Soooo I'm going to keep this short and sweet, I have 3 stars because my son liked his burger. We came on a weekend about 20 minutes before closing and our server treated us like we came too late. I used to work in the restaurant industry and I know that you're supposed to give great service no matter what, especially if you want people to tip. I normally tip at least $20 to my server depending on the bill and service but my service was so blah I used my tip calculator which would have had her at $5.00 but I was kind to round it up. She looked annoyed when my 9 year old asked if he could have A refill of lemonade. I have ordered from here to go and the food was actually good so when I ate inside I just knew it would be yummy but no my falafel was SOGGY, my husband's shrimp pasta was dry and no flavor. The place was beautiful for a easy family dinner. However. The food was mediocre. My husband ordered a burger, medium well and it was nothing but pink in the whole middle. Asked for pickles and condiments on burger and it came with none. Fries were cold. Not semi cold. But cold as in it's been sitting there for a long while. He also ordered an old fashioned and it was the worst he's ever had. What place has a full bar but doesn't know how to make a popular drink? I ordered a pizza and a side of fries. Fries, once again were extremely cold. Pizza was decent but soggy in the center. We were looking forward to this place and unfortunately was extremely disappointed with the outcome. We went for lunch today and the service was abysmal. The wait person never brought us our water and messed up our order. She also never offered to refill any of our drinks. The worst part came when her shift was ending she began to nag us out closing out our check. I mean really we get terrible service and then you want us to hurry up and do what you want? I've put off making this post in hopes that our experiences were perhaps flukes. Local table has always been one of our favorite restaurants, but here lately the food seems to have gone down in quality. I don't know if the ownership or the chef has changed, but it's not the same as it used to be. The past four times we've eaten there my husband's salmon wrap has been dry and overcooked. The wedge salad dressing that we use to crave doesn't seem to have the same kick as before. And- the lemon pasta (used to be my fav) has also lost its kick. It doesn't come with as much sauce, and the sauce it comes with is not as lemony and has fewer capers than before. It was so incredibly good when we first went, and I'm hoping they can get it back together. read more

While my assessment of restaurant cleanliness may be off, my assessment of management clearly is not. This is not a situation the restaurant had no control over, they simply could have not sat us (or anyone) where they knew an issue existed. I'm a bit surprised the owner response didn't include an apology as though its hard to understand people being unhappy about being surrounded by gnats while they spend money at your establishment. I eat at to the other Local Table fairly regularly and enjoy their food, this location just handled, and given the owner response, continues to handle this situation incorrectly. read more

Love this place! Super tummy food. Though, last time I went to try something new, grilled chicken chibbata (I know I spelt that wrong forgive me) bun? It was good. First time here , Luz was our server tonight. She greeted us within 30 seconds with a smile, She was very attentive, didn't need to ask for a refill on drinks. I had a chicken sandwich was 10/10. My girlfriend had the chicken tortilla soup, she enjoyed it as well. When Luz asked about dessert we were hesitant and said no. 2 min later Luz came and brought us a chocolate cake, we basically licked the plate clean. What else can I add, it's all in the name. Locally sourced ingredients whipped up to make amazingly tasty and healthy dishes. Portions are hearty, always have enough for a second meal later in the day or the next. Great servers with happy attitudes. The cast iron fire roasted brussels sprouts, glazed to perfection, did not like brussel sprouts until I tried these. We wanted to try somewhere new and we're not disappointed. Our server, Mikey was great and made suggestions for appetizers. We got the crab cakes and spinach dip. Both were very good. Entrees left everyone satisfied and talking about the food. The honey ginger salmon, Brussels sprout salad and kabobs were delicious. Kids were satisfied with their meals as they actually finished entire plates. A few desserts were also tasted. The cheesecake was amazing, rich and delicious with a homemade raspberry sauce. This is a great place that uses locally sourced food. They serve unusual drinks, and during Christmas, we had a drink with Dram in it, I cannot remember the name, but it was like Christmas in a glass. Their Hummus is great as well as the Cast Iron baked goat cheese. read more

Couldn't decide on a place to eat on a very crowded Saturday night here in Houston, and a quick Yelp search pulled this restaurant up. I was in the mood for an American dish, but I wanted a dish that had a touch of healthiness. As I took a look at their menu, I was impressed by their vast selection of food, and I decided to give it a try. I'm quite glad that Yelp pulled this restaurant up because the food here is simply amazing. I ordered the Hawaiian Pizza and I was simply blown away by the flavor of this dish. Each bite provided a new burst of flavor, leaving me with a feeling of wanting more. The savory delight of this pizza will blow you away, and I'm sure that other dishes will do the same. The service was also exceptional. The staff were quite kind and friendly, and the urban decor made me feel as if I was dining at an upscale restaurant. I'm glad to know that their ingredients are organic, and I'm definitely looking to pay this place another visit! He payed attention to detail, didn't bother us repeatedly, but he was paying attention to us from afar and alert in case we had a question or needed something. He swooped in every time we did. I love his enthusiasm for the company he works for and the community that supports this establishment. I have always had good service here... but Roberto is exceptional! The Local Table Bar is a nice chill spot. The drinks and food were tasty, and the service was attentive.

I do not often leave reviews, HOWEVER, I will say after visiting the Local Table, I felt I had to!! This place was outstanding!! The ingredients were fresh, the staff was super friendly and full of positive energy and more importantly she was knowledgeable of the menu.
