Scammed me!!! I misplaced my house keys in April. Representative came to house and supposedly rekeyed all the locks and made four keys for new locks. I found the keys I lost in April today. AND THEY ALL WORK ON "REKEYED" DOORKNOBS!! He didn't rekey them at all although that's what I paid for! Just made new keys and charged over $100 for it. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and possibly filing in small claims court. It's okay to rip me off because I'm an elderly woman?!?!? read more

Buyer beware. I made an appointment with Bryan & Sons as a new customer for a deadbolt install and possibly re-keying at our new home, but failed to add it to my calendar. I do not live at the location, so it's just my Mother in law and her care providers. Not adding the event to my calendar was my fault, so when the appointment came and the locksmith arrived, I wasn't there and no one knew what was happening. I received a call from them and I apologized for not being there, but can be there in 10 minutes (no exaggeration - I live 10 minutes away and told him that much) or we could reschedule. The person on the phone said that the locksmith could not wait, so we rescheduled. On the day of the new appointment, I receive a voicemail stating that since I missed the first appointment, I had to call him back to confirm someone was at the location. So I call back and confirmed that my wife was there and provided her cell number since she was in the back and might not be able to hear him at the front door. Apparently my wife took to long to come to the door after speaking with the locksmith (she was assisting her mother in the restroom), because when she came to the front, the locksmith was already on his way back to his vehicle. He did install the deadbolt without any problems and cleaned up afterwards. In the end, he charged us not only for the service, but added half the cost of the first callout. It's important to note that he did not mention this added penalty cost for the first missed appointment during his call with me, so it was a total surprise. As business owners ourselves, we have our fair share of missed appointments and since we do not double book, we definitely understand the implications. That's why we make reminder calls and reminder texts a day or two before the actual appointment. And in the very rare case when we do charge for a missed appointment, it's always after many, many instances and with advance notice. I emailed Bryan & Sons letting them know how disappointed I was that they charged me without prior warning and that we will go back to Laura Locksmith, but did not get any responses. I suspect they do not care since they have plenty of business. read more

Got a used acura with one key from a local dealership. The key is wobbly and clearly on its last leg. I then went to an Acura dealership to get a key made them fools quoted me at minimum $350 and the programming might not work. I asked what if I bought my own key? "We can't cut third party keys it could damage our machine. " screw you guys I'm going home. Then bought a third party key on amazon and took it to another locksmith near where I work these d*ckheads say they can't program MY key but can program THEIR own.Peace the eff out. I never understood how a business would rather take no money and not even make an attempt rather than make the attempt and make money whether it works or not. Then same day went to Bryan's they told me I'm looking at a 60/40 chance the key will work but quoted me less than $100 So I said f*CK it. They did some tests on the key and my odds jumped to 80/20 . 15 mins later I'm walking out that mofo with a fully functional key a spare to open the doors in case of lockout AND a discount on top of that original quoted price. 5 star service 5 star price with a 5 star review. read more

I met one of the "sons" at the North Texas State fair, My husband and I told him we bought a truck with only 1 working ignition key and no key to the bed cover. He advised us to come to the shop and we could get the keys fairly quick. We finally made our way to see about keys and found that on a rainy Thursday there was a non stop line of people coming in! I guess I didn't realize how busy a lock smith shop was. So the bed cover key, originally quotes for about $12 ended up being about 35 and didn't take a few minutes like one normally would. The key is usually an easy one with a number on the lock that the smith's can use to make the new one. Our entire lock had to be taken out and a custom key made, there was no additional charge for working the lock or making the new key which took two days ( the reason for 4 starts not 5). Needless to say we now have a key :) The ignition key was fast and cheap, it was $120 less to get it here than the dealership. read more

This shop is really really good. Especially, if you need the copy of your car's key or FOB transmitter, you should go there. Very inexpensive price, good quality service. I needed a copy of my car's key and to register FOB that I bought on Ebay. I visited three other places, other local lock smiths, to copy my vehicle's key and register FOB. Other shops, they can't copy the key and they don't know FOB. they told me to go dealer shop. However, Bryan & Sons Locksmith Service can do everything! Even cost is inexpensive! My mother recently lost the key to her lockbox. I call Bryan and Sons and was informed that they could have it open in no time. We went up there with the lockbox and sure enough, it was open in no time. My mother thought an extra key might be in the lockbox, but it wasn't. Don't be fooled by the size and location because in these doors is the holy grail of customer service. I want say what kind of deal they gave me because they might go out of business for their generosity, but their level of service , his explanation was simply we want you as a customer and tell your friends, I have never experienced that kind of service from anyone in a long time. having had keys made at other places (home depot, lowes, etc) that didn't work, i choose NOT to waste my money on a key that doesn't work. they are experts here, have a huge selection, and the keys always work. i haven't priced keys at other places, but i suspect, that if they are higher priced, it's probably only by a few cents... but you will get a key that WORKS!!!, isn't that the point? to me, i'd rather pay for someone who does keys for a living, rather than someone who got half hour training on a machine... read more

