A cute little touristy cafe that is WAY undersized and busy during any peak season but the good food and nice service makes up for it. The Log Cabin Cafe has all of your breakfast standards and they do them right. Parking will likely be busy and tight outside and you may have to wait a while for a table with a confusing seating process that seems to put party mix over wait time. It's very cute inside and they also have a selection of grocery type items for sale so while you are eating someone might walk by your table to buy a gallon of milk!! Restrooms are clean and themed as well.

The Catskills Omelet with sausage, bacon ham, swiss, tomato peppers and onion.

Cool little place tucked into the mountains. Nice breakfast menu with all the morning comfort food you would want. We went for the omelets and mine, the "Catskills" was flavourful, stuffed with tons of deliciousness and served with marble rye toast, my favourite. Both waitresses were friendly and attentive. Small dining room but we were seated right away. They had a decent beer menu with some local and national brands. It was 10am but the Crossroads Outrage had a a personal favourite so I dove in. Wife had a mimosa and both were delicious. Kid friendly, very affordable and a nice menu make this a "must go" morning place. Decent parking and not far from the heart of Cairo. Breakfast served on paper plates but it didn't take anything away from the food or experience. Close to home so we will be back.

Log Cabin Cafe is an excellent restaurant. Upon arriving, my friend and I were immediately seated. Within several minutes, the waitress came by to take our orders. Our food subsequently came out within 10 minutes. I had the Catskills omelet, which they described as "a mountain of an omelet." Indeed, their description was correct; the omelet was massive. Overall, the omelet was pretty good. The egg was fluffy, and the insides were stuffed with sausage, bacon, ham, tomatoes, and peppers. However, I felt that the omelet had an excess amount of peppers, as well as an overpowering taste of ham.

We went 2 days in a row! We were staying at Glen Falls House and this spot was a 5 minute drive away. The first day we ordered lunch (turkey club sandwich with macaroni salad and turkey blt with cucumber salad) fair portions and price. The bacon was nice and crispy. The next day we went for breakfast. I ordered "the honey bear" and a side of bacon, my husband ordered "the hiker" with sausage and pancakes and we shared the french toast casserole special. It was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. The french toast had a crispy top layer of pecans and brown sugar. If they are offering when you visit, you must order! They even had a little shop inside and we picked up maple syrup for both sets of our parents and ourselves. The service was fast and friendly considering they were pretty busy and had a lot of to go orders.

One of my favorite hidden gems in the Catskills! Short hours and great food makes this a lucky find to weary travelers in the area for hiking. I oddly came across it once needing a mental health break and had the coconut banana waffles and never wanted to leave... the menu is solid and i always have a good time here.

Great stop in the Catskills. I love the specialty food items. Each is made with natural ingredients and the flavor is amazing.

Hudson Roastery - Organic Egg Sandwich!

We brunched at Hudson Roastery twice on our winter getaway weekend to the Valley. In a word: it's…read morea gem! The shop offers everything you want or need: comfy seating, warm environs, genuinely friendly and attentive service, delicious from-scratch foods and beverages, and good prices. The trays of homemade baked goods coming straight out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful, too. Hudson Roastery is really good at what it does. I highly recommend it!

Incredibly bummed, especially seeing all the positive press around the quality and the sourcing…read morethey claim to approach business with, that quite a lot of the food being served was from SYSCO or another large similar restaurant supply vendor, ordered by the case and baked from frozen. Now first off, don't get me wrong, buying in bulk or sacrificing the quality of some ingredients to large suppliers like this is definitely a reality when running a restaurant. Even moreso in this day and age when ingredient prices are exorbitant. That said, it needs to be reflected in the price point. Pastries are arranged beautifully under cloches in the display case, but I could spot the premade, ready-to-bake spinach feta bistro (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/QZ119984/) or ham and cheese croissant (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/99971/) from a mile away. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! All of that said, they had a few items in the case that I'm sure weren't from one of these big vendors. Which was great to see. My (yes, unsolicited!) advice would be to pare down the menu. Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! That's one of the best things about the Hudson Valley... how much all the purveyors and markets and cafes support each other. It's clear too how much they care about the community. They're dog friendly inside. No WiFi to encourage people to chat with one another. Fine. I really want to see this place continue to thrive, it's just a bit of a bummer that a significant part of the menu including things that really should be fresh, aren't.

I was super excited when I realized most of this place is vegan, but was disappointed by flavor. The mocha was okay but lacked significant flavor and the vanilla bean latte must have had actual beans used because it was also lacking flavor but had a mysterious crunch. It's a cute place, though, and maybe other items taste better....

Vegetarians rejoice!…read more Where do I start? How about with the best damn sandwich I've had in years. This place was recommended to us, as my wife and I are vegetarians. I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. I wish I could bundle this place up and ship it to New Haven because I'd be eating one of those sandwiches every week. As for everything else: The service was great. The atmosphere laid back and funky. Everything was reasonable priced. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Joust!
