Well, it seems times have changed (or, most likely, I have changed). They still have a very surf/skate culture feel to the store. It's slightly dark & 'edgy' but not enough that it would scare your grandma out. They leave that up to the groups of high schoolers aimlessly roaming the store in packs. They make it tough to move around as they'll just hang out in a section goofing off. You want to look around that area? Too bad. They're not even going to acknowledge your presence there. I ended up leaving shortly after coming in as I knew it wouldn't be worth my time. It seems like, at least for the men's inventory, they have a few of several styles, but not a ton of variety. I hope the women's section has better variety but I can't speak for that. I just know their men's swim section was tiny & their section of currently hip (read: overpriced) t-shirts was big. I guess my days of shopping at Tilly's have passed. Maybe one day I can pass the cap off to one of my kids.

Well, the lady at the fitting room was not happy when I replied "sadly, not" when she asked if they worked out. I gave them back and proceeded to checking out the cute Halloween items. I ultimately left the store without buying anything but the alarm went off as I was leaving. I went back inside and told the same woman I had nothing on me; she began communicating with other staff via their headpiece, saying stuff like "she doesn't have anything, she's carrying a water bottle, iWatch and her purse." So I started to walk out again but she walked behind me so I stopped again and told her I have NOTHING and she looked at my purse, which is a small 9x6x2 crossbody I jokingly opened it and she leaned in to check it. At this point, a male was approaching us and all I said was "this is ridiculous" and left. I was profiled and disrespected. Instead of them apologizing and wishing me a good day a second person came? Not okay at all. This was a very unpleasant experience and I will never set foot on that store ever again.

The store is large and was fully stocked. There is so much merchandise here, all priced at affordable prices. You obviously don't get the best quality when you buy from these types of stores, but somehow, they always seem to get the job done. There is plenty of parking in the huge, private lot, and employees were helpful when I asked for assistance in locating specific items.

Every time I try multiple things on, I always have to walk out and look in the mirror while other girls take selfies and ogres of themselves in the mirror and I feel so uncomfortable being in the background. I am a curvy woman who has a big bust and curves, every time I try on my clothes and I have to walk out all the nasty and b**** associates always give me the dirty stares and looks and snicker at me. They all have the nasty attitudes and the absolute worst customer service skills. Sam body shamed me when I was trying on a dress and I am a size 8/10 and she pulls out a size 0 for me to try on, when she clearly sees I'm a curvy woman who's a size 8/10 M/L. They always make me feel uncomfortable when I am trying on clothes glaring at me giving me dirty looks making me feel uncomfortable and laughing at me behind my back to the other associates looking at each other while I look in the mirror. This location has the worst associate and the Yuli who is one of the manager's is extremely rude and very unhelpful. She is extremely fake and doesn't care if you complain how her associates treat you. All she does is apologize in a passive agressive manner. They do not train their employees well with customer service. All of them are unwelcoming, not friendly, and are very disrespectful. Every time I come in to shop here with my boyfriend to buy my clothes, the associates always make it hell and give you the worst in store shopping experience. Everything about the Topanga location is a complete joke. I don't like Yuli the manager or Sam. They are both awful. Even the manager needs to be trained in customer service skills it's pretty sad honestly. The only positive thing I can say is, the most helpful and friendly associates are Mahroo and Pam! Pam made me feel comfortable when I tried on my clothes and made me actually feel confident when I was in the store looking at myself in the mirror. Pam has great customer service skills too Mahroo gives excellent customer service skills and helps pick out great outfits! I recommend asking for Mahroo or Pam, to save yourself a headache from all the other ones. They will both take care of you and make sure you have a great shopping in store experience and find clothes you love. I love Aritzia's clothes and the clothes jaw lays Keisha's and come home with, and the quality of the clothes as well. I live in Calabasas and I will not be returning to this location unless something I need is in stock here and it's my closest store to home. I will be continue shopping online at Aritzia's website and go to the Century City location, where I'll have a much more pleasant and welcoming in store shopping experience and be treated with respect, have better customer service and friendlier welcoming associates, and not be body shamed for being a curvy woman. But apparently, my taste in music, for the goth culture and more often than not; finding myself wearing ALL BLACK has definitely evolved over the years. Let me explain! As a teen, my go to music was always 90's/2000's rap and hip hop. You know.... Tupac, Biggie, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and of course Eminem! I was real gangsta back then...Haha As I made my through high school, I switched gears a little as bands like... Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Korn, System of a Down, Blink 182 whom had either recently debuted or which had suddenly caught my interest.... I remember everyday wearing a red cap backwards just like my boy Fred Durst... I thought I was so cool... Ha! Suddenly I was in College and I found myself going to concerts for bands like Panic! At the Disco, Cobra Starship, Fallout Boy.... Ahhh, Those were the good ol' days!!! In Present Day, I still love those artists, those bands mentioned above, but nowadays, I even have a new appreciation for both the classics (Classic Rock) and even this new Age stuff. In the last few months I've gotten into collecting Vinyls and if I keep buying them like I am, I'm gonna go broke... But I LOVE IT!! =) Most recently, my wife who is OBSESSED with this newer band I'm about to drop, has also had me jumping on the bandwagon with her.... Literally! Playing it on my own without my wife around... Please don't tell her, otherwise it will be another "W" in her column ;) So why do I mention all of this?? Because of my wife's obsession and my sudden fandom in Sleep Token, I have been into Hot Topic more times than I can count lately to look for S.T. Merch., get my wife the latest and greatest S.T. Band T's and look for attire to wear to the concert we went to this past October at the Crypto.com Arena in DTLA. Not gonna lie..... It. Was. EPIC. Of course.... You KNOW we were in ALL BLACK... (My wife almost convinced me to wear black eyeliner)...... ALMOST lol As we were waiting outside the venue for the doors to open... We weren't the only ones in all Black!!! EVERYONE there was!!! And. It. Was. Awesome!! HOT TOPIC... You would have been Proud! (Insert Black Heart Emoji Here) ------------------------ As far as H.T. is concerned.... The Hot Topic at Westfield Topanga is small, but their selection is pretty decent. They have all of the latest band merch., T-shirts & Pop Culture of everything in the now... and of course the classics from back in the day. The staff is always friendly, helpful and assists me with whatever I'm looking for. Which of course is probably Sleep Token merch ;) So..... Have you looked up Sleep Token Yet?? Start with Take Me Back to Eden, Chokehold, Emergence and Look to Windward starting at... 3 min and 15 seconds.... You're Welcome!!!! (You might wanna turn your volume down...or Up!!)
