So apparently at The Footlocker in Northridge mall, they require an email for a purchase. I told the clerk I wasn't comfortable sharing that info and she said she couldn't complete the purchase without one. This was after I already ran my cc for the $150 Uggs (at 7:30pm on Saturday 9/28). I had also purchased Air Jordan's at the kids Foot Locker a few stores down and they had no issue with me not wanting to provide an email. I then spoke with the manager and she said it was their policy. I then inquired, 'you're ok with losing a sale and a customer over an email', she smiled and said 'you're free to shop somewhere else. So...I walked down a few stores and purchased the Uggs at Journey's and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It blows my mind that an organization as big as them are willing to turn customers away over an email. Oh well, I'll never make another purchase at Foot Locker again. read more

Staff are helpful but not very informed. We wanted to purchase a pair of shoes and they didn't carry the size needed. So they offered to order and have it shipped directly to us. Awesome, right? Wrong -- just the day after, we received an email from Footlocker that it was out of stock and we had to go back in to the store to get a refund. So we did - even though this store is half an hour away. Then the staff says, no, they can't process the refund because corporate has already processed it. Just give it a couple of days to show up on your bank. We wait -- now it's been over two weeks since this happened and still no refund. Corporate said the store should have processed the refund. And now still waiting for corporate to try to process it without having to go to the store. I mean -- I paid your store, you certainly didn't have any problems charging me at the time. Why is it so difficult to return the money for something I didn't get? Maybe check inventory next time before offering to order. read more

Shameka has a bad attitude and made the visit very unwelcoming. I had my nephew and daughter go in and ask for 2 sizes to see what fit better. She had a rude tone to her, and seemed bothered that they asked for 2 sizes. She asked " well what size are you?" If they are asking for 2 sizes what's the big deal in bringing both out? Store closes at 7p, I made it at 6:59p. I get it, it's super last minute but all I had was a shirt exchange so I figured it'll be super quick. Daniel was standing by the entrance area and stated "we're closed". I mentioned to him it's not 7p yet and I have a quick exchange, it won't take long. He again repeated to say "we're closed", I then asked for a Manager. He stated he is the Manager. I mentioned how is it your closed already when it's not 7p, I told him it will be a quick visit. He finally approved, during this back and forth I could have already grabbed what was needed and be out by 7p. I was out by 7:03p, and mentioned it to Daniel as he was impatiently waiting to close the doors. I also thanked him and apologized for going over 3 minutes. He said nothing back, I then asked for his name twice, he still did not answer back, finally the third time he replied back. I have background with training employees of customer service skills, Daniel has major opportunities, especially being he's a Manager. He was rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, lack of passion, and did not show a hint of empathy. She offered other suggestions at other locations that might have them in stock. I thought that was really nice of her. I had a terrific time this afternoon when I came to this Foot Locker store. I been here before but it been a while since I got a shoe from here since I usually wear Project Rock. When I walked in the store today, an employee greeted me. I went straight to the adidas men section to look for a comfortable shoe for car detailing. My old Project Rock delta cushion was worn out so I needed a new shoe. The same employee who greeted me came over and asked if I needed any help. I told him that I needed a comfortable shoe for car detailing and he said the ultra boost is very comfortable. I told him I wanted something cheaper and he said the Retropy E5 is almost the same material but cheaper so I tried that on. The Retropy E5 felt amazing when I put it on and the cushion on the bottom feels like you're stepping on foam. It's very soft and when you jump on them, the pressure when landing is almost nonexistent. I was very happy with that shoe so I went home and got it from their website since I had a code for online. read more

