We were looking for dinner and it was after 9:00 pm, so a lot of places had closed for the night. We pulled up and the sign said they were open until 10pm. We went in and found a young couple inside having dinner. We were promptly seated and within a few minutes had placed our orders. The food arrived exactly as described, was hot, delicious, and plentiful! The atmosphere was very inviting and with it being so late, was very quiet. All plusses in our book. The salad bar had all the fixings and hit the spot with my meal! Our waiter was kind and professional and very efficient in meeting our requests. The t bone steals were extremely tough. I had to send my first one back cooked too long. Second cooked better but still overdone and tough so that the knife barely cut it. They were short staffed. Mannnn .. I haven't been into a Ruby Tuesday's, besides one in South Carolina a few months ago, in decades. And the lack of service and attention I got at the last Ruby Tuesday's in another state almost discouraged me from coming here, but I'm glad I did! I had a BOGO entree, which was great. The place was super clean, everybody was super nice, my food was spectacular! I forgot to write this review when I was still in Dickson, and Yelp! just reminded me! So I sat at the bar, and Ed was my bartender/server. This guy was like a water spider. He was tending tables, and tending bar, making sure every single party and patron were constantly taken care of. The amount of attention he showed to everyone, is what I expect, because it's the same amount of attention that I would give my customers, and have gave my customers in business ventures past. I ordered fried mushrooms for an appetizer, ordered the Cajun chicken and shrimp for my main, and I got my BOGO chicken parmesan to go. My food was HOT, it was quick, and I can't stop saying enough about Ed. Always made sure my drink was full, always checked in on me, and I noticed as he was running around, he would still let people know he was aware of them and he would be with them in a sec if he was ringing up a ticket or doing something else. I come through here pretty often, and I'm definitely going to be going back, especially if Ed is working! Whew! This was an experience. My mom and her friends eat here every Tuesday as a group and I joined them this past Tuesday. We were a party of 11 and there was a second women's group also there plus other customers. We arrived at 11:00 and I had a work meeting at 12:30. Around 12:20, the waitress finally brought our drinks (water). I mentioned to the guy, who is like a manager that I need my and my mom's meal to go since I had a meeting. I then left at 12:30 to take my call. My mom came out about 12:50 with our order. What in the World! So the restaurant... the floors were very sticky even with carpet. This deter me from eating the salad bar - cuz if the place is dirty, how clean will you keep a salad bar with multiple hands. Now mind you my mom has brought a salad bar plate home and it was good but I just couldn't that day touch the bar. Our food was BASIC. I honestly wished we canceled and picked up fast food. I ordered a chicken sandwich and tater tots. The tots tasted warmed up in a microwave with no crunch. The sandwich had no condiments and an old pickle. Just sad. First let me start the salad bar is not good at all. The soup was cold. And the picture for the desert looked so good. However it was nothing like the picture. Oh and they had no ranch dressing my husband asked for some and they did not care. We are from California and have been wanting to go because of the commercial Needless to say we did not leave a tip and will never go back. There are a lot of good restaurant choices in Dickson and this was not one. Not bad, but had the potential to be horrific! Easy to get to, lots of parking and staff was very friendly! Outside, the building was clean, well landscaped and welcoming. If we stopped there, a true 4 or 5 star experience. As we were escorted to our table, there must have been 7 or 8 un-bussed tables in the area we were placed. We were visited quickly by the waitstaff and drinks were on the table quickly. We both visited the restrooms, another bad idea as both Women's and Men were filthy! Staff were almost all wearing the masks under their chin. (At least their chins were not potentially spreading COVID.) I ordered a side salad (trip to salad bar) and the bacon bourbon burger. The salad bar had some COVID rules, but none of the customers followed (sanitize hands, wear gloves and mask). The salad bar was kind of messy and not well maintained. The ingredients and options were decent and I made a mountain of salad my doctor would have been please to know I ate (less all the cheese, salad dressing and bacon). The burger was out quickly and although tasty, the meat was a little more on the very rare side. I might have heard a "Mooo" and tail swish on the first bite. The delivery driver was nice, and on time from when he picked up the food. If you are reading this - order from Colton's Steakhouse, and pick it up. Back to the review... the steak sandwiches were edible, barely, but the cheese sauce is disgusting. The limp, soggy fries were covered in sauce. Thankfully we paid for buffalo sauce to help mask the taste of the fries we could salvage. The website shows Dasani 20oz bottles of water, but they deliver 16.9oz bottles. Quite possibly the most disappointing meal I have ever had. The "chicken breast" that I ordered was smaller than a chicken tender, no exaggeration. The mashed potatoes were instant & a grayish color, no joke. The grilled zucchini was the only thing that was decent. It was almost $18 for a meal that was worth no more than $5 tops. We were excited to try this place as we have seen many advertisements but never had one close enough to go to. Since we were traveling we thought we would try them. Server was good. Food was okay. We asked our server for the 2 for $22 menu but since we were there on a Tuesday they were not running the 2 for $22 menu as they had a special on all burgers and chicken sandwiches were $5. You would think they would still use that menu as I am sure there are other things than burgers on it. I ordered a Honey Crunch Chicken and my husband got the Bacon Cheeseburger. For them not being very busy it took a while for our food to arrive. But when it did, the tater tots were hot but my chicken sandwich was overcooked and a little dry. Asked for more honey mustard so I could get a little moisture into it. The Bacon Cheeseburger was just that. Bacon, cheese and meat. Nothing special. Then when the bill arrived, my chicken sandwich was not on special as the server had said and the bacon cheese burger was rang in as a double cheese at $7. If the server knew these were going to be more than the $5 she said, she should have mentioned that when she took the order. It is always best to be upfront with your customers than to hide things from them. Anyhow, we paid the bill and got back on the road. Will we be back? Probably to try it again. Update 2:48pm - got our food. My brothers steak was well done when he ordered it medium rare. They had to re-cook it. My dad was the last to get his food and his steak was also well done when he ordered it medium rare. My mom's zucchini was cold. But hey, at least we finally got our drink refills. We had to ask our server to bring us our checks because we knew if we didn't ask for then right then while she was already at our table, we would be waiting for another 30-45+min. Not too thrilled with the experience thus far. We've been here since 1. Was told it was gonna be a 35-45 minute wait for a party of 5 to be seated. Luckily, it was just a 13 minute wait so that was a positive. The floors are extremely sticky...like have y'all heard of a mop? And we just NOW got our food and it's 2:30. I travel here regularly for work and I have had mixed feelings about coming here due to some of the reviews I read, however I decided to give it a try tonight. I had great service, quick and my food was great! The only thing that could have been better was my loaded mashed potatoes. I knew from the minute she brought them there would be an issue. They use super cold butter on top along with the cold sour cream I knew I needed to remove the butter before it made the potatoes cold. I had the bacon bourbon sirloin loaded mashed and rice.
