I had duo filet mignon and my wife had the boneless short ribs. Both were excellent. We split a flourless chocolate torte for desert which was outstanding. The fresh sourdough bread was amazing. Our server was Dawn who was extremely attentive and friendly. Great service. It is expensive here but the quality was top notch.

Go there for lunch on occasion. Limited menu, but good choices and reasonably priced. My favorites…read moreare steak sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, and house salad. The steak sandwich is served on a ciabatta roll. It has Filet mignon, Gruyere cheese, grilled red pepper & onions, garlic mayo, and creamy horseradish. The house salad has Romaine, arcadia blend, heirloom cherry tomatoes, carrot ribbons, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic croutons, and watermelon radishes (which are an added bonus because they aren't in salads I've ordered at other places. ) The house roasted jalapeno honey vinaigrette put this salad over the top. I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. I hope I can eventually venture out on the menu, because I'm sure every item I try will not disappoint. To add, if you want really good service in a very nice atmosphere, go here.

While waiting for main course, we were served chips and salsa, both of which were above average. Upon arrival, my wife's fajitas looked great, and she advised they that were tasty. However, my Alambres dish, which is clearly described on the menu as "Strips of beef, ham, bacon and chorizo grilled...All covered with cheese" did not arrive at the table as advertised. If there was any ham or bacon in the dish, they were, from a visibility and taste perspective, wholly unidentifiable and undistinguishable. However, there was the addition of a "mystery" ingredient that was added to the dish that was not listed as such. Based on its diameter, color, and texture I concluded that it was slices of Vienna sausage -- an ingredient I have never encountered in a Mexican dish in my 72+ years of cluninary experience. Now the dish was edible, it just wasn't up to the expectation of any diner under eight years of age. The steak was bland, the ham and bacon vacant, the chorizo mildly flavorable, and the Vienna sausage what one would expect from, well, Vienna sausage added to a Mexican dish as "cheap filler" (since it certainly had no rightful place in the dish). On the plus side, the side of refried beans and Mexican rice were passable. After getting the check, I took a medallion of the Vienna sausage up to the front counter. I asked the lady to identify it. She mumbled in Spanish but offered no clear answer. She called over my waiter and after some back and forth in Spanish, the waiter finally said "hot dog". Based on the physical diameter of the medallion, I found this answer to be "off." Still, I took up a menu and showed the waiter the description of the Alambres dish and noted that "hot dog" was not listed. I advised that if it had been, not only would I not have ordered it, but I would probably have left the establishment (I will not use the term "restaurant" so as not to insult such establishments) without ordering anything. His response was to say that they always put "hot dogs" in the dish and made an offer to "comp" the dish. I responded with an emphatic "NO"! He offered again, and I said NO again. Still, when I paid for the meal, he comped the dish anyway, against my clear instructions. At that point, I told him that, based on the dish and his inability to follow the clearest of instructions from a customer, I would never visit the enterprise again. Vienna sausage and/or hot dog in a Mexican dish intended for an adult, really? Listed ingredients: ham and bacon, invisible! The waiter did say they dice these two ingredients up into very small pieces. Why would anyone expend the labor in a kitchen to do such a thing? Personally, I can only come up with two reasons for such a statement. First, I would postulate that someone might do this to hide the quality of the product used. Secondly, it might offer coverage when a customer calls foul when they cannot discern their presence in the dish. I close with two final points. 1) As the meal was "comped," I did not take the leftovers home to my dog. 2) I am fully aware that there will probably be a multitude of individuals that have eaten the Alambres dish I have described above and found it wholly acceptable. That there is no accounting for taste is something I came to accept years ago. But as I approach my 73rd birthday, I will simply not accept such deception (i.e., inaccurate menu description), nor will I accept such substandard preparation and taste, especially at the prices being charged today, without response. P.S. I see that this review site wants a comment on the "ambiance" of the facility. It was its exterior's appearance that made me want to stop in. Its interior was clean and comfortable. However, I do not eat "ambiance," as, overall, I do not find it either filling or satisfying. An empty suit is still an empty suit regardless of the cloth, style, tailor, or storefront.

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but after reading through their menu and other information on their website, I was pretty sure I would like it. Upon arriving we were seated within 5 minutes by the sweetest most personable server I have delt with in many years. The interior of the restaurant is so pretty, with white table clothes and fresh flowers on every table, it was absolutely breathtaking! My friend and I tried the empanada, and it was brought out in a timely manner, and OH MY GOODNESS it was soooo good! Then I ordered the Salmon, and my friend ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The presentation of the food was so upscale and beautiful! And again, I was shocked! The food was soooo good, definitely worth every penny I paid for it! Then, for dessert we both tried the Affogoto. I was sooo surprised at the quality of the espresso! As a barista of 2 plus years, I might be considered a little bit of a coffee snob My words after my first sip were, "Oh wow, this is really good!" Nearly every single item on the menu is handcrafted in house, and what isn't is sourced locally. The chef even personally came out to check on us, and see how we liked our food! This place is AMAZING!! I 1000/10 recommend!