Footlocker has fallen off big time since I was in high school. I came here to get some shoes and they didn't have many shoes in a size 12.5 or 13 men. The choices they had were terrible, on top of that they said they hardly get any good shoes releases that are raffle and to try the SNKRS app. The SNKRS app is a complete joke as well. Do not go to this location! Got to the one in the Westfield mall instead. The manager Cristal is rude to customers and doesn't know how to do her job. The rest of the employees just seem overwhelmed but the main reason is because the manager Cristal keeps pulling them in a bunch of different directions instead of letting them help out the customers to provide good customer service. My daughter waited in line to get into the store (because they were at capacity), unsure if they even had the product she wanted in stock (we asked before she got in line and they would not give her an answer). I have hip issues, so I walked around and ran into another store until I saw her go in, so I didn't have to stand still and aggravate my hip more. When she gave me the thumbs up that they had what she wanted, I went to go pay for it and they refused to let me in with my underage daughter. Not only that, they made me get back in line and wait 10 minutes before I could be reunited with my daughter. Bad service! Well, more like super slow service! We walked in here knowing exactly what we wanted and no one approached us and no one greeted us so we left to go to shoe palace. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size that we needed and so we had to come back here to foot locker to check. Same thing, I timed it, my boyfriend and I gave it 2 minutes to see if anyone would come and there was one guy who seemed very uninterested in helping. I literally watches him do nothing and walked inside like he was ready to reach for his phone to text. He eventually came out and asked us what size we needed and he brought the shoes out and just handed it. I wanted to exchange a pair of torn running shoes (within 90 days of purchase). The manager tells me to call Nike, and that Foot Locker can't do anything about it (which isn't true). I return to the store and mention that I purchased the shoes only a few months ago, and that the employees could easily search the database for proof of my purchase. The manager tells me that the system prior to June has completely been deleted (I guess everyone who purchased their shoes prior to June and lost their receipt is S.O.L.). She tells me I have to go home and bring the physical receipt AND the shoebox. So I went home, but I couldn't find the physical receipt. However, I was able to call Foot Locker customer support and they were able to e-mail the store my receipt (somehow this never occurred to the manager). Finally, I was able to get squared away. The entire process took about two hours for me to get squared away (and I had to go home and come back twice). At every step of the way, the manager's advice was, at worst, completely wrong, and, at best, unhelpful. I figured out how to replace my shoes in spite of her misleading advice, not because of it. Each of her questions and statements seemed in an attempt to discourage me from replacing the shoes. ("We can't help you, you have to call Nike........our database before June is deleted, you need the physical receipt.....you can't return the shoes, only replace them). In addition to all of this, as it turns out, the store does NOT e-mail you you digital receipts upon purchase. I have no idea if this is a Foot Locker policy or specific to this location, but it has happened to me twice now. Once when I bought the shoes (90 days ago), and once two days ago, when they were replaced. I asked both times to get e-mailed a receipt, and both times I never got a digital receipt. I will never buy shoes from this location again. And if you decide to, whatever you do, don't lose your receipt! read more

I normally have an OK experience at this foot locker, for the few times I have gone, but today's experience made me want to write a review :) I went in to exchange a pair of shoe soles that were under warranty, and in doing so, the associate, ANDY, who was not very friendly nor helpful, was unable to do so because he needed to keep my original receipt and unwilling to give me a copy of my new receipt. When asking if I could at least have a photocopy he said they didn't have a copier.... I went over to Lady foot locker and they were able to easily switch the soles, and I got a receipt. read more

It's true, the service here is quite terrible... IF you're being helped by certain associates. In the previous month, I came to the store 3 times. Each of those times, I was not acknowledged. Why? The young man who "works" there is always standing around and entertaining his lady friends who just sit around at the store for too long and flirt in front of clients. I witnessed this associate having a side conversation with one of those girls WHILE he was helping a gentleman check out at the register. How rude!!! I have ended up being helped by Willy during each of my visits. He always goes above and beyond to provide great service- professionally, ethically, and patiently. Anytime I am there, it is evident that it is only him that is more than willing to assist. During my last visit, he was working EVEN THOUGH he had fractured his finger earlier on during his shift and was medicated. Yet he was still patient even after asking a few other associates to search for something for me in the back and they didn't even budge! Anyhow, terrible store in general, and poor management that don't care for the well being of their employees AND will just hire random people who socialize during their work hours.
