We live close and I often "sleep" on this little BBQ Spot. Everything is tasty and cooked to pure perfection. The pit master deserves a bow! They were out of the ribs...no biggie and close early for a BBQ rest. 7:00. They suggested the Pork Belly Burnt ends. Talk about delicious, tender with just the right amount of sweet apple sauce taste. I can't describe it...it's just well other worldly. The turkey, best I've ever had was MOIST. Sooo dang good. I saw they had "egg rolls" and only served them on Fridays. Hold your Asian Pure Bread horses...these ain't your typical egg rolls. They're stuffed with pulled pork, cream cheese, jalapeños...this is some backwoods Texan culinary concoction that will surprise you. Damn it's good! Their potato salad is my absolute favorite. It's sour cream based and served chilled. Again other worldly. Their green beans are equally as good..seasoned! I'm not some BBQ die hard fanatic but I know good food! No sides. Both were all that we are looking for in BBQ brisket and ribs. Perfection on both meats: rendering, smoke, seasoning, bark, rib meat to bone relationship, etc. Everything one expects from meats properly cooked over post oak on offset pits. Offset pits! The sauce here is quite nice and an especially great compliment to the pork ribs. Didn't ask if house made but I assume it is. 05/9/2025 Friday 11:50. Local craft is right on the road past the post office so keep an eye out. A throw back to small town Americana. A little joint with a hopping business as such the parking is not quiet enough but the dollar store will do. There was a little line, nothing too crazy. 1 person taking orders and manning the register, 4 good folks behind her preparing the various items. Everyone was moving quickly and no one seemed frazzled or stressed. It has ample seating in my opinion. They serve burgers too, but I came for the brisket and pork belly. Paired with green chili corn and baked beans. The brisket. One of the best I have ever had. Hear me out, it was not the moistest, dissolve in your mouth brisket (think Pecan lodge), but it was a good meaty, moist brisket. Had a great chew and the bark and seasoning were perfect! Not too peppery. What put this brisket at a five star for me, despite the moist aka fatty (for you real bbq folks) it was not heavy. I can put it any better than that. The fat gave it flavor and moisture but not too much. The smoke delicate but permeated the entire meat! Wow! The pork belly is sliced like brisket instead of the usual cubes. I think perhaps this is what lent to the dryness and not quite hit enough. That having been said, the flavor and smoke was spot on. I didn't mind the dryness because of the flavor. This pork belly would have been amazing hot and fresher. The sides. Creamed corn wasn't exactly creamed but good. The beans a little on the tangy side, which I like. Of course, I don't go for the sides. It is really great when I find one or two that can give the meat a run for its money! I highly recommend this place for really, really good cue. read more

They had their food truck out at a fall festival tonight, and as someone who loves food trucks, this one definitely impressed me. I wish I'd snapped a photo, but between the crowd and my hunger, I didn't stand a chance! I ordered the turkey sandwich with mac and cheese, and both were fantastic. The turkey was perfectly cooked (not dry at all, which is rare for BBQ), and the portion was generous with plenty of flavorful meat piled on the bun. The barbecue sauce itself was excellent too, rich and balanced with just the right amount of tanginess. After this experience, I'll absolutely be making the drive out to Newark to visit the restaurant. If the food truck is any indication, it's well worth the trip. Recently heard about this place and saw good YELP reviews. We drove over from trophy club to try it out. Newark is certainly off the beaten path, but this place is worth the effort to get here. We shared the 3-meat plate, plus an extra side. Pepper sausage, sliced brisket and smoked bologna (in honor of my Dad). All were excellent, as were the baked beans and baked-potato salad. The mac-n- cheese was a bit dry...I prefer ooey-gooey m-n-c, but it certainly wasn't terrible. The staff was very friendly and helpful in talking through the menu. Best BBQ I have had in quite awhile. Had the Craft plate- 4 meats and choice of 3 sides. Turkey, Pulled Pork, Brisket and Pork Belly. Turkey was thick, tender and extremely juicy. Pulled Pork was a bit dry and over shredded, but still tasty. Brisket was a little tough and