Stopped here on our way to Memphis after a private tour of Johnny Cash's nearby farm. A group of eight, we're from Los Angeles, and most of us are serious Mexican food aficionados (read "snobs"). This place was outstanding. Fantastic, authentic food, good drinks, really nice service. We friends have travelled together, and found truly atrocious Mexican far from home, but Javi's did not disappoint. Really glad we came here instead of the steak joint our tour guide recommended. I loved how nice everyone was. They even stopped to help me practice my Spanish. Which I definitely need help with. The food was really good too. I liked looking at all the different things on the walls as well. It's definitely a fun place to go for Sunday lunch. read more

While staying nearby we were looking fro some dinner and we had a hankering for some Mexican food. This place had good reviews and was relatively close to our hotel so we drove over. We opted to eat on their large deck since it was finally cool enough to be outside and not as crowded or loud as indoors. The staff was super friendly, helpful and beyond attentive. We haven't had service this good since covid when every restaurant has cut back on service. The food was solid and at a reasonable price (especially the tap beer). The enchiladas were good especially the chorizo ones as were the tacos. Their chips were good and the salsa had good heat. The menu has lots of options. Highly recommended! read more

We absolutely adore Javi's, and we are regulars. This is one of the gems in this area for sure. You can't go wrong with the authentic tacos - best around. I recommend the steak, pastor, and chorizo. The service is excellent, and we enjoy sitting on the patio. They sometimes have live music as well! read more

The food and service is excellent! I highly recommend this place! We go about once a week.

Staff was friendly and attentive, though we were one of only two couples there when we visited. I was definitely not impressed with the food. I ordered queso for the appetizer chips. The chips were crumbled and seemed over-baked. The queso had a film over the top when brought out, was not warm, and had lumps in it. For the main course, I had steak fajitas. The steak had no flavor and was over cooked. My husband had the taco salad. A man of not many words, he simply said "it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst." He did say that their sweet tea was good, however. We will not visit this restaurant again. read more

My second time at Javi's was superb! I eat all over the continent and authentic Mexican is one of my favorite food groups. This dining experience was exceptional, the guacamole casera was amazing and the no. 4 Amanda's Special Fajitas was so good. Follow that with a Dos Equis Amber in a frosty mug and you will leave with a huge smile on your face. The owner Javi is very personable and cares about your experience. Stopped by on a road trip. Tamale and enchilada very good, taco, chalupa, chips pretty standard fare. Service great!
