Really disappointing experience at this DSW. Genesis the manager was extremely unhelpful and made…read morewhat should have been a simple issue much more frustrating. Their store has signs of online price match if it shows a lower price. DSW website shows $15 off the shoe I had in hand and she told me she can't honor it in store and have to buy it online. So I did and when I asked to get it since they were right there she said I have to leave and come back in 2 hours with attitude. It took less than 15 minutes to process and customer service told me they CAN honor the price in store. Genesis has poor customer service skills. I felt like my concerns were dismissed instead of actually being listened to or resolved. The one bright spot was Luis, the other manager. He was genuinely kind, patient, and actually took the time to help me. He listened, tried to find a solution, and treated me with the customer service I expected from the beginning. I really appreciate Luis, but unfortunately the experience with management left a bad impression and I won't be rushing back to this location.

It felt rude but still wanted to buy some items here so I paid but he was also very dismissive and disinterested as I paid and gave no service. They told me they not gonna be lower than $200 so I went in based on that conversation. Once I got there, they offered only $160. I understand a resale business needs to inspect shoes in person and make a profit, and I wasn't expecting them to pay retail or private-sale prices. But the condition was already shown in the photos, and cutting the offer another 20% after getting me into the store felt like a waste of my time. If $160 was realistically their range, I would have appreciated knowing that before making the trip. Just sharing my experience so other people selling shoes know that the price discussed through messages may change significantly once you arrive.

This was after I already ran my cc for the $150 Uggs (at 7:30pm on Saturday 9/28). I had also purchased Air Jordan's at the kids Foot Locker a few stores down and they had no issue with me not wanting to provide an email. I then spoke with the manager and she said it was their policy. I then inquired, 'you're ok with losing a sale and a customer over an email', she smiled and said 'you're free to shop somewhere else. So...I walked down a few stores and purchased the Uggs at Journey's and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It blows my mind that an organization as big as them are willing to turn customers away over an email. Oh well, I'll never make another purchase at Foot Locker again.

What made it worse was that the employees spoke so quietly that we could barely hear them, and instead of speaking louder or helping us, they became irritated when we asked them to repeat themselves. The attitudes from the employees were also terrible. As customers, we should not feel like we are bothering the staff simply because we cannot hear them over the extremely loud music. The checkout experience was just as frustrating. The lines were extremely long, yet there was only ONE register open. There were employees walking around the sales floor, but apparently there was not enough staff available to help with the long checkout line. Keep in mind, this was a Wednesday and the mall was practically empty, so there was really no excuse for the poor service and long wait. Overall, the combination of excessively loud music, poor communication, rude attitudes, and unnecessarily long checkout lines made this a very unpleasant shopping experience. Management seriously needs to address the customer service and staffing issues at this location.
