A locksmith is something we don't need very often so when we do need one, how do we know it's a reliable, prompt and honest locksmith? I will share this experience I had today with Levi from My Local Locksmith at our business. I contacted Levi this morning at about 06:30AM. I needed him to attend to an issue with our front door. First, he responded immediately and he was very pleasant, very communicative and very professional. When I told him that today is a very busy day for me and that I'm a bit under pressure to get this taken care of,he said, 'on my way, 20 minutes' He was at our door exactly 20 minutes later. Levi was very quick to determine how he needed to approach the issue with the door and without further ado went to work. He pulled out his tools, pot or protective eyewear and some short minutes later our door was open and the lock working like new. I do know that at least a couple of our customers have used him in the past to re-key their doors after moving into their new homes. Responsive, professional, careful, communicative, on time, great customer service and fair prices. What else could you ask for from a locksmith? Best Locksmith ever!! I am 7 months pregnant with a serious case of baby brain and locked myself out of my car. My husband who has the spare key was in a business meeting and was going to be an hour and a half or more before he could come help me. I called Levi and he saved the day!! Revised Review: So the first time I used this company they were awesome, which is why I called them again tonight. Tonight they failed. Not only did it take him a hour to show up but he charged me 30% more than the last time. When I questioned the difference in price the young man ignored me and proceeded to charge me the higher price without any explanation. I just wanted to know what merited the change in price. He was not nearly as friendly and had a lot less distance to travel to get to me. I will no longer be calling My Local Locksmith. He originally came out to my work place where he attempted to create a new key/remote combo for my Ford. He tried two different Ford-manufactured key/remotes but neither worked. He left me with two transponder keys free of charge since he would need to get a key from the Ford dealer. Within a day or two, he had what he needed, called to set up an appointment at my house one evening, and was prompt to the appointment to create the key/remote combo that worked for my car. Wow....I had the worst day. I'm a letter carrier who carried about 15 miles of mail today, got home, and my key wouldn't open my lock! I did a yelp search and Levi was the first locksmith who answered the phone. I told him my issue, he told me he'd be here in 15 minutes to take a look. And sure enough, 15 minutes later, he pulled up, all smiles and ready to work! I was exhausted and thought it would take a while. Nope. I swear this guy is a magician! For example, as a temporary solution, until the arrival of the new parts, he disassembled an unimportant lock elsewhere in order to take parts from it for the main lock that truly needed it.
