Great service from Chris! I was at the store looking for a model from their Heritage line. Chris said they had them in stock, but not in the color I wanted (black). But Chris still offered to size me up and then do an inventory search at other location. He had my foot scanned on their machine and pulled out the shoe for me to try on... but in brown. He even recommended a set of insoles based on my foot scan. He then conducted a search and found one pair in my size and color available at another location. Chris was very knowledgeable about Red Wing products, even telling me about the features of different models, and history! A few days later, I went to the other location that had my shoes in stock.. Their staff was useless. I told them what shoe I was looking for and they just handed me the box. No assistance with fitting, sizing, or anything. I asked them about insoles, and they just handed me a random pair that were too thick and uncomfortable. Since they were the only store that had my shoes in stock, I purchased them there, but returned to the Granada Hills store to get the insoles that Chris recommended. read more

I'm giving these boots 4 stars because, while they're great, the price is quite high compared to the cost of making them. However, I'm writing this review because Red Wing offers an impressive selection--every size and style of boots, along with a few other brands. My salesperson, Mr. Wilson, provided outstanding service. He was incredibly patient, took the time to ensure I was getting the perfect size, and made sure I had the right boot and insole for my job as a stagehand. He even allowed me to exchange them for a half-size larger since my right foot tends to swell after a couple of hours of work. These boots will definitely see a lot of use, and I'll be back to purchase a second pair. I highly recommend the Granada Hills Devonshire and Balboa store and Mr. Wilson! socks and Insole is a must! read more

I was here 10 am Sunday morning big to to get some new soles on my boots when I bought my boots they told me I can get new soles and never mentioned Paying they said it was included . Anyways I was here 10 am to get them done and first it wasn't open they had several customer at the door , when they finally came out they said there system was Down and can't do anything . Not event take my information and boots so we can start the process . 1 star because employee at the door was rude and start arguing with me because I said that's it's ridiculous that the store was closed due to system being down . Great selection. They mostly carry workwear with some of the heritage staples. They have most if not all of the heritage models (not all the color ways or sizes). If you need to try before you buy, this is the place. Especially with their fancy high tech fitting computer system. I mention try before you buy because they had the model I wanted, but not quite the color way. The assistant manager gentleman was very so kind enough to help me try on multiple sizes of multiple silhouettes, and 3D scanning my foot and gait. I'm not so fond of this method as every time I try it, it spits out a different size, width, and arch. They say your foot changes but I can't imagine it changes very much every few months or so. This may work for you if you spend hours on your feet in your boots and prefer insoles. Take care of your feet! The name has since fleeted my mind but the gentleman was highly knowledgeable in terms of product and the repair program. The store unquestionably deserves at least 4 stars and the service was the cherry on top. 5 stars! read more

Came to the store to return a few pairs of socks that I purchased here. As soon as I explain the reason for my visit, the store manager (his name is Cam) confronts me by asking "where is the pair that I gave you for free?" Huh??? Oh, right there was a buy 5 and get 1 free promotion. Now at this point, I only told him that I was there for a return. He immediately assumed that I was attempting to hustle him by making a $12.99 profit by returning a promotional item. Ridiculously condescending individual with a toxic attitude toward customers (again, his name is Cam). Why is he the manager here when, clearly, he has zero experience welcoming customers nor does he know how to explain anything professionally. Is it my job that your store had a promotion a few weeks ago or is it your job to remind me? Think about that Cam. However, I was kindly helped by an employee named Luis after the manager (WARNING: HIS NAME IS Cam) walked into the back even making sure I understand the transaction. He was like - Yep, I'm the boss and you listen to me then walks out. Almost like an adolescent learning in his first leadership role. I tried to support this American company but I was disappointed with this company.I purchased my Red Wing boots last year for work and I was hesitant to buy because they were on the expensive side but the sales person told me that they resole the boots for FREE. I purchased the boots for $400 thinking that was a ok deal. Well, just came back from the Red Wing store requesting if they can resole my boots and they said no problem for $100. In short, I will never recommend Red Wings and will never buy again. Wolverine boots are much better and it costs $120 only with the same quality. read more

