He told me he would be finished in 30 minutes. He actually finished in about 20 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised and shocked. You see, just 2 hours prior, I had SOS Locksmith at my home. The tech was here for an hour and 45 minutes and I had no key. He said the same thing happened to him yesterday with another 2017 Corolla. He attempted to troubleshoot and even called his supervisor. He believes that there is some software that he doesn't have or some other trick to program the replacement key. His supervisor did not have a solution either. Their main office said I should pay for the tech's labor, on top of the $19 service fee. I told them I wasn't going to pay for the company's inability to provide the proper equipment to do the job. So, time to call another automotive locksmith. Then Barry showed up, with confidence and a smile, and told me he would finish in 30 minutes. I was skeptical, but hopeful. Well, I had a key in 20 minutes! Barry provided incredible service, he was very friendly, experienced, hardworking, adept, and the list goes on. She ended up needing a completely new mechanism because it jammed and he drove out to a Toyota dealership the same day to get the part and returned promptly in order to put it back together. I unfortunately can't remember the name of the gentleman that assisted us. He was quick, direct, and efficient. As anything that comes with the fear of getting something with your car fixed, we were terrified of being cheated on pricing. Once he provided a quote, we were able to quickly confirm with our local mechanic via phone call that it sounded legit. We needed a second key for a used Honda minivan we purchased. This company came out, knowing what…read morewe needed, and yet they didn't have the right key blank. My wife paid their fee, as they said that they would come out the next day. The next day they showed up and did not have the correct key. My wife, believing that they were reputable paid their invoice of $699. I decided to call the Honda dealer and asked them what they would charge for the same service. I was blown away when they said about $200! I immediately contacted Locksmith Express and asked for a refund, less their $29 service call fee. It took me weeks before i received any refund, and even then, they charged me a "key programming fee", which they said they had paid $69 for, yet their invoice was charging me $387! That's quite a mark-up. I would stay away from this company!
