They charged me $350 over the dealer price for a key fob for my KIA Soul. The KIA dealer charges under $500 for a new key fob which includes the programming. The locksmith called me and said just for coming out to my house it would be $190. When he got here, he said he did not know if he could get the code for the key fob and fix it. (I had accidently thrown my key fob in the wash.) Since I was already out $190 for the call, I told him to go ahead and try. It took him about 5 minutes to reprogram it and said he changed the chip in my key fob and used the same key fob shell. He ended up giving me a $50 discount and I paid $800 dollars!