I want to tell you why I'm impressed with Bryan & Sons. I've been in customer service since I was 8 years old, no joke. When I agreed to have them come out and do a job at my house, I had decent work done, but it was not complete. There were loose ends that needed to get tied up from an employee that rightfully no longer works with the company. I was not completely satisfied, which is why I spoke to Brad, and he bent over backwards to make things right. He was willing to do everything it took for me to know that Bryan and Sons had my back as a customer. And that's a good mark of a great company.... When things go wrong or are incomplete, outside of Management's control, and then when they learn about it and drop everything to address it head on, that's true greatness. Brad not only took care of me inside the store, but then he even came to my house to complete what the former employee missed. Brad went above and beyond to make things MORE THAN right. Inexperienced Techs High prices Went to them to get a 2005 Ford F150 key programmed. They said they could but since I bought it online they would make no guarantees. I said that is fine. The tech Bryan cut it programmed the FOB and then tried to program the chip. The key did not work and the Tech came and told me it was the wrong kind of chip in the key. HE SAID I COULD TELL BY THE STAMP ON THE SIDE. Well, why couldn't he? He is the one who works with keys. He said for me to come back with the right key and charged me 50 dollars for his error. Dan offered to program the right keys when I got them. I thought that was nice since I had already paid them $50 for a tech to learn something. Then I called the key vendor who said it should work but would gladly take back the keys even though they had been cut. SO NOW I WAS CONFUSED. Which is it? should the 80 bit chip work or not? So I called Bill Utter Ford. they told me that is the correct key and they use the 80 bit keys all the time for that model year. So I called back the locksmith. Then they said "Well then the keys are bad." So being frustrated at this point I just asked how much to just give me two keys and two fobs that they KNOW how to program and they wanted $150 more so $200 total for two keys and two FOBs. Those keys online only cost ten so their cost should be half that. WOW. That is a lot for an old truck. I am going to order new keys and take them to the dealership which only charges $40 out the door for both keys and seems to what they are talking about and doesn't change their story. I know companies have to make money. I get that, but your techs should know what they are doing and not change their stories. And also If you want to keep a new customer it helps to not charge them $200 for $25 dollars of material after they deal with a bad tech and have to make several phones calls verifing something that wasn't true. Just my opinion. I would not go back there even If they refunded me (Which they did not offer) read more

Normally I do not take the time to write a review unless there is something extremely unusual: This is a family run business where members of the family hang out around the shop. The owner/operator of the shop thinks he has to be nasty to the customers so he can terrorize his employees, show off in front of his family and feed his own ego. I was trying to explain the difference between the key-less remote that I got from his shop and the original remote; he got extremely defensive and angry. The ironic thing is: I was not blaming him and I did not want my money back, and would have gladly paid for another one if we could find one more compatible. He asked me to contact the dealer and give them the VIN number so he can figure out what type of security system was installed. When I started to say I will not be able to do that since I had somebody drop me off and my car is at a different location. He did not let me finish my sentence and started screaming with a very angry voice "You need to listen for a fucking minute". At this point I knew there is something seriously wrong with him and left the shop. When I came back the next day to pick up my keys I thanked the son for his good work and paid him another $150. I wanted to give him another chance just in case he had a bad day. So on my way out I pointed out to the old man that he was disrespectful and owes me an apology. Of course, as expected, he had another fit of rage and said he will not apologize and threatened me with a physical assault if I did not leave his shop. In all fairness, the rest of the employees were very courteous including his son. I would not recommend this shop for customers or for work even if it was the last one on Earth. read more

I recently purchased a Jeep and the ignition key wouldn't lock the center console. Brought my Jeep to Bryan and Sons and rather than sell me a new lock or new keys they actually diagnosed why the lock wasn't working and removed lots of debris from the lock and cleaned it really good for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Bryan and Sons locksmith. I called them for a total replacement of my car keys as I had lost the original and the valet. They gave me a quote over the phone and sent a technician out. They discovered that they would need to send a computer to the dealership to have it re-flashed. They notified me before doing any work and gave me a revised quote for me to approve. They got the computer back, put it in my car and gave me 3 new keys.
