle and saw this cute restaurant with an outdoor paito wiht umbrellas and stopped there. 4 of us has really great omellettes and one corned beef hash.....we all enjoyed our meals- the service was great and coffee kept coming... I would seriously give it 5 stars if the coffee was not michigan blend - which is weak - but I am a new yorker.....and i like my coffee strong. i would go back any time i was in the neighborhood. read more

When it came it had white gravy w/o i was nervous it was going to be bland but it was flavorful and had a mild spice that added to it nicely. Eggs cooked perfect! Good overall experience. read more

Was here today for Mother's day. Service wasn't terrible but the waitresses seemed very scattered. Food was okay but there was a hair in mine. I didn't bother to send it back because I didn't want to wait while my family ate. Some of the waitresses were passing out flowers to mothers however my mom and I didn't get any, which is fine but if you're going to pass out flowers for mother's day don't pick and choose which women get them. My biggest problem was the coffee. It was terrible, and there was something floating in it that looked like plastic but when I scooped it on my spoon it dissipated so it must have been oil. I asked for a new cup and she just said oh yeah okay, and the new cup had the same thing. Needless to say, I didn't drink any of it but she didn't offer to remove it from our bill or ask if there was a problem. All in all was very disappointed for mother's day breakfast, will not return and would not recommend. read more
