Was able to perform service at 11PM. We were locked out of our place after our digital lock failed. They replaced our digital lock after it malfunctioned, charged $440 for this service. The technician said he had to also unlock the deadbolt as well which is a lie, we don't have keys for the deadbolt so it impossible for us to lock it from the outside.. DISHONEST Charged $320 for a new doorknob, seems a little steep but not sure. read more

One year after I had a lockout service, my key got stuck in the doorknob and couldn't be removed. I called a different locksmith, who informed me that the cylinder was not functioning properly because the pins were damaged. Turns out, not only was Locksmith 247 LA overpriced, but they also damaged my lock. I would not recommend their services unless you love spending money and being inconvenienced. read more

Locksmith arrived after about 35 mins and immediately informs me that he'd have to break the top lock because it was a smart lock. Fine. He then informs me that it'd be $350 and that he was being "nice" about the pricing being that it was a Saturday evening and that they could charge more. After breaking the smart lock, and removing the bottom lock, he did not even attempt to reinstall the bottom lock but just left me with a basically open door. $350 to simply break the lock is utterly insane, and I feel taken advantage of in an already uncomfortable situation. read more

When the mortise lock on an interior door failed and the latch was stuck a closed position, not locked. Locksmith quoted me $265 to open the door. Locksmith was unsuccessful in releasing the latch and caused several hundreds of dollars of damage to a vintage solid wood door that I may need to replace entirely. Only cleaned up the mess he made when prompted and tried to tack on a previously undisclosed $25 service call fee. Now I am left with a big repair job. Not the outcome I had hoped or paid for. read more

This is a scamsmith, don't listen to the reviews. They charged me $400 to open 1 doorknob lock and never gave me a receipt. Do not call them, find another reputable locksmith. They sent out someone in a family van with no business decals and he ended up damaging the door frame from prying it open instead of picking the lock. I learned my lesson, you can avoid having to go through the same. read more

So I'm leaving an honest review based on MY experience. i had got locked out of my car with my sister and daughter while taking my little to the ER my sister called and asked for pricing the guy said 150 if we waited for him to come we waited outside for a LONG time and when the service was done he charged me 200. when we said he said 150 over the phone he said other 'people charge more' i just wanted to get my daughter out of the cold so i didn't care but he texted and asked if i could leave a "nice review " and my response was 'I'm leaving an honest review based on my experience' he's trying to say how other people would of charged more and he'd give me $30 back I said 'thanks for the service but I will NEVER hire again' i understand business is business but there is no reason as to why YOUR customers should be lied to especially if a certain price was already given. read more

That horrible moment when you walk to your front door and can't find your keys. After searching my car, etc., I drove back to the one store I went to, retraced my steps but returning empty handed an hour later. I got on Yelp and called Locksmith 247 because they are local and ultimately, they have great reviews. Ben came quickly, within 15 min. He was friendly and polite. Carrying a large tool bag he appeared to be prepared for any situation. In less than 10 minutes the door was unlocked. Regarding value, it's important to remember the Good, Cheap, Fast Rule. Pick two, you can't have all three. In this case Good, check. He did a job I couldn't do with that "special tool" none of us have. Fast, check. From the initial call to Locksmith 247 the problem was solved in less than 1/2 an hour! Cheap, not necessarily "cheap", but reasonable given the situation and fair. I look at it this way, I would have paid that same amount charged to have NOT gone thru this entire time wasting event! BTW. My keys were on the counter. Right where I left them : ( read more
