The service here is marginal at best. I sat at the bar and the bartender disappeared for at least 15 minutes. I ordered an Old Fashioned which the bartender clearly didn't know how to make but she gave it a try and I didn't complain. During her absence, another person who I had not seen before came by and asked if I wanted another. Why not, maybe she will make a better one....... No she grabbed a cocktail that had been sitting behind the bar, handed it to me and disappeared. It was horrible. When the bartender finally returned, I asked her to remake the drink. She did and it was about the same quality as the first. Everything was extremely slow even though the restaurant was not very busy. The food was ok but I had broccoli with my dinner and it was so over cooked it was turning to mush! I couldn't even pick it up with my fork. Ate at Logan's with my wife, daughter, son-in-law, & two grandkids on a busy Saturday evening. We were seated in less than ten minutes, although we were told it was a twenty-five minute wait. The food was excellent; well prepared, good portions, & good price. Laney was our server, and she did an OUTSTANDING job taking care of us. Our only complaint was that the dining room was about 15 degrees too cold. My wife & daughter had to wear their jackets during the whole meal (and we weren't close to the doors). Tried ordering the Filet at lunch time on a Saturday and they were out. Steakhouse out of steak? So, I ordered the cheeseburgers sliders. They tasted like the burger buddies Burger King used to have. Good flavor but over cooked. Asked for my fries to be a little more crispy but they tasted like they had been sitting under the warmer after crisping. Had a margarita but really tasted like water downed orange juice. Overall, very disappointing. So many places to spend your money but this is not one of them. I came here with my family. All of our food was either cold or warm (except the broccoli). My ribs were over cooked and tough. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a cardboard box; my college cafeteria makes better mashed potatoes than them. The only thing that tasted decent was the waffle fries. Lame....the 12 oz ribeye was noticeably larger than the 3 dollar more 16oz ribeye. One over cooked and one under. The 16 oz ribeye was tough as a boot with gristle. Pretty sure it wasn't a ribeye. The best part though is my wife ordered her grilled onions cooked extra and they were nearly raw. Service was fine. Didn't have to ask to refill my drink. Took my order fairly quickly (at the bar), and everything looked as I ordered, except the meat. But the kitchen is inferior, as usual. I always get med to medium well when I order medium rare. I even ask the waiters/ bartenders to ensure that it is cooked accurately, because it's such a chronic problem. You would think a steak house chain would teach their cooks the importance of cooking meat correctly. I can't count the number of times I get overlooked meat at Logan's. I eat it anyway. I don't have time to send it back. Also, my broccoli. I can almost count on it being overcooked and tasting like it was microwaved wayyyy too long. Peppered with brown burnt spots. I guess I'm stupid because this place continues to disappoint and yet I go back every few months. They now have Prime Rib, so I went there to try it. Not recommended. The portion I was served was difficult to cut and rubbery to chew. NOT what you'd expect from a cut of meat that typically cuts with a fork and practically melts in your mouth. The manager was very apologetic and even brought a replacement, which was just as tough, so he took it off the bill. Not sure if this was an off night or not. My parents are at the restaurant for dinner then brought food home for us. My husband ordered the French dip with no cheese. He has allergies to it. It not only came with cheese, it did not come with au jus. My salad order was cheese on the side and honey mustard dressing. I received no cheese and ranch dressing. Very disappointed. Went for an early lunch with several friends. Server was very nice. When we opened our silverware wrapped in napkins, all the forks were filthy. Not just water spots, actually dried food and smeared on them. And, all six sets of silverware were dirty. I can't imagine the person putting the silverware into the napkin sets not noticing how dirty they were, or the person we who washed the dishes not ensuring that they were clean. Food was good and service was great. The server was very embarrassed by the issue, but the experience will affect future decisions to return there for a meal. read more

Walked in before they closed and we were greeted by a friendly hostess. I appologized for stopping in so late as they close @10pm It was 9:25 pm when we walked in. Got seated, ordered the filet medium well with the lobster tail. The first steak came back done as in cooked all the way. She took it back but let me eat the lobster tail which was awesome, tender and good flavor. The Second steak came back rare. She seen it, took it back. I stopped her and told her to try the ribeye, sometimes the cook can cook that steak better then the filet steaks. Waiting on the finished product, hopefully this will be good... While waiting the guy waiter was cleaning all around us and stocking all his condiments on the tables. Very nice guy as we carried on a conversation... Ugh. Not good. Actually worse. It was so tough I could barely cut into it. I think he was in a hurry cooking it and had the temperature up on it, as it's 10:17pm. Now. Back to the filet....the manager is very sweet and nice. He said he'd cook it nice and slow for me.. very nice employees in here. Ahhhhh!!!! Perfect!!! Kudos to the manager! He cooked it himself---he got it perfect!!!! I am a serious fan of Logan and use to drive to Nashville to eat there all the time. This one opened here in Dickson and we went here 3 times and the food was awful every time, then the waiter always comes and asks why we didn't each much of the food, gee it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Go to any other restaurant in the area but skip over this one. The food is expensive, poor-fully made and the service is hit and miss. read more