I have a Red Wings in my hometown but ended up going to the Granada Hills location because they had the Iron ranges in the color I wanted (Amber Harness). I phoned this location and Jeanette was very quick to answer as well as all my questions.I visited the store the weekend of and was very impressed with the selection and the knowledge of both team members I spoke to (Chris and Jeanette). Before I make any purchase, I do allot of research and was completely wrong on my size and fit. Jeanette tooktime to make sure that I made the right choice in size I ended up being a full size off and I was a wide. They didn't have the wide in stock, Jeanette phone another location and was able to have them shipped to their store in under a week. I have never been more pleased with a purchase, customer service and quality of the boot. This location and brand have me for LIFE! 5 stars for the customer service. The store selection is small but the staff is so friendly and helpful. Cynthia helped us with shoes, inserts and socks. She used this high tech machine they have for finding your pressure points and such which was super cool. Cynthia was the most knowledgeable person I've talked to about shoes for your feet. She showed us the 3D type rendering of your feet and explains not just the correct size for your whole foot, but specific parts of your foot, like the instep and more. This Red Wings store was pretty great. We came in on the Small Business Saturday after Thanksgiving to partake in Red Wings' annual 20% off everything sale. We ordered two pairs of shoes and the woman helping us was super friendly and happy to work with us. We had been in a different store and had sizes and models in mind. However, this particular store didn't have the models we wanted, and the staffer helping us didn't even know the models we wanted existed, apparently because the store was missing their master catalog book. It would have been nice to see employees more familiar with the models they make, even if not available in store. Even so, she helped us by placing the drop ship special orders for the pairs of shoes we wanted, and even said that the 20% off sale that was supposed to run until noon would be honored for the rest of the day. Nice! After we got home later, we realized that one of the pairs we had ordered was the wrong model number, and had the non-rubberized sole. A 3 minute phone call got us on the line with the woman that helped us in the store, and she rapidly updated the order and helped us correct it. Easy as that, we had ordered two pairs of Red Wings and amended an incorrect order that was entirely our fault. Thanks so much to the staff in Red Wings that helped us out! read more

I always wondered why Red Wing was so expensive but after purchasing my first pair of boots today from this store I understand why... I purchased a pair or Irish Setter Steel Toe Ely and they couldn't have been more comfortable out of the box. I am actually looking forward to wearing these to work. Compared to my previous boot ( a competitors) that took me two months to break in these I feel won't have the same issue. At check out Jorge explained to me the warranty that the boots came with since I purchased then at an official Red Wing Boot Store, and it justified the price I paid even more. My one complaint, if I had to have one, is that they don't have every version of each shoe available in store. The Ely boots I bought were water proof which I didn't need and were $20 bucks more as a result. Jorge did tell me he could order me the non-waterproof ones shipped free to the store but I was impatient and didn't want to wait. (My one personal decision) Overall Great experience. read more

The shoes? Pretty good. The laces keep breaking. The service at this store? Atrocious. I'm not certain if I've ever encountered the same employee twice. Is that a sign of rapid employee turnover? I keep going back to this store because when I was first buying this pair of incredibly expensive boots I was told they came with free cleaning and free laces for the life of the boot. Well, not only have they scuffed my boots repeatedly (which honestly I'm not that upset by because I prefer a bit more lived in looking boot, i only mention it because I thought that a relevant detail for a review in case you happened to care about your boots), but also they have decided to no longer honor replacing my laces with the same ones, instead they want to give me cheaper nylon laces, and pretend as though that's been there policy all along with no explanation. Really seems like a bait and switch in regards to cleaning and laces, but what do they care, you've already bought the boots, maybe you'll drive to Burbank for the cleaning so they don't have to do it. read more

The people here are shady. I was shopping for a pair of boots here, and was concerned about the cream colored soles getting dirty and stained while hunting. The sales lady said when you buy the shoes you also get lifetime shoe maintenance service with it and that they would be able to restore the soles and boots. I brought them in after my first outing and after a week with my boots I received them back in basically the same condition. When I asked the sales guy who gave them back he basically shrugged and said it is a free service what do you expect. I took them home and with a little effort was able to get them back to a good condition, honestly if they are not going to put effort into it, why even offer it as a service. read more
