Reading other reviews, it seems people are complaining about the automatic tip (ours was 15%). You cannot control the price of the food or the tax so you will take it out on the only person you can: your wait staff. For those in the back, not leaving a tip isn't hurting the people you want to hurt. The waiter has no control over when the food is ready or the quality thereof. My dinner companions really liked the various flavors of frozen margaritas that they had. Service was friendly and fairly efficient. The manager came by the table and said hi. He recognized some of my family members who had visited several times previously. Ambience was okay. It's just a cinder block building without any real redeeming artistic significance. For those dining inside of the restaurant, there is a mandatory, 18% gratuity, automatically added to the check. The men's restroom was relatively clean. A lot of the low rating reviews are people being petty, or perhaps they didn't go to the same Crazy Cactus in OB that I go to. My wife and I have eaten here at least 25 times and have brought friends and family here when they visit. In all of those visits you would think that we'd experience one of the issues that the one-star folks talked about. In all of our visits the food had been delicious and brought to the table in a timely manner (even when we had an eight top). The service has always been exceptional, very friendly and prompt with refills. The atmosphere is great, not too loud but not awkwardly quiet. So again, I'm not sure where these other folks ate, but we'll always be back to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant: Crazy Cactus. read more

I totally didn't think that another visit to this place would warrant an even worse review than the last one. I was wrong. I went with my youngest two children for a Sunday lunch. I let them choose the place and they love Mexican places, had seen this one, and wanted to try it. I didn't tell them I had been before and wasn't a fan. I have been passing by the Crazy Cactus restaurant for months here in Olive branch. I finally decided to give this place a try. My wife and I arrived around 6:30pm. Happy hour was still in place, so we decided to try the lime Margaritas. This were very good! I ordered the Enchiladas Supreme nd my wife ordered the Chicken Chimichunga(both served with rice/beans) for $9.99 each. These were both cooked very nicely seasoned and had a very authentic taste to it. I have tried multiple Mexican Restaurants and this one ranks in my top 5 now :) Food was abundant and almost did not finish my Margarita! They have caryokie starting at 9PM so this place on the weekends is packed! The only negative about the Crazy Cactus is the parking is not very plentiful; However, people come and go with carryout orders so there is some open spots. This will be for sure a repeat visit for me! The atmospere is like a sports bar, but there are both tables and booths for couples. I ordered something out waitress recommended that I think started with an "a". Had a choice of meat so I chose steak. I liked it but was surprised it wasn't served with tortillas. I would get it again. Our waitress was Irma. I thought she was going to be standoffish at first, but I'm happy to say I was very wrong. Turns out she had a great personality and makes good dinner recommendations. There is another waitress there we know from elsewhere, Krystal and I can tell you from experience she will be good to you as well. Had the best chicken street tacos here that I've ever eaten anywhere... literally anywhere - in my life. Shockingly delicious. My husband ordered chicken and cheese with beans and the beans were amazing... just exceptional. The salsa is fresh with hunks of veggies and the service was fast and attentive. On February 16 around 7:45p, I called Crazy Cactus to place a order for pick-up. I told the guy I wanted a Steak Burrito No Beans. He then asked did I want the cheese poured on the burrito or on the side. I told him that I would like to have the cheese sauce on the side and I emphasized that I did not want beans. They gave me a burrito with just tortilla and meat. I called the manager to tell him and he told me that people order their burritos as such and I should have told the guy taking my order what burrito I wanted. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
