Eddie checked his stock, which originally showed they had the belt in stock, but then came back to the phone and said that they did not have the belt, but to come up with my old one and we would find a match. Well... Apparently, Eddie continued to look while I was on my way. When he saw me walk through the door with the worn-out old belt, he met me within about 15 feet of the front door with the OEM belt I was looking for. He had never seen me before, but was looking out for me. This is the best customer service I've received from any retailer in quite some time. I have shopped there for 12 years, perhaps 2-300$ a year. I brought in a blank key I had purchased many years ago and asked them to make a copy of my house key. They told me I had to buy a new blank or they couldn't do it. People shop at places like Jabos to get the service you can't get at the box stores. The young man couldn't figure out how to operate the machine and wouldn't admit it. Then he got a lady who gave me the "you have to buy from us" routine. Neither were friendly. Then the manager finally came and gave me the same routine. Finally I asked him if he was going to be able to help me. I asked the question in a way that got to the point and made him decide. He stammered around and never did answer. At that point I did say "shit" to which he got immensely offended and started pointing his finger at me. "The new machine won't let us". Surely there is an override and in the rare event that there isn't, I hope the owner takes note. Needless to say, but I won't be returning to the local small business because of two things. Poor attitude and poor service. As the manager of a small store, you have to make big decisions. they made me feel as though I was at one of the big box stores. The sad thing is that I shop there because I had come to enjoy and expect the service, in a world that service is hard to find. Before you judge me, let me ask you. She called over her walk-in talkie.... And that is when Steve (guy in the black shirt) walked into my plumbing emergency. Steve told me I was totally in the wrong aisle and he confidently took me where I needed to be. He took the nasty used pipe out of the old grocery bag I had it in, and got to work. He found everything I needed. He had to cut the pipe as mine was not able to take a kit piece. By bringing the old piece in he was able to cut what I needed to size. I was in and out, so quickly! Each time the sales person has ordered an incorrect item, causing a huge delay in my projects (most recent being over 2 months). No apologies for their mistake. Then when my order arrives to their store (if I'm paying for shipping it would be nice to have it shipped to my house), I only know it's in because I am emailing/calling for updates. Have gotten zero communication from the sales person. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. I don't mind paying a bit more if their customer service was excellent, but it's awful.
