A wonderful new joint for Mexican food in Germantown. We loved the atmosphere and overall hip nature of the decor. The wait time was long, close to an hour on Thursday evening. But once seated, service was prompt. We loved all three salsas from our salsa trio and also loved the melt in your mouth corn on the cob. The enchilada has delicious cheese and is full of flavor. The only thing we disliked was the overly sweet rum tres leches. We were looking forward to it all evening but ended up being a disappointment. She checked on us very often and was very knowledgeable about the menu. If you have dietary restrictions please ask questions. We found out there was dairy in the cilantro lime rice . Today we tried the new restaurant in Germantown. I must say, We had a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and i love the restaurant decor. They have some pretty Amazing Tacos (The Chicken one was my favorite) I actually created my own sampler of Tacos. The service here was great as well. Al was extremely friendly and made great recommendations. Alicia went over and beyond to serve us her favorite dish (The Biriria Quesadilla) because we were told they were sold out after we ordered them. It's probably they most popular dish her . We also tried the corn and cheese dip . Of course the Margaritas are good and strong here'. My least favorite taco was the Ribeye fajitas. It's not bad, just not to my liking. But everything else was delicious including the Shrimp Tacos, Market Corn and the Guacamole. I will definitely be back again soon, especially for the Margaritas and some Chicken Tacos !!! read more

I have multiple issues to address: 1. We came here for the ahi tuna and were told that they ran out of ahi tuna. This was on a Friday evening at 6p, prime time to anticipate more people and have extra on hand. We were also informed by the waitress this happens everyday and they still don't anticipate or do anything about this. This is completely unacceptable 2 . Only time they have happy hour is mon - wed. I have never come across such idiotic happy hour times. Every place I have been to has it every weekday. Completely absurd to have it only mon - wed 3. In the bathroom there is only one paper towel dispenser and of course it was out. They have no extra dispensers like all normal bathrooms do 4. The primo margarita was not tasty at all. I thought it would be similar to a Cadillac margarita -top shelf w Grand Marnier. But it was definitely not comparable 5. The fact that they charge for salsa is pretty ridiculous as well 6. Poor service at the bar. Took over 10 minutes for the bartender to clean an empty spot for me. Later, one of the managers (a guy that seemed sad and quiet) waited on me. Never checked on me once. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and the light dimming in the evening gave a really cozy vibe. The food and drinks came out within a decent amount of time. I ordered the Local'Lite, which is the skinny margarita. It was delicious and I could barely tell the difference. The food was good but no better than any other restaurant offering similar options. I tried the veggie tacos and it was okay. Could have used more seasoning but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed the salsa flight and being able to try different salsa options. My fave was the Caribbean Mango, not too sweet but great with chips and on a taco. Even with being on the waitlist, our estimated seat time was an hour or more. We moved to Memphis from California 2 years ago and have tried finding good Mexican food around here for the longest time. We tried Local Lime for the first time in May and fell in love! Finally some good Mexican food! This is the closest thing you'll get to real Mexican food like there is in Cali. We just came back a second time already and it's our new favorite restaurant in Memphis! The drinks are great. I got the Spicy Mango Margarita which was really good and my fiancée got the Paloma. We also get the queso flameado with chorizo. SO Good and the ribeye fajitas are so delish! I got the fajitas both times we came. I told myself to try something else but they were too good not to have again. I absolutely love the decor/design of the restaurant. It gives a Mexico City vibe which I love. The only con I have are the long wait times but I get it, it's a great restaurant so of course the wait is going to be long. The service is great though which is also a rare find in Memphis. My group of three split a salsa flight (verde tomatillo, chipotle, and Caribbean), queso (delish!), three tacos and a birria quesadilla. We tried the fish and shrimp tacos and they were really good. Loved the curry sauce on the shrimp tacos. But I think the biggest hit at the table was the birria quesadilla. Dipping sauce was not too greasy and the flavors of the quesadilla were delicious. New upscale Tacos and Margaritas joint in Saddle creek. We came on a weekday and it was packed. Had to wait about an hr at 6pm. Luckily Saddle creek shops were right outside and we were exploring alot of the places we haven't been to. I left my # so that they could text us when our table was almost ready. 45mins passed and I get a text that our table was almost ready and to come back. 5mins later I get another text that our table was ready. I like how they used these new technologies as simple as texting customers when tables are ready. Really appreciated that. As we were getting seated for a party of 4, we ended up in this oval booth like table which could easily sit 7-8 adults. It was a bit loud as I sat directly across from my wife. I had to scoot to the middle of the booth where both our kiddos were seating. I felt like we were screaming at each other. Even the server couldn't here us and we had to turn our vocals up 5 notches. Our chip n dip were promptly served after the order was put in. We were excited to try the 3 diff salsas. The chips were not your traditional triangles as they were cut in strips and fried. You can taste how fresh it was with the light crisp. I really liked the Carribean Mango with the fresh mixed fruits and also the Verde tomatillo that had a slight kick. The house tomato was just your normal salsa. As for our entrees we ordered a Shrimp and Ribeye fajita, kids chicken nuggets (not pictured), shrimp and chicken fajita (not pictured) and a Barilla Quesadilla. As I bit into my Shrimp and ribeye fajita, it was filled with flavor and def was a ribeye cut. You know how normal restaurants say its ribeye or high quality beef but it's not? Well this is the real ribeye, I believe it's the first time I've had real ribeye on a fajita. It was delicious as the onions, bell peppers and tomatoes were mashed together on the hot skillet. My son had the Barilla Quesadilla which was just filled with slow braised beef with Jack cheese grilled to a crisp. There was a side of Caldo Rojo broth for him to dip in as well. He thoroughly enjoyed it. My toddler had the chicken tenders, I didn't get to try it but she seemed to like it as well. My wife enjoyed her Chicken and shrimp fajitas and really enjoyed the chicken as it wasn't overcooked and still juicy. Overall, I think this is a great addition to the Saddle creek/Germantown area. The bar was open seating but of course no seating available when I was waiting. The inside is decorated perfectly. I hope new restaurants in Memphis mimic the nice ambiance. Very colorful inside. The Birria quesadillas were really good! The dipping sauce or whatever was very flavorful, I've had a hard time finding Birria anything bc the sauce is usually tasteless. This one did not disappoint. The queso was perfect and more than enough chips. I got the small and it's only a dollar difference in the small and large but I feel like it's prob the same size. The margarita was solid to me. I only needed one. Tres leches is for those 21 and up bc it had rum in it. Very tasty. I'd get it again. It was soft but not as soft as I prefer, they may have had it in the freezer, but again. I've already done a review of this restaurant. All positive! But I wanted to write ANOTHER post, just to say thank you to one of their servers, Brittany (I hope I spelled it correctly). I'm writing this review while I eat my food. I didn't want to forget. She has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND for me, in my first 5 minutes of sitting here. She's given better service in 10 minutes than I've had for entire meals. She knows exactly how to make a person feel like the server cares about the quality of food and drinks.
