I used to love the Logan's that was on Abercorn St, preferred it over Longhorns and Outback. I don't know what is going on with the Pooler location but how it's still open it a mystery to me, it must be a money laundering front for some kind of illegal operation! The tables are filthy and sticky, most of the employees are the rough around the edges biker types and their food is incredibly overpriced. I've been in a couple of times at night with my family and we walked out before ordering because of the poor service and prices. Last week I went in during the week for lunch with a coworker. They don't have a lunch menu, which is unheard of in this area. The cheapest thing to order for lunch was a $12 salad. They do have a daily special for a decent price that is available from 3pm - 5pm, so when I reach 70 I can start eating dinner there I guess. The place is always empty, for good reason. The management must be non existent in the place or simply doesn't care. Take my advice and stay away from this place. Go to Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. read more

Upon entering the establishment at approximately 6pm, we were told that even though we had a reservation, there was nothing they could do to seat us. I feel as though it was just something they HAD to ask when you order a steak. Like a gimmick to give guys the impression they're about to eat a juicy rare steak. Not one single steak came out as ordered. We had a mixed variety of medium well to well. The sides were bland and lacking color and life. The enormous bill was fit more for a TRH or a longhorns type of quality. Yes, we left feeling full. But this place leaves so much to be desired. This was, quite possibly, the worst service I have ever had, at any restaurant, ever. Even though it was nearly empty, and we got there at 8:56, it was near closing when we finally got our food. In that time, the waitress filled our drinks once. When our food DID arrive, my steak was cooked to shoe leather. As we waited until after close, the staff ended up locking out one of my guests, and the bar tender complained when one of my party went to let her in.The one saving grace was the manager, who was friendly and efficient, but did not offer to comp anything for the poor food and service. Again Logan's has not surprised. We keep trying, we loved Logan's, but the Pooler location has made us forget the love. After waiting to be seated at a crowded table, it was 15 minutes before drink, and dinner offers were taken at the same time. Twenty minutes later, bread came out, and 15 minutes later we still had not gotten salads. We left because the last time we were here the same thing happened...except we did get our steaks and twice mine was dripping with blood....not how I ordered it. I am only giving this 2 stars because the hostess was polite and professional. The waiter, Justin, was terrible. After we ordered drinks, just tea and a soda, it took over 10 minutes for him to come back. Then brought the wrong salad dressing so he grabbed the wrong one came back a few minutes later and slid it on the table as he walked by. After the food came, we could not get his attention for refills so I walked back to the wait staff station where he was standing. After we were done he brought the check. We waited way too long for him to come back so we took our payment upfront to see if they could get his attention. The hostess was sweet and located him. We normally tip 20-25% but I left him 16% and that was generous. Now the food. My husband had the filet and it was tough and dry. I had mixed thoughts about this visit, but in the end I think it was a win. The service was really slow at first. It was a while before we even got our drinks. I'm not sure if the server didn't know she had someone new in her section or not, but it did take a while. After that, however, the service was very good. She was very prompt and took care of us very well. The food was delicious. I was going budget-conscious this time, so I only got a burger, but it was very tasty. I used to love Logan's in Atlanta (now gone) and Athens, so I stopped at this one. The peanuts were stale. Ok, anyone can have a bad batch. But the top sirloin was a tough and unusual cut that the chef should have used for something else. One end was thin and cooked to well-done. The other was thick and raw in the middle. I guess that's how they describe medium rare. And the salad was swimming in dressing. The bartender who served me asked if I wanted them to cook it some more, missing my point when I said the cut of meat was poor. The place was full, so I guess my experience was an anomaly. My family and I were in this restaurant on Saturday, December 10. We were in town visiting with my husband's parents with our 3 children, including 2 little ones (a 2 year old and a 9 month old). The restaurant was hardly busy (it was about 1:30 p.m.), with plenty of open tables, even considering we were a party of 7 plus the baby. They initially tried to seat us at a long booth which wouldn't normally be an issue except that we were not permitted to place a high chair at the end of the booth due to fire hazard (completely understandable), so they gave us booster seats to place on the bench of booth, which was made of that soft, bouncy material. There was no way to secure the booster seats at all, which is completely unsafe for small children. Looking around the restaurant, we noticed several open tables that could accommodate a party of our size. After the server assigned to our table disappeared for what reason I don't know, I went to the hostess and asked to be seated at a large round table in the corner since it was lower to the ground and would permit us to use full-sized high chairs. She seemed quite offended and responded, "I guess you can, but your service is going to be slow." What? The restaurant was hardly at 25% capacity. Now, to the credit of the server in that section, our server was wonderful and attentive, and wait for it...timely. No delays whatsoever, despite the fact that she did have a couple of other parties of 5 or more people. The food was good as well. Honestly, had it not been for the initial encounter over the seating arrangements, I could probably offer a higher rating, but the hostess's attitude and that of the server at the first table were just atrocious. read more