semi-dry. Pork belly was tender and flavorful but not overly-greasy. Sides: Baked Potato Salad was wonderful, a nice change up from regular potato salad. Chili screamed corn was surprisingly good. Mac and cheese was creamy and had just the right amount of crispy topping on it. Not a big place so during super busy time there would not be seating. Staff was very friendly and sweet. Great little place in North West Fort Worth area. If you're going up 287, north of Fort Worth put this in your GPS and give them a try. The brisket is very good, I wanted some turkey, but they were out but they did have one smoked chicken breast left. I took that instead of the turkey and was extremely impressed with the quality and the smoke it had. I just needed something to snack on so I didn't try any of the sides. Our local hang out where we live had a BBQ buffet night that is always overpriced and my dad only wanted some baked beans. He's not the person who will go ask someone if they will sell him a side portion of their buffet meal for a smaller price, so that weekend I went hunting on Yelp! for some baked beans for him. This place popped up and even though it's 30 miles away in a direction we don't go that often, we jumped in the car and went. There are not many parking spots and they were all full so we figured that was a good sign. It was. The food was great, the people were very friendly. It is not a very big place, but they use the space well. It was pretty obvious that it was our first time there because when we heard our number called, we all wandered around aimlessly with no clue where to go. I do wish their sides were a bit more exciting. I've tried a few and haven't fallen in love yet, but the sandwiches are enough to keep me coming back. Where the heck is Newark you ask? I had to look it up myself. Basically it's on the NE end Eagle Mountain Lake. Found it here on Yelp looking for BBQ in Fort Worth area. This place may be a little out of the way but it's definitely worth the drive. It has a real mom and pop atmosphere and the BBQ is excellent. I came for lunch and had the OMG sandwich. It was delicious and it was large enough I could have split it with my wife. I'll be back again soon for dinner. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for a long time and drooled over the photos! They close at 7 (or when sold out) so we called ahead. Sadly they were sold out of ribs and burnt ends We ordered a little of everything! My son got their burger with a side of mac and cheese. My daughter got a kids plate with brisket and mac and cheese-I was impressed they offered a kids plate, most places don't! My son looooved the burger! Hubby and I got a craft plate, a brisket stuffed baked potato, and their cherry bombs. The craft plate included brisket, pulled pork, turkey, and pork belly, plus 3 sides-we did macaroni, baked potato salad, and green chili creamed corn. Cherry bombs were jalapeños stuffed with brisket, wrapped in bacon and drizzled with a cherry glaze we took home a ton food! All of the meat was great! We loved the brisket, but we were more impressed with the pork- the pulled pork was moist and flavorful, and the pork belly was amazing! As for the sides- we all made comments about the macaroni, and felt it lacked flavor. The kids compared it to the macaroni at their school. The green chili corn was yummy! The loaded potato salad was the best potato salad we have had at a BBQ restaurant!! Overall a great barbecue place! I haven't tried every bbq spot in Texas, but I have tried a lot in the DFW area, and for me this place is the best. Brisket never fails, the smoke turkey is a must have, the ribs don't need any sauce, the flavor of the rub is fire. After I saw that 407 BBQ was supporting this new BBQ....I had to come check it out myself. That's a great recommendation. So me and a few co-workers came down to give it a shot. It certainly stands out from surrounding businesses and they spent some time renovating the inside. Very nice decorating but that Q smell hits ya just as you step inside. Smells GREAT! I chose the chopped beef sandwich with creamed corn. The girls running the counter said it was their favorite. I would say reasonably priced too. Sat down and they called me number a few minutes later. That sandwich was HUGE. Piled high with meat. Input a little bbq sauce on it but didn't need much. That sauce was just right too! Not too sweet. Let me tell you that brisket on my sandwich was a little touch of Heaven. Tasted so good! The potato bun is also a great choice as a bun. It will fill you up though.
