We walked in tired, hungry, and mildly cranky--and left full, smiling, and dangerously close to starting a group fan club for their sweet tea. First, the staff. Friendlier than a golden retriever at a barbecue. They greeted us like we were long-lost cousins showing up to the family reunion--"Hey y'all!" included. We ordered sandwiches the size of small boats, a loaded spud that could double as a flotation device, and of course, that glorious, magical sweet tea that may or may not be brewed by angels. Everything came out fast, hot, and somehow even better than we expected. We had a Memphian and Honey BBQ Baked Potato with all the fixins', plus an incredible salad just like I love it with some Buffalo Chicken Nachos! Well, tried this place again. We tried it when they first opened and had a couple bad experiences. Now that they've been open a while we placed a pickup order. Got home and my southwest chipotle chicken salad had no chicken! Now explain to me how a menu item with chicken in the name, doesn't have chicken??? Salad was fresh, other items were okay. But my main meal, was wrong. Hmmmm and no way to contact anyone except by phone and they "are sorry", I can bring it back... uhhh no, I'm 15 miles away in my pajamas watching Netflix eating a chicken-less chicken salad. We also got two sandwiches. Each sandwich only had two thin slices of meat on it. Hardly enough to even taste it. They have a lot of work to do or no one is going to risk their neck getting in and out of there for subpar food compared to all other McAlisters locations. Just tried the Brand new McAlister's Deli in Dickson today and they did an amazing job of having my order ready about 10 minutes before I expected it to be ready. It was a fairly large order for one of my Doctor's offices that had been called in. I had the Ruben sandwich which was alright, but lacking a tiny bit of that Ruben kick, but overall it was a good sandwich. Once I even complained to the manager- it doesn't matter, they ALWAYS forget to put something in my bag. Today, the lady at the window would have let me leave without half my order if I hadn't checked it, and they still forgot the chips. They just do not have good quality control with their to-go orders. i am worn out with it and won't be ordering takeout anymore. While working in the area and needing lunch delivered to the office, I placed my order online with McAlister's Deli, selected a time for delivery, the items I wanted delivered and put my credit card in. The lunch showed up at the meeting a little early, which is what we wanted and the food was AMAZING! Unfortunately this location falls short when it's compared to the other McAlister's I've been to. For one, McAlister's is famous for their sweet tea. It's literally in the name. Idk if they are always rushing or what but the "sweet" tea here is never sweet. At all. I've come here about 3 times and each time it's been a disappointment. I have always enjoyed McAlister's, but haven't seen one in several years. I am often in Dickson, but seldom drive by here. My daughter and son-in-law led me to it for lunch. It was noon and the place was busy, but we still found a table. There were a number of menu items they didn't have, but we were told what they were as soon as we stepped up to order. Service was fast and the ladies who bring orders to the table were nice and helpful. The iced tea was good; fresh and not stale as it often is where it sits too long. It's a bit hard to find as it's in what appears to be an office building with a small, low sign out front. I know how to find it now, but I would have passed it by had I been by myself. This place is good and bad... The bathroom was clean and smelled good but the toilet paper was placed on the floor instead of in the dispenser. They have a great selection but were out of two different entrees on the limited kids menu. The club sandwich was good but we asked for plain yellow mustard instead of honey mustard and they gave us spicy brown mustard. We ordered the nachos to share as an appetizer and they were great but the avocado wasn't ripe. The establishment is new but good luck finding a clean, wiped down table to sit at. I love the fact that I finally have a place close by that serves Rueben sandwiches. Unfortunately it was way to salty. I love salt don't get me wrong but it was to salty. After visiting this establishment several times I have become very disappointed. Not once have I been in that they have gotten my order right. If someone says no mustard that means none. This is my first time at any McAlister's, and I am very impressed. I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner going on 4 pm. Not many people were dining in, but the drive thru line was wrapped around the building. I had to wait a couple of minutes before someone was able to take my order, but it was so worth the wait. I ordered a McAlister club sandwich and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. I had barely gotten settled in my seat when the food arrived at the table. The soup was very good and really hit the spot. The sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the bacon crispy without being incinerated. Next time I'll see if they can't add some jalapeños to ramp up that bad boy a couple of notches. The accompanying pickle was crisp and tasty. I'd heard about the legendary sweet tea, and it was ok. This is the South...y'all might want to add a little more sugar if you want to have proper sweet tea. Y'know, the tea was my only only disappointment. But in the big scheme of things, it's not a deal breaker. I'll definitely find more reasons to come to Dickson just so I can explore the rest of the menu. Good on ya, McAlister's! Great food with plenty of options for everyone. My go to is always the jalapeño turkey crunch or the French dip. Plenty of customized freebies to add to your already massive sandwich. Prices are fair and it's a great place for lunch. The food has always been fresh when I've gotten it and the online drive through pick up makes it easier for me when commuting into work. read more

Poorly run and not great quality for the price. The menu shows the kids pretzel bite hot dogs with a yellow sauce in the picture which would appear to be cheese. Didn't receive cheese or any other sauce. When I went up and asked was told nope it doesn't come with cheese. I went ahead and paid for cheese for my grandson to dip the hot dogs in and was charged over $3.00 which I later checked the menu and should have been $1.75 (still ridiculous). I also didn't get two of our meals when everyone in our groups came out and had to go ask for the food as it had been sitting on the counter getting cold. Quality of the tomato cucumber salad is poor. Save your money. It's been 10 years since I had been to a McAllisters in the state I used to live. Disappointed with this location. Food isn't cheap and they delivered mine with a missing half. The half they delivered wasn't what a I ordered. I ate it anyways and ask for my other half.
