I had Las Delicias today for the first time and was FLOORED. My best friend and I with her husband all went for the first time today and we geeked out SO HARD. We are all three of us longtime restaurant industry veterans and foodies, so we can be pretty harsh judges sometimes. The minute I walked through that door I KNEW it was going to slap. The decor, the menu, the ingredients, THE HOMEMADE HOT SAUCES ( which if they sold I would absolutely buy ) , the drinks, the ambiance, they did GOOD. Real good. They were even mindful enough to put a very well decorated play area for children in the back. No notes. 10/10. Will brag about it until the cows come home. I didn't get our servers name, but he had a spider tattoo behind his ear and was very kind, attentive and made good suggestions. The homemade ice cream and the caramel filled churros at the end had us absolutely euphoric with how good they were. To find a place like this in Dickson Tennessee was a shock, and would be happy to see them open more locations! read more

Husband and I along with our Mini Dachshund Sat on the small patio and I'd have to say one of the best experiences eating in a long while. The food was delicious and glad the hotel desk guy at Hampton Inn recommended this place. Service was prompt and cheerful. Saw a lot of people eating their meals inside and they also had what appeared to be some of the nicest plates. Food selection was great and many authentic dishes. Elote and guacamole was great, the Mole enchiladas were very tasty not too much heat or sugar. Enjoyed the salsa and beans appetizers. Would do this again in our next trip to the area. read more

We stopped by at the offhand comment from a coworker after doing some shopping WOW the first visit we had enchiladas in sweet mole sauce a strawberry margarita and a guachochi. The strawberry Rita was good but the guacochi was a showstopper from presentation to flavor (so good my hubs got it on our next visit a mere 3 days later!) our server was fantastic and food served quickly (great since we were traveling with kids). The ambiance was modern and beautifully decorated with faux succulents and velvet. We had an event in Nashville and decided this was a needed stop again in 3 days. We just wrapped up eating the shrimp tacos with street corn and tacos de alambre. Both dishes were fantastic, loaded with flavor, and served promptly. During our first visit we also treated to vanilla ice cream (plain) and some at the table said it was the best they had. The only problem here is that it's not close enough to me! Also they have an additional hand washing station outside the rest room (genius) and a kids playroom. We will return, hungry for more! read more

Best tacos around town--hands down. This place is a hidden gem in Dickson, and I've tried a lot of tacos across Tennessee trying to find ones with bold, solid flavors. These truly deliver. What I love: * Great service every time * A nice variety of drinks * The food is packed with flavor. Even something simple like queso has depth--you can taste the jalapeño and extra seasoning. It's not just plain queso blanco. * They bring out chips with salsa and a bean dip when you sit down, and it's so good. I've honestly never had anything like it before. * While they offer a wide variety of Mexican dishes, the tacos are what really stand out for me. Tons of options, and the flavors are always on point. * They bring out two house-made hot sauces--one green, one red--and they are incredible. I can't eat here without them; they add another layer of flavor. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. * Don't skip dessert. You can check out the dessert menu, but I always walk next door to see the ice cream flavors in person. The ice cream tastes fresh, not overly processed or overly sweet--you can genuinely taste the flavors, which really surprised me. * For to-go orders, the process is super easy. So I have been to the restaurant three times now, once before the remodeled and expansion. We were impressed with the refried bean dip they put out on the table with the chips and mangonada. I told my friends it was first time I ever enjoyed refried beans. But it is a dip I suppose. We have to drive 30 mins to get there and we took friends last time. We went this weekend for their Dias De La Muerte celebration and I was so disappointed. My biggest issue is what you see on social media, what the restaurant is trying to be is different than what it is once you get there. You can tell the owner wants this to be more of an upscale Mexican restaurant since the remodel. They are trying to go the extra mile in decor and making certain things from scratch, like having a house made syrup for a margarita. Unfortunately, the last two times we went they wanted to seat us next to this children's room. When we came with friends, we immediately told them we didn't want to sit there, so they took us out of the nice room and into the side room where they have the ice cream counter. :/ Yes, if you look at the restaurant online it has these beautiful tables and beautiful blue booths, which I have been dying to sit at, but we never get those seats. For this weekend I called twice and specifically asked to sit in the booths across from the bar. We even arrived early and she said our table was ready and sat us right next to the kids room. I don't have kids, I don't want to hear a bunch of screaming kids during my meal. Nor do my friends. I feel like that kids room is out of place from the rest of the restaurants vibe. It should be tore out and they should add more of those blue booths so there is more nice seating available.. It also has that sterile office lighting in it, which again doesn't fit in. Last night the staff had their faces painted for the celebration which was so nice, our waitress did not. They all seemed super stressed running around. My boyfriend got his food, we both did not get our drinks yet. Then he got his drink and i was still waiting for my drink and food. So I sat there for a while before anything came out. The drink I was so excited about ended up being super tart as it all lime juice. I will not be back unfortunately. I'm sure the staff are good people and do their best, but the experience I wanted based on my expectations did not happen. Maybe if that kids room disappears I would give it another try. read more

My sister and family picked up lunch from here for me today. I had the birria tacos with ramen. I really enjoyed the flavor the tacos - very tasty. The two sauces were too hot for me but enjoyed squeezing limón. Now the ramen had I think meat pieces, small pieces of onion and carrots. It was tasty but wish the noodles were cooked more and less salty. Need to go back and try more of the menu. read more

The only way I could be any more excited about Las Delicias is if they were located closer to my family that lives in the area. It's a bit of an odd location, but so worth the trip! This is top three Mexican food places I've ever ate at, ANYWHERE, let alone middle Tennessee. And that's coming from someone who has lived in Southern California for 68 years, and spent a lot of time in Mexico. The food is absolutely outstanding both in flavor and quality. I'd happily pay double the menu prices for this food. And the staff has always been super helpful and friendly. This is our absolute go-to for Mexican food from here on out whenever I'm in town. Stumbled across this place while visiting Dickson, and decided to try it out based on Yelp reviews. I'm telling you, it did not disappoint!!! Everything was off the charts fantastic! From the horchata drink, to the different types of tacos, and finally- the ice creams--- all of which are homemade and bursting with flavor!! I'd give Las Delicias 10 stars if I could. In fact, this has become my favorite spot in Dickson, and stopped in today for my 4th visit in just 2 weeks. I'm not one to write reviews unless I'm truly blown away. My wife and I went to Las Delicias for ice cream because it was the only ice cream place open on Sunday other than the big chain stores. First and last time we go there. Who in their right minds would pay $13 for two cones with one scoop in each. It wasn't all that and actually not very good at all. I had the Tacos El Pastor and wife had the beef Chimichanga and both were the best we've had anywhere. We closed out our meal with the Ice Cream Taco and a Raspberry Ice cream cone. Wonderful!! I ALMOST don't want to leave a good review, as this is one of our all-time favorite places in all of Dickson County and I don't want it to become impossible to access. However, the owners are so nice and their food is just so amazing, I'm compelled. Aside from the ONE time they screwed me royally (I'd called ahead to make SURE they would be open on New Year's Eve and I was ASSURED they would be, only to arrive with out-of-town guests and find them closed), this establishment has met or exceeded my expectations every single time. I've had numerous items from their menu- all fantastic- and was going to try to extol their virtues, but it really would be pointless, as words alone can't describe.
