The laid down a plastic tarp to minimize the mess. He got to work, confined a few details with meX and had the lock installed in less than an hour. He cleaned up with a vacuum also. I called them about a locked vehicle. Asked about the cost over the phone. Was told $20 to send locksmith and $30-60 for them to open. As soon as the locksmith arrived he quoted me $159. I told him I was told differently over the phone and he said his bosses price is $159. Called The best locksmith and he came for $90. It's more so the principle over the money difference. AJ locksmith technician changed my office locks less than 3 months ago and charged me $300. Later I was told by the building manager that the lock that was placed on my office door was not accessible by the security and police master key which I was never informed by the original technician. I called AJ locksmith again to change the lock so police and security can access it via Master key which I was quoted $700. I got the lock changed with $210 on the same day. If you are a business owner I would strongly suggest not to call AJ locksmith because apparently, they are used to office managers write them a check for any amount they ask for. My sister has a 2015 Nissan Altima. The key fob was lost so we called A J Locksmith & Security. The owner said that he was gonna refer us to this guy named Dani to make the fob. So Dani came and completely messed the car up. Now before the key fob was lost the car ran fine. He was all under the hood opening the fuse boxes. I was watching him wondering what he was doing. About 30 minutes into this walked up and asked him what are you doing. He said making the key fob. He then said that the car had electrical issues that we needed to take it to the dealer. I said it was running fine until you got here. About 5 minutes later he walked up and handed us the fob and a bill for 571 dollars. My sister told him that he quoted 175 he said he had to do all this extra stuff. Long story short we tried to call A J but he wouldn't answer. My sister paid the bill against my advice. I called A J office and they said Dani didn't work for them. But A J sent him out to us. It was a scam. I wouldnt recommend A J Locksmith for anything. They are a scam artist. Great service! I asked for quotes on yelp to replace my front door hardware and Joey responded quickly and had some questions about the job. He asked for photos of the existing and new handle set and determined I needed a different brand if I wanted to keep the same key for all my entry doors. I purchased a new set and additional sets for my other doors. We set an appointment for 2 days out and Joey arrived promptly. The handle set was not compatible with my existing door but Joey presented several solutions and was able to replace all 4 entry door handle sets in about an hour and a half. The new locks work well and look great in my home. His price was very fair and he offered suggestions on how to upgrade my front door in the future. I WILL NOTE BE RECOMMENDING THIS SERVICE TO MY CLIENTS OR ANYONE . (as a matter of fact, I will be posting on my social media that I do not recommend and to find someone else). I explained that it was a simple entry in a Ford F150 that was older and would like a ballpark figure. They also told me they were local... This is not the case so I imagine the higher pricing comes from the time getting to my home. It took longer to write the receipt than to open my door. It would've been cheaper to knock out my window than to pay this inflated price. They give you a 39 dollar service call quote, then rack up the price when you get there. Had I not needed my vehicle this weekend, I would've waited longer. Fortunately I have the resources to pay, but i'm thinking about people like my sister and clients who are single and who couldn't afford to have something like this done.