How do you screw up a Logan's Roadhouse? Put it in Dickson. I've never had my order messed up so badly at a restaurant, or seen things get so screwed up anywhere else. Our server forgot to take our menus when we ordered, and never did take them - I finally got up and put them away myself (because they are frickin' HUGE). My entree came, then one of sides came out a moment later, and my other side was brought out after I pointed out that I had still not gotten it. For some reason this location does not seem to have as much selection as other Logan's, either. I couldn't find some normal entrees I get at other locations. My girlfriend's steak came out burnt to a crisp with a "medium rare" stick in it :| If you are ::blessed:: enough to have to make a stop in Dickson, keep going past Logan's and stop at Arby's, O'Charley's, or even a MapcoMart for a better dining experience. read more

Horrible.. waited 45 minutes for a to-go hamburger! Hopeful that it would be worth the wait, when I got back to my hotel I sank my teeth into stall old french fry's. My burger had two pickles (which had a funny taste to them) and two raw onions ring at the very VERY bottom of the burger. It was also dry. And thank god I'm not allergic to tomatoes because even though I ask for no tomatoes when I ordered, it came with it aways. I mention it to the hostess who took it to the back and just took them off the burger, rather then give me a new burger. I'm a trucker from Pittsburgh that was parked at the truck stop up the street from this steakhouse. Tired of the usual truck stop food I decided to walk down to Logan's. I've gotta say that I was pleasantly surprised by the service, selection, & taste of the food that I ordered. My steak was cooked to perfection, & my knife went through it like butter. We went in on a Sunday night and the seating was very poor. We had to wait for a table even though there were a dozen empty tables. They stated they didn't have enough servers, yet there were three girls manning the front door standing around doing almost nothing. When we were leaving other customers were leaving because of a 35 minute wait and said this was the worst Logans in middle Tennessee. There were plenty of tables vacant and with sufficient help no one should have to wait. Poor management. This one will probably close too. read more

My family and I stopped by Logan's during a roadtrip. We went at an off time (around 3), so the restaurant was pretty slow. The only major complaint we had was the table we were initially seated at was a square booth where we had to scoot all the way around to the back, and because it was square and there were 6 of us (most of my relatives are senior citizens), it was hard to get to our seats and then none of us really had any good table space. We spotted a larger, more traditional open booth and asked to be moved, and they were fine accommodating us. There were peanuts on the table (peanut shells on the ground), and they also brought soft, buttery rolls to the table. Most of us ordered cheeseburgers. They were HUGE. We all brought half home. I had the burger with the fried cheese patty and it was very good. I had traditional fries, which were seasoned well. My relatives all chose sweet potato fries, which came with some brown sugar and cinnamon on them (they were good). There was nothing hugely special about Logan's, but our service was good and the food was decent. read more

We had the BEST experience at this restaurant last night! The food was delicious and the service was top notch! Our server? Joseph, told us he had only been working there for a week and a half and that this was his FIRST job out of the Marines (or Navy, I really don't remember) but you could NOT tell! He was on point. This is a five star review because of the service. We had a hard time finding a hotel due to some event going on in town but once we did we were starving. It was late and they closed in 35 minutes. The seated us and never rushed us. The waitress gave us time to order drinks and then gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The others ordered steaks and said they were cooked as requested. No one had a complaint about their meals. The meal took us longer to eat than they were open but like I said we were never rushed. The waitress purposely did not clean booths or tables by us so we would not feel pressured to hurry. The staff was great I appreciate the fact they knew they had to be there to clean up anyway so we were allowed to finish at our pace. The poor waitress was so frazzled due to the pathetic under-staffing she didn't even put any ketchup, utinsels, or even napkins in the bag. And she gave me the wrong drink to go. I enjoy dining at Logan's in Dickson, TN. I always find the staff to be friendly and eager to please. There isn't much competition in the area for mid level dining. It is usually pretty crowded on the weekends, so expect a bit of a wait, but they do move people through pretty fast, and you always have the option of sitting at the bar. Parking is usually a problem during busier times here, that can be a small frustration. Many times, especially when they are busy, managers can be seen walking around asking people how they like their food. I have been many times, and the couple of times an order was slightly incorrect or something was left off (during the busy times), a manager has always gone above and beyond to correct it post-haste, and I do appreciate that. Sometimes, service could be a little faster. They may need to hire/schedule additional staff for the busier times. Overall, I have a consistently good experience at Logan's. read more

Im only giving 2 stars vs 1 because our server was extremely nice. Saturday night dinner we arrived at 6 pm. Ordered almost immediately ........... 7 pm rolls around....... the poor couple across from us had been here 30 min prior to us and just got thier food. It apparently was not correct i saw them send it back to kitchen and kudos to mngr for being nice and taking care of their messup. Also near us was a couple that came in 20 min after us. They got their food before us and before the couple that was there 50 min before them................ Not a good way to start lol .......... Anyway we finally got our food, my sons midwell steak ( that we thought was the reason for the lengthy wait ) was med rare. ( a 5 min prep on grill) All we can figure is they lost our ticket. My salmon/ grilled shrimp combo. Salmon was great/ shrimp were cold , and almost raw, im like Bubba from Forrest Gump, ive been cookin and eatin shrimp my whole life, these were Waaaaaaaaaaaay undercooked to the point i did not eat figuring any bacteria was still alive and well and not killed by heat from the grill. Son ordered baked potato w butter only, it came loaded w cheese and bacon, lol Just an all around fiasco. One star had it not been for the friendly staff. With Coltons Steakhouse down the road, id say Logans had best step it up. In all fairness we did not try Coltons when they were slammed , but logans failed the test tonight. We paid, tipped our waitress a $10 and left knowing we would never come back again. Some would get a manager and go through a rigamaroll but i had been there for hour and a half and was just ready to go .
