My husband and I went here for brunch today - amazing place. We ordered the jalapeño hummus for appetizer and it was wonderful and fresh. I also recommend the Mimosa Flight. Very refreshing! We both ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict - very impressed! Our wonderful waiter Christian took excellent care of us. Never wanted for anything. I had wanted to try this restaurant. Everything on their website looked good. I read the reviews and even though there were some bad ones, I figured I would still give it a go because it look awesome. We arrived, the place was packed. My date and I were stoked. We went in and got seated, the waitress came over took our drink order and appetizer. My date ordered a shot of Casamigos resposado tequila. One of the managers came over and said she was sorry to inform that they were out. A minute later the waitress returns with our drinks. My date asked her if the drink was Casamigos that she ordered, she said yes. Skeptical we called over the manager who informed us they were out. She went back and checked and said, she misspoke. Cool! We placed our order. We ordered the Spicy shrimp tacos, Lemon Pasta and Penne Rustica. The order arrived and the shrimp tacos were beef not shrimp. We sent it back of course. The food was ok at best. The service was dismal. Then we get the bill and one shot of tequila was more than any entree we ordered. $17 for one shot of Casamigos reposado! Not a double shot, a single shot. I was like this can't be right. I asked the waitress to get a manager and confirm, surely enough he said it was correct but he would discount the shot. No place is perfect day in and day out so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and just say this was an off night and maybe new staff. I am a firm believer in second chances, so maybe I will try again but not in the near future. PS, I am not a big drinker so I had the strawberry spritz, best part of the meal! read more

Tried this place out for the first time recently and was not disappointed! The staff from entry to table were very friendly and welcoming. The waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations, I ordered the margarita pizza and it was delicious! Cucumber martini was also amazing! The manager, Lopez, was pretty much in eye sight the entire time and checking on guests making conversation. I love to see managers on the floor chatting it up so that was great to see. He eventually made his way to our table and chatted for a minute and was very charming and friendly. Over all, we had a great time and we will be back! read more

Every time I am in Houston I visit Local Table and/or Local Bar. The food is delicious and huge bonus is that it relieves the travel blues by giving my body the boost it needs. Reasonable faire and drinks. Wine list is adequate and well rounded. Cocktails are great. Last but never least, the service is first rate. Servers are attentive and managers are always about, both assisting and helping. Manager Michael Lopez checked on availability of a favorite dish for a later visit to sister bar, just because we asked. Looking forward to next time! read more

I've put off making this post in hopes that our experiences were perhaps flukes. Local table has always been one of our favorite restaurants, but here lately the food seems to have gone down in quality. I don't know if the ownership or the chef has changed, but it's not the same as it used to be. The past four times we've eaten there my husband's salmon wrap has been dry and overcooked. The wedge salad dressing that we use to crave doesn't seem to have the same kick as before. And- the lemon pasta (used to be my fav) has also lost its kick. It doesn't come with as much sauce, and the sauce it comes with is not as lemony and has fewer capers than before. It was so incredibly good when we first went, and I'm hoping they can get it back together. read more

The food here was unbelievably good and the service was good. I got the avocado toast expecting something small for lunch but it was huge ! Portions are great for the price. I was extremely pleased with everything. I also tried an alcoholic drink (frozen Bellini) and it actually tasted like alcohol. Most places are just juice ! I will definitely be going back. read more

Love this place! Super tummy food. Though, last time I went to try something new, grilled chicken chibbata (I know I spelt that wrong forgive me) bun? It was good. The only problem was too much bread, I could barely get to the inside of the sandwhich. Fries, are 100% from potatoes and you can really Taste it. First time here , Luz was our server tonight. She greeted us within 30 seconds with a smile, She was very attentive, didn't need to ask for a refill on drinks. I had a chicken sandwich was 10/10. My girlfriend had the chicken tortilla soup, she enjoyed it as well. When Luz asked about dessert we were hesitant and said no. 2 min later Luz came and brought us a chocolate cake, we basically licked the plate clean. This is a great place that uses locally sourced food. They serve unusual drinks, and during Christmas, we had a drink with Dram in it, I cannot remember the name, but it was like Christmas in a glass. Their Hummus is great as well as the Cast Iron baked goat cheese. read more

What else can I add, it's all in the name. Locally sourced ingredients whipped up to make amazingly tasty and healthy dishes. Portions are hearty, always have enough for a second meal later in the day or the next. Great servers with happy attitudes. The cast iron fire roasted brussels sprouts, glazed to perfection, did not like brussel sprouts until I tried these. This is by far the best eatery in cypress area! The roasted Brussels sprouts is one of many favorites for us. Also, the hummus, goat cheese appetizers never disappoints! Mr M. Couldn't decide on a place to eat on a very crowded Saturday night here in Houston, and a quick Yelp search pulled this restaurant up. I was in the mood for an American dish, but I wanted a dish that had a touch of healthiness. As I took a look at their menu, I was impressed by their vast selection of food, and I decided to give it a try. I'm quite glad that Yelp pulled this restaurant up because the food here is simply amazing. I ordered the Hawaiian Pizza and I was simply blown away by the flavor of this dish. Each bite provided a new burst of flavor, leaving me with a feeling of wanting more. The savory delight of this pizza will blow you away, and I'm sure that other dishes will do the same. The service was also exceptional. The staff were quite kind and friendly, and the urban decor made me feel as if I was dining at an upscale restaurant. I'm glad to know that their ingredients are organic, and I'm definitely looking to pay this place another visit! If you're having any doubts about where to eat or just looking for a new place to dine, I highly recommend this place. The food is great, service is amazing, and it makes for a great outing. The ingredients were fresh, the staff was super friendly and full of positive energy and more importantly she was knowledgeable of the menu. We are huge fans of Hungry's so we were SO excited to get Local Table in Bridgeland. As residents of Bridgeland this is huge for our neighborhood. We went tonight at 6:15 and not only was the service AMAZING so was the food. Erin was our server & she was so patient with us. (We came with a 3.5 & 1.5 year old.) The food came out so quickly! The jalapeño hummus & Baja Chicken Wraps were fantastic! Shervin visited our table twice & even took the time to chat with us when we moved to the outside bar area to finish our drinks. We basically overstayed our welcome & had a great time! Thank you for coming to Cypress. We will be visiting every week for years to come! read more

While my assessment of restaurant cleanliness may be off, my assessment of management clearly is not. This is not a situation the restaurant had no control over, they simply could have not sat us (or anyone) where they knew an issue existed. I'm a bit surprised the owner response didn't include an apology as though its hard to understand people being unhappy about being surrounded by gnats while they spend money at your establishment. I eat at to the other Local Table fairly regularly and enjoy their food, this location just handled, and given the owner response, continues to handle this situation incorrectly. read more
