It certainly stands out from surrounding businesses and they spent some time renovating the inside. Very nice decorating but that Q smell hits ya just as you step inside. Smells GREAT! I chose the chopped beef sandwich with creamed corn. The girls running the counter said it was their favorite. I would say reasonably priced too. Sat down and they called me number a few minutes later. That sandwich was HUGE. Piled high with meat. Input a little bbq sauce on it but didn't need much. That sauce was just right too! Not too sweet. Let me tell you that brisket on my sandwich was a little touch of Heaven. Tasted so good! The potato bun is also a great choice as a bun. It will fill you up though. Our favorite kind of place. It has cool little slogans on the wall related to BBQ, etc. I enjoyed reading them all while eating. Not really much to say about service. You order at the counter and they call your number when it is ready. The lady that took our order was super sweet. We tried the pork belly, burnt ends, and brisket. For sides we got macaroni and cheese, corn, and cole slaw. All of it was really good. We did not have one bad thing to say about any of it. We both agreed that we would definitely be coming back. Based off some other reviews we were worried the Mac n Cheese was not going to be good. We actually love it and thought it was really good. This is definitely our new BBQ spot. Update Well, we went back today for lunch because the last time was really good. This time on our second visit, not so much. We got ribs and brisket again and the ribs were room temperature and tough. The fat wasn't rendered completely. It seemed the warmer might have been turned off overnight. Our burnt ends also were not charred, and a lot of fat is not rendered on them and they are rough to break apart. These burnt ends should jot have been sold. They forgot to include my bbq sauce which was a bummer. I think it would have elevated the whole eating experience. Jalapeño sausage was too spicy for me but husband did like it. The potato salad was not for me but I'm more of a mustard girl (Texan) the baked beans, too sweet for me but remainder 3 of the household enjoyed. The Mac and cheese were good and the rolls, we all agreed were yummy. Today was their first day offering tacos, so I had to come try them! I had two: one pulled pork and one chopped brisket. My 13 y/o daughter did too. To quote her: "It's like a flavor explosion!" They were big and full and while she couldn't finish the second, it wasn't for lack of desire! I'm normally a corn tortilla girl and believe that tortillas can make or break a taco, but these things...mmmm....perfection! Tacos aren't a regular menu item (yet!), but you don't need tacos to get Local Craft's goodness! The pork had the perfect smoky flavor and the brisket was incredibly moist without being fatty. My 19 y/o had a pulled pork sandwich. She said, "Sometimes when I get these at other places they're dry. That was NOT the case here!" and she cleaned up what fell out with her fork.
