I usually stop by at this store when I am visiting this shopping mall. I go straight to the sales rack. They welcome you upon coming in which is nice. Then leave you to your hearts content in rummaging the clothes at the clearance area which I like. And you can try them out without being watched like a hawk. The items on the clearance rack are discounted already plus 60% off and another 15% off the total purchase. The lady I asked is nice and smiling. I left with a lovely sweater for a friend's birthday gift. read more

I first called to make sure Loft still existed in Northridge location, and didn't go out of business like the rest so I don't drive there for nothing. The lady that answered the phone was super nice. So I went but didn't find the great stuff that was being reviewed on YouTube. Oh well. The clothes not so great, but then again, nobody makes good quality clothing anymore. read more

My wife and I stopped by here after eating at CPK because she wanted to get a shirt. She shops from this store so she likes their style. When we walked in, we were the only customers inside. The store is nicely decorated and clean so it doesn't look messy. My wife tried on a shirt that she liked and the employee working there was very friendly. She decided to buy it and she has a loft card so she was able to save more on the shirt as well. read more

I have been a long time shopper and fan of loft. However, my experience today leaves me less likely to do business with them anymore. I had returns that were 45 days out and I did have receipts yet I got $40 less than what I paid because it was beyond the 30 days. I live an hour away from the closest loft. First off just be aware, I was not, most places allow returns 60-90 days. The credit I did get was store credit, which was frustrating too. my return was for pants that I got 3 different sizes and returned 2. I knew upfront I would be returning them. A policy I really wish they would consider changing to 60 days, like most other stores. read more

If you're planning a purchase from Ann Taylor Loft think twice before buying anything. I purchased a dress for my daughter in Northridge, CA and retained the receipt. Prior to purchasing I spoke to the salesperson explaining I wouldn't see my daughter within the 30 day window for returns. She explained there was no issue as long as I have the receipt, the tags are intact and I would accept a merchandise credit. I was fine with a credit. The dress ran very large and was a size 2 so it didn't work out. I went to the store knowing the return would result in a merchandise credit. Imagine my surprise when I visited the store one week after the 30 day window to find the dress was now on sale and the credit would only be issued for the new reduced price. I bought the dress in good faith and this is unacceptable. I asked to speak to the manager and sadly she wouldn't talk to me but relayed to the salesperson she wouldn't do anything. I contacted online support to find that had I bought the dress online and it had gone on sale they would have given me the amount I paid. My request was escalated to Corporate Customer Service and the manager refused to help in any way. Obviously I will no longer shop at Ann Taylor. read more

I received a gift certificate here for my birthday and had so much fun spending money that wasn't my own! Funny, but you can tell the stores that follow the "Cheesecake Factory Training Manual" by the way the clerks pounce on you to greet you as you enter the store. Even though I entered and scooted immediately behind a rack - "Hi! Welcome!" was shouted at me across the store. I moved further in the store trying to make my way to the sale racks in the far back left corner... "Let me tell you about our specials!" I could hear her yelling at me even though I was ducking behind the racks. LOL They're serious about the rules they must follow! So I did end up making it safely to the sale section and ended up buying a cute pair of black pants (cause who doesn't need another pair of black pants) and silky top. That was after trying on two dozen clothes. I do like how they let you walk in and try on clothes without making you feel like a criminal. But there was one older sales clerk who was sort of abrasive. She kept insisting that I should try purple and lime green clothes, and that black was boring. Uh, excuse me? It was like I'd rented my Grandmother to come shopping with me. I had to be almost rude to get her to leave me alone to my shopping without her comments. I was waiting for her to start commenting on my weight and hair with her tone of familiarity. It was downright weird! But, I love Ann Taylor Loft clothes because they're just as cute as Ann Taylor clothes with a more friendly price tag, because they continue colors throughout several seasons so things I have in my closet will color match new things I add to my wardrobe, and because they have good, stylish, affordable clothes for the average working girl. (Now if they'd lose the shouting Grandma, they'd be the perfect store.) read more

They do NOT honor their online prices. There is a very nice sweater with a tag of $49 at the store and it was priced $20 online. But their store computer does not reflect sale price. What kind of crap is that???!! read more

Just came from shopping at the store. During my 40 minute visit, I was only checked on by the Associates once. My boyfriend had to start me a fitting room and added to it since I was given no attention by the associates who were incessantly folding. The associates at this Northridge location have no clue what Customer Service is. There is one in particular (long brown hair, short height) that always seems to be miserable, instead of a greeting, she just looks at me. I refuse to shop at this store after multiple visits, no acknowledgment or assistance at all. I think the only time I received a friendly greeting was from a male employee. Not quite sure the demographic this store is aiming for. The jeans and tank tops are rather cute, but the retired lady of leisure cruise wear is mystifying. One star for the customer service. You get a hello when entering, and that's it. They disappear to fold. I was exchanging an outfit I received as a gift. When I went to the counter, the girl asked for my ID. I said "why do you need my ID, here is the gift receipt". She said corporate wants your name and address for their records. What??!! Um, I don't think so. She flagged down an equally clueless salesgirl, who finally called a manager over. 30 minutes later I was able to leave the store with my exchange, hopefully never to return. read more

I don't normally review giant corporations such as this one, but the manager (whose name I sadly did not get) was so wonderful in helping me today that I figured she deserved a shout out! I came in to return an item my sister bought about 2 months as, right before she and I left for Europe for 2 months. I went in to return the unworn item and even though I was past their 45 day return or exchange window, the manager said I could pick out anything in the store for the same price and if my sister did not like that item she could bring it back for a full refund. Otherwise, the manager said, I'd have to take the last selling price for that item which was 50% less than what she had paid for it. This was so amazing, as she just could have said that all she could do was give us that 50% store credit. I really appreciate when people don't kist take the easy way out and actually go out of their way to do the right thing for the customer. I picked out something cute for my sister and no harm if she doesn't like it...she can just return it for a full refund! Thanks manager, you were awesome and now I love LOFT even more! read more

This review is way over due! I came in on a Saturday night I believe, 30min before closing looking to buy 2 pairs of jeans. The girls were not only helpful but they bid me to stay a bit longer while the looked for a pair of jeans in my size. I wanted to leave quickly so as not to keep them but they just kept bringing me more and more jeans they thought I would like. Haha! I loved that. After about 30min we found to fitting jeans and I also walked out with a shirt. I'll definitely be back to shop here again in the near future, especially with their awesome customer service. read more

This store seemed pretty organized. I probably spent about 35 minutes shopping. I ended purchasing 2 pairs of dressy pants and 2 tops. Their clothing is great! Ive been shopping here for years and also online. Have no complaints when it comes to quality of clothes. Its great! I feel prices are reasonable for the quality you get. My daughter and I entered the store last night around 8:50 pm just to browse. After just browsing for a few minutes, a lady came from the back and said to us, the store is closing in 2 minutes with an attitude and walked on by. There was another lady helping customers at the register. But the lady that told us they were closing in 2 minutes then went on to bring down the gates more than half way so that when you exited the store you would have to limbo out! She did not offer to raise it higher and since we felt like we were treated like the movie Pretty Woman we did not say anything. She made us feel not welcomed to the store! That is why I am writing this review. If this lady is in management, she has no skills whatsoever on how to treat customers and I definitely will not be coming here again. She was wearing a pink sweater or top last night! Very unprofessional and more concerned about closing the store and leaving as soon as possible! read more
